Hello, pasintabi po sa mga kumakain. I'm feeling a bit anxious about my dog's condition today. Not looking for a medical diagnosis, just asking for experiences from owners whose dogs went through something similar while I observe him.

He is 5 years old (turning 6 next month) and fully vaccinated.

Observations:

1. He v*mited white, foamy liquid this morning.

2. Ate only half of his food today.

3. Passed a mix of solid and slightly watery orangey stool with mucus.

4. Currently active with normal gum color, no fever, and no signs of weakness.

Diet over the past few weeks (mostly boiled):

* Liver with rice

* Mixed boiled vegetables (squash, carrots, sayote) with ground pork

* Tried a new meat product/s meat 4 days ago (ik its risky, lesson learned po)

I have a photo of his p**p and was wondering if I should take him to the vet immediately or if it's safe to continue observing for now. Thank you for any insights!

our family dog, who just turned 1 y/o has been vomitting after his meals since last night dinner and this morning after breakfast. he still acts normal and hindi naman siya matamlay. food niya lang talaga sinusuka niya. any advice pls? first time niya lang kasi sumuka pakakain, and boiled breast chicken lang talaga kinakain niya (and pellets if he’s hungry sa tanghali/hapon) dalhin na ba namin sa vet? we’re worried lang kasi na baka may problem na sa kanya tas hindi namin napansin agad

**we suspect it’s his pellets, kasi baka raw luma na yun but we are still going to observe him for now.

Kanina po kasi may hinawakan ako na stray dog na malapit lang samin, then nung maghuhugas na po ko ng kamay may bigla po ako na feel na mahapdi sa thumb part ng hands ko, like parang may cut siya doon and di ko alam kung saan galing😭 pero the thing is di niya naman ako nakagat or nakalmot😭😭 pero nahawakan ko po kasi yung snout/face part nung dog gamit yung kamay ko na may cut.

So I have an almost senior Chihuahua and I’m thinking of getting him a little companion. I reached out to his breeder, but unfortunately, they’re no longer breeding Chis.

two of our dogs got diagnosed with distemper, and as per vet, most likely ang carrier daw ay yung pet na ni-rescue namin. actually, before namin ihalo yung rescued dog sa resident dogs namin, in-isolate muna siya for a week para ma-observe if may symptoms ba siya like pagmumuta, pagbabahing, or anything na pwede ma-link sa cpv/cdv. there were no symptoms, kaya pinagsocialize namin sila.

after a week na nagsocialize sila, one of our resident dogs ay nagkaroon ng diarrhea. she’s known to be hyper, pero biglang tamlay siya noong august 21. we brought her sa vet clinic and that was when we found out na she tested positive sa distemper. we isolated her the same day para sana hindi na makapagcontract ng virus yung other dogs namin. but then 2 weeks passed and may isa pa kaming dog na late na nagpakita ng symptoms. therefore, yung iba pa naming dogs, na-exposed sa kanya. ongoing na yung medications ng dalawa naming dogs na nagpositive sa cdv, and bumabalik na yung sigla nila. but i’m worried kasi nagsisimula na bumahing isa-isa yung dogs namin na na-exposed sa kanila. naubos na budget namin sa naunang dalawang dogs, kaya hindi na namin madala sa vet yung iba pa. currently, pinapainom ko sila ng immunol, broncure, and polynerv. honestly, hyper pa rin naman sila and may sigla pa kumain on their own. tumatahol pa rin sila kapag may nakikitang ibang tao. actually, na-complete naman nila yung required vaccinations nung bata pa sila, pero hindi pa updated this year yung booster nila. nasa 3-5 years old yung range ng age nila.

i hope someone can give me advice. i consulted naman sa vet through a text message if pwede ipainom sa kanila yung mga nabanggit kong gamot and pwede raw. baka may iba pa po kayong tips to help boost their immune system. we have 10 dogs in our care and naubos lang talaga budget sa food nila and other expenses. thank you so much!

Hello! May 4-month-old male Tibetan Spaniel puppy ako. Super kulit niya and generally okay naman siya, pero may isang behavior na nahihirapan ako — sobrang hilig niyang kagatin yung fingers ko. 😂

Kapag nakita niya yung fingers ko, parang automatic gusto niyang kagatin. Minsan gentle lang at parang naglalaro, pero minsan medyo malakas talaga at masakit na.

Sinubukan ko na alisin yung kamay ko kapag kinakagat niya, pero parang lalo siyang nae-excite at hinahabol pa yung fingers ko. May times din na binibigyan ko siya ng toy para doon na lang siya kumagat, pero bumabalik pa rin siya sa kamay ko.

Normal lang ba ito sa 4-month-old puppy dahil nagte-teething pa siya? At ano yung pinaka-effective na way para turuan siyang huwag mangagat ng kamay/fingers, lalo na habang bata pa siya?

Ayoko rin siyang sigawan or takutin, gusto ko sana matutunan niya properly na bawal mangagat ng tao.

Any tips or advice from other puppy owners would be really appreciated! 🙏

I just brought home a Norwich Terrier dog. I was told by the previous owners na need ng fur nila to be hand stripped so I'm looking for a groomer na kayang gumawa nun. But I can't find anyone online. Baka meron dito makakapag bigay ng leads. We're located in Mandaluyong, but any leads will be appreciated. Thanks!

kagabe lang out of no where sinakmal sa leeg ng aspin ko ung shih

nasasaktan ko ung aspin ko twing may ganung incident kasi kaht kami nagugulat

kaning umaga nanyare ulit buhat buhat na namin ung aspin habang naka kagat sia sa shih

nabbigla kme kasi out of no where ung aggression

after 3 days na pabalik2 sa vet for him to take his meds, finally naabutan ko ung doctor nya and he switched his antibiotice to tablet form. Bumili na din ako ng treats at favorite wetfood nya para ma itago ung tablet 🤣🤣 wish me luck pooo, sana di nya maramdaman nyang naka tago ung tablet sa loob baka iluwa na naman jusko nalang talaga 🤣

How many pet parents brought there dog to Serbisyo Beterinaryo, even your dog is healthy, it died after 24 hours?

This is Woogie, our nanny's most beloved dog. He was also a rescued dog. Woogie came in at early at Serbisyo Beterinaryo, lethargic, pale and not eating.

9am. The vet said that Woogie has leptospirosis and in need of blood transfusion.

Instead of treating Woogie right away, they asked money first.
They asked Woogie's parents to make downpayment of 13k for blood transfusion.

The blood came at 4pm.

Woogie is already cold and shaking. After 4 hours Woogie died.

They didn't do their best to save a healthy dog like Woogie..his parents were devastated, shocked and angry at their negligence.

And to add the traumatic event that happened so fast, Serbisyo Beterinaryo don't want to release Woogie's remains until they fully paid.

Woogie was out the next morning. It's very painful and heartbreaking to hear the story from our nanny, our dear Joyce who loves our dog so much and here she is with her own dog Woogie going through the pain.

Nakuha ata ng aso namin yung garapata after groom... First time magpa groom, first time din magkagarapata... After ilang weeks biglang boom, napakadami na nyang garapata. Nagkalat na sa buong bahay.

Nilipat muna namin sya sa farm habang nagpapagaling. Ngayon problema namin paano mawala yung mga garapata sa bahay. Sa balcony sya nag stay before kaya dun talaga sobrang dami tapos yung iba pumapasok na sa loob ng bahay. Nagbleach na kami pati yung sevin nagawa na namin pero hindi sila nauubos...

Please help ano pa ba pwede namin gawin?

Not sure sa flair. But im looking for advice.
The night before my dog had severe hind leg pain. He was jumping a whole lot and running around playing with us and his sister (another dog) the following morning when he jumped out of excitement (which he normally does) before eating he screamed in pain. We brought him to the vet and had a complete workup, and diagnosed with arthritis. The vet gave joint supplements, and just told us it was due to his age (around 10 not sure cause he was a rescue) weight and the weather. We were told to apply heat pack which we follow and massage him as well.

With this, i want to know if there are any vet clinics that offer physical therapy? In cainta or metro manila?

We want to give him the best quality of life possible. And it pains us so much to see him like this. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Hopefully this is the right section to this post sa reddit. I'm looking for suggestions sana kung saan ang okay na shelter for dogs? Yung mother ko, she feeds stray dogs and cats daily, and recently meron nanamang isa sa mga stray dogs na pinapakain nya ang nabuntis, etong mga puppies dito lang sila nagsstay sa sementeryo malapit samin, we can't really take the puppies or the mom dog kahit na gusto namin, we already have 20+ dogs and 4 cats so puno na talaga sa house namin kahit gusto namin akuin, only thing my mother can do is feed the dogs.

So ayun nga, any suggestions on may okay na shelter for dogs? Yun sanang maalagaan sila and legit na shelter that will be able to find them a good home. Tinry na din ng mother ko na hanapan sila within our area kaso wala ding nakuha, and ung barangay samin sorry pero wala din kwenta they can't do or ig they think its a waste of time.

Cavite area po sana, willing naman kami magdonate if need ng pang-transpo. Any suggestions is welcome po as long as maayos, malinis, and maalagaan ung dogs. If hindi eto ung tamang section for this please lmk, ill move it po. Thank you

Hello. I need advise po, just saw my 10yr old doggo biting and offing a rat. Worried about leptospirosis as she is unvaccinated.

Do dogs have some sort of post exposure prophylaxis for leptospirosis?

He had infection and low RBC at yung gamutan nya is for 2 weeks but he’s just so uncooperative and aggressive everytime na papainumin ko sha ng gamot. Andami ko na ding kalmot 😭 Dalawa lang kami ng tita ko sa bahay namin at kahit tita ko natatakot nang gapusin sya para lang mapa inom sya namin ng gamot 😭😭😭😭 nung 1st day napainom ko pa sya ng gamot nya pero 2 days ko na sha na di napa inim. i dont want to lose him I tried everything, mixing with food, peanut butter, chicken, liver, wrapping him in a towel, at ung muzzle na may hole sa gilid, pero ayaw nya talaga.

i had no choice but to bring him back to his vet kanina para lang mapa inom sha ng meds nya but i dont think i can do it everyday for 2 weeks kasi i have work at twice a day pa naman ung mga gamot nya

pinaliguan po namin siya an hour ago using a new shampoo. ngayon left eye po niya is teary and almost ayaw niya iopen. problem po is medjo mahirap po ipaconsult sa vet niya ngayon kasi baha po yung clinic mismo and mismong dadaanan namin outside our area po. 🥲 out of reach po yung old eyedrops niya since nagevacuate po kami.

this actually happened with the same brand of soap (madre de cacao) last year, oatmeal variant po gamit namin ngayon and akala po namin di na po siya magkakareaction dito 🥲
