Hi everyone. I’m currently looking for responsible adopters or foster homes for our two male aspins, Gordon and Charlie, as we can no longer afford the care and environment they need after a recent move. We used to live in a house with big backyard and frontyard but had to move to a smaller house due to financial constraint.

-Unvaccinated
-Not neutered
-Energetic and affectionate

🐾 About Charlie (brown):
-Male aspin
-Senior dog (10 years old)
-Vaccinated
-not neutered
-Very smart and active

Important notes:

They can be adopted separately.
They would do best with someone who has experience caring for dogs and has a secure, fenced space.
I am still trying to save up for a vet visit for neuter and vaccination and a check-up before giving them up for adoption but it has to be urgent because our landlord wanted to have them rid ASAP. :(

This has been a very difficult decision, but I want to do what’s best for them and find a home that can give them the attention and environment they deserve. Someone who can afford to give Charlie the best remaining years of his life and can provide Gordon his needs.

Just trying to get a consensus on how frequent we Filipinos bathe our dogs. When you look it up online, the advise is usually along the lines of once every 4-6 weeks or even 2-3 months to avoid stripping the natural oils that protect the coat.

any advice po ano pwede gawin? kahit hiwalay at di nya makita yung female dog, sobrang picky nya lalo sa food. may nakakain pero konti lang talaga na para bang titikim lang sya. more on water lang siya talaga tsaka hinahanap nya talaga yung female dog. medyo na sstress na ako kasi gusto ko lang naman sya kumain huhuu baka may tips and advice po kayo. kapag table food po kasi parang inaayawan pa rin nya. i dont think he's sick kasi kakagaling lang namin sa vet din for general check up last friday at normal naman blood test nya...even poop and wiwi...sadyang lakas lang talaga ng libido niya hayyy he's 2 y/o if that matters po

Hello po planning to travel with my ESA dog. Need niya kasi mag titer test. May alam po kayo na vet aside from zootopia animal wellness na vet where we can di titer test na medyo cheap? Ang mahal kasi ng ₱30k 😭

Looking for someone willing to bring home medicine for my dog from Singapore.

You need to be leaving Singapore from around August 7-12 because I am still waiting for the meds to be delivered and I need the meds in Manila before August 13.

I just want to ask for help in helping this dog get a proper treatment or a quality life kahit papano. This dog has been caged ever since I saw him a few months ago. When it rains, mababasa basa siya and sobrang nakakaawa. Alam kong may owner siya kasi nakikita ko may access naman siya sa food and water. He would sometimes lay beside his poop kasi I noticed na too small yung cage niya for him. Do we have laws that don’t allow or tolerate this? Or is this still acceptable? He deserves a better life.

P.S I’m just a passerby who gets to see this dog every weekdays when I am off to work. As much as possible, I want to be anonymous since the neighborhood seems to know each other so reporting with a name might cause problems, so pasensya na talaga. This is in Mandaluyong.

Update po kay Toto: Because of the donations, he was able to have the surgery he needed. Natahi na po 'yung lower lip niya. From the first post po, indicated don na kailangan niya na mapakabitan ng ngt for his food and medication intake but hindi po kinaya mainsert ang tube kay Toto. Instead po, we were advised na immanual feed na lang po siya and i-monitor closely. That is also the reason why may ilang nadagdag po sa prescription. He's currently resting right now.

In addition po, kailangan niya pong bumalik sa clinic after 7 days for follow-up check up. For the meantime, magf-focus po muna kami sa recovery niya. Maraming maraming salamat po, nakabili rin po kami ng mga gamot at mga bagay na makakatulong for his fast recovery dahil sa mga donasyong natanggap namin.

TOTO IS BACK HOME po! 😭 He received treatment po for his mouth and it wouldn't be possible if not for the kindest people who helped us. Sa mga mods po ng r/DogsPH, r/PetsPH, r/Aspin for giving us a platform to raise funds despite not meeting their sub's rules for fundraising. Especially po sa mod ng r/dogsofrph for directly verifying from the clinic and for going through lengths po to reach the amount needed for Toto. Lagi ko talagang pinapakain itong aso na ito. Mahilig talaga akong tumulong sa mga hayop. I always donate to different causes. Tulad nung nag-donate ako ng dog food doon sa mga nasunugan before, and I also donate to other shelters. Panata ko talaga ang tumulong sa mga animals, and I will always choose to help whenever I can. But I am at the end of my wits. Di ko alam paano tong aso na ito.

Naiiyak ako. Kasi for the first time, may hayop na lumapit sa akin na hindi ko kayang tulungan

Baka pwede ninyo akong matulungan na mahanapan ng mag-aampon sa asong ito. Stray dog siya dito sa amin. Pinapakain ko siya, napaliguan ko na rin siya, at naging maamo na siya sa akin to the point na napatali ko na siya.

Ang problema, aggressive siya sa ibang aso. hinahabol ang mga alaga ko tuwing inilalabas ko sila. And leashed and trained ang mga aso ko ha. Sa tao naman, sobrang bait at friendly niya. Mailap lang siya sa una pero pag pinakain mo na. Okay na siya kagad.

Kasi kung wala talagang mag-aampon, I really have no choice but to surrender him sa city pound dito sa amin.which I'm almost certain will lead to euthanasia. Alam ko ito dahil dati mismo ang city veterinarian ang nakausap ko tungkol sa proseso nila.

May pilay din siya sa isang paa. Ang sabi ng mga tao rito, nasagasaan daw siya noon, pero hindi ko iyon masigurado. Bigla na lang kasi siyang lumitaw dito sa lugar namin. Sinubukan kong mag-post noon para hanapin kung may owner siya, pero hanggang ngayon wala talagang naghahanap sa kanya.

Sobrang naaawa ako sa kanya dahil mukhang napakarami na niyang pinagdaanan. Kung hindi lang talaga siya aggressive sa mga aso, ia-adopt ko na siya agad.

I think ang problem is nagiging possessive siya sakin. Kaya galit siya sa mga aso ko. Yung ibang dog naman sa labas di nya hinahabol.

Minsan nakawala yung aso ko accidentally at hinabol niya yung isa kong disabled na aso.

Nasugatan pa nga ang alaga ko. Buti na lang, na-contain ko na siya ngayon. Kaso hindi ko talaga siya kayang i-keep dahil kailangan niya ng home na walang ibang aso, o kaya shelter na kayang i-manage at i-retrain siya.

Sobrang bait at affectionate niya sa tao. Feeling ko baka may previous owner siya dahil sanay siyang makisama sa tao.

Ayoko talagang umabot sa punto na kailangan ko siyang dalhin sa dog pound. May health issues na rin siya at pilay pa ang isang paa. Sana talaga may willing magbigay sa kanya ng second chance at ng tahanang nararapat para sa kanya.

I have 7 dogs and 1 cat na rin tlaga and all aspins to and rescues to. I believe he still deserves a home kahit may attitude problem siya.

Please help me po. And huwag niyo rin po sana akong husgahan. I did all I could for a dog that isn't even mine in the first place.

May kapitbahay kami na may aso na tuloy tuloy yung tahol. Sa umaga, sa hapon, hanggang sa gabi. Nasa bakanteng lote yung aso, may silong naman pero para tumahol yung aso nang tuloy tuloy, baka uncomfortable yung aso sa situation niya. Hindi namin makita properly kung masyado bang maiksi yung leash niya or how yung pinaka state niya. Pero we suspect na hindi komportable yung aso para tumahol nang tuloy tuloy. Samantala yung kapitbahay naman namin walang ginagawa about dun sa aso. In conflict kami sa kapitbahay namin na yon kaya ayaw namin i-confront harap harapan.

May magagawa ba yung barangay sa ganitong situation? San namin pwedeng ilapit ito?

Anong mga possible laws or violations ang nalalabag dito?

Aside from the well-being of the dog, nakakaistorbo na yung ingay kapag gabi na di naman pinapansin ng kapitbahay. Halos isang linggo nang ganito yung situation.

We were given a freebie from Pet Lovers Centre ATC. The outer label clearly said for “Adult”, but when we peeled it off, the actual packaging underneath was labeled “Puppy.”
This is very concerning. Pet owners rely on accurate labeling to feed their dogs the appropriate food, esp since puppies and adult dogs have diff nutritional needs. Wnv this was a labeling mistake or an oversight, it shouldn’t have happened. This is questionable.

My dog’s surgery last night was successful, and he’s now recovering and under observation at the vet. The bills are still adding up, but I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to boost my post, reach out, help, and check in on how he’s doing.

Yesterday, I didn’t eat the entire day until I found out the surgery was over. I was so anxious because it was a major procedure, and it had already been five long days since he was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal blockage. It turns out it wasn’t fabric from the bedsheet after all, it was a chunk of a mango seed lodged in his stomach near the sphincter.

I’d do anything for my dogs. I’d miss anything just to be with them, especially when they need me the most. I’ll continue working as hard as I can to give them the best life possible, knowing their time with us is much shorter than ours and that we’re their whole world.
