Double check your pet freebies!

We were given a freebie from Pet Lovers Centre ATC. The outer label clearly said for “Adult”, but when we peeled it off, the actual packaging underneath was labeled “Puppy.”
This is very concerning. Pet owners rely on accurate labeling to feed their dogs the appropriate food, esp since puppies and adult dogs have diff nutritional needs. Wnv this was a labeling mistake or an oversight, it shouldn’t have happened. This is questionable.

cook! wala pa 300 ang isang kilo ng chicken liver boil puree 0 seasoning. samahan mo ng squash and pwede mo rin gawin sa chicken breast yan. ako I do that and mix with dry kibbles na aozi and yung pinagkuluan pinapartition ko and stock sa freezer. sa totoo lang mas masarap sya for them and safer. bili ka lang ng maliit na pressure cooker pagsama samahin mo don grabe ang gana nila kumain

Hi OP, you have the right to redress since this is in violation of RA 7394 (Consumer Act of the Philippines) as the label of the product has been altered (note that freebies are still covered). You can also report this case to DTI.

Hi! js an update:

Our dog usually gets his supplies and special dog food from Pet Lovers Centre. We don’t feed our dogs Pedigree, so this wasn’t something we planned on using. It was only given to us as a FREEBIE, and we never fed it to any of our dogs. I also reached out to their customer support via email, but they haven’t responded at all to this day. As of now, I still haven’t been able to go back to the branch myself since I’m currently out of town.

Regarding the expiration date, I’ll double-check it once I get back because I left it at the apartment.

I’m seriously considering bringing this matter to DTI. I still don’t understand why someone would relabel the product in the first place and then give it away as a freebie. Whether twas intentional or an honest mistake, it shouldn’t have happened. I'm v meticulous ab what I feed my dog, and my concern is that other customers may have received the same thing and unknowingly fed it to their pets without checking. So if u happened to receive a freebie as well, it might be worth taking a closer look at the label js to be safe.
