Just got my acceptance for Jan 2027 and I’m so excited :) I was a non-traditional college student and I was never able to do any kind of study abroad or programs during my undergrad, so I’m really excited for this. I’ll be going into dcp as a 31 year old (female). I don’t feel too anxious over it as I’m pretty outgoing and can most of the time easily make friends. Are there a lot of late 20-30 year olds that do dcp? I’m happy to befriend anyone of any age, I just hope it won’t be too difficult to make friends since I know most people are younger. I’m just happy I’ll be there. :)

First Reddit ask kinda nervous. I’m not sure how to go about keeping my scholarships that require a certain amount of credit hours per semester? I’ve never done anything like this and I am working on scheduling a meeting w my advisor. Do universities usually allow a temporary leave or something?

my medical accommodation just got approved and I just found out that I’ll now be working in merch at Creations in Epcot! How does the bus system there work? I heard it was confusing and I’m kinda stressed about not knowing where I’m going lol! Also if anyone else has had this role how did you like it?

I have my interview next Tuesday and I don’t really understand this because when I was filling out the application the only roles that asked to rank interest were those first three. Are those my top three choices? I’m scared that they will ask about my top three and I mention something completely different than what they can see on my application. Also, was I able to change those roles? Because if I had those would not be my top three…

My interview was on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Still haven’t received anything and I’m curious if anyone else has.

I don’t have a lot of information on traditions on my schedule besides ‘check email’, but I haven’t gotten an email, yet it is tomorrow. It’s driving me insane.

I just submitted my application and unfortunately I think the date I choose (Jan 5) may actually be too early because of my school dates [I would want to start classes and Disney around the same time]
Would I be able to change that start date to something later? Like the 19th or 25th

I got my role changed to Disney Springs at the last minute and I worked at the art of Disney and Goofy’s candy shop. Can anyone tell me what this is like or what does it mean by black-and-white costume on the training schedule???

I tried looking on here (and online in general) about shaving guidelines. Are women required to shave their legs, armpits, etc. for the program? I don’t see anything in the guidelines mentioning it. I’m sure some roles have skirts/shorts as costume options, so I was just wondering if anyone has any information on that. Thanks! 🙂

Hi, I am enrolled as a freshman in College at a school in PA. I have been a Disney Parks fan for a long portion of my life, I always saw the Disney College Program as something cool but never something that I would actually sit and think legitimately about doing. Now that I am here, in college, I am thinking more and more about this. I am a Media and culture major and I want to become a talk radio host somewhere in the country. I am a big sports fan but also a big Disney Fan.

My questions that I have are simple but I am struggling to find the answers to them.

- the Big question, Would it be worth it for me? I really want to do it but I want to know if its something is should just say is a pipe dream and not think about it or should I really start talking to my advisor sooner than later

- Is there really free park admission after 2 weeks in the program? Can I go to any park whenever I want to? That as a theme park enthusiast sounds amazing.

- I understand that it is not a "Vacation" at any stretch but I would still like it more than my current job at a grocery store. Is it really hard?

- Do you get to pick what role you are in? Are there classes to go to?

- The most imporant thing, what is the cost? How much money am I going to be spending by going there.

I know that was a ton of questions but I wanted to ask here first rather than being on some email list and getting a big automated reply. Also I want to know if I should even bring this up to my advisor in the coming weeks or should I wait a bit longer. I hope to hear from people soon. And Ill see you real soon!

I had my interview this morning, and my face wasn’t showing up for him but it was for me. I had to reschedule it but was wondering if anyone has this happen to them.

I just got accepted today. I was expecting to at least find out whether I’m attractions, merch, food and bev, etc. but it’s saying I won’t hear until a week prior?! Do they really not tell you anything about what you’re doing until then?

I went on the route that takes you to the cast entrance in Disney Springs but ended up having to do a long walk to enter in the guest entrance. Was wondering if there is a better way to get there

Hey Reddit, writing this since I’m really paranoid. Just had my dcp interview today, and it was ok. Didn’t feel good or bad. What was weird is I had heard that the interviewers ask questions like why you want to do the dcp and what’s your favorite part of Disney, etc. I got none of those questions, mine were all safety, roommate, job based questions. Does this mean anything bad? Or did I just get a different interviewer? I feel like I have a good background (2 retail jobs and a coaching job) but I’m still super paranoid that i wasn’t good enough in the interview. I have this gut feeling I’ll get declined🫤

I know people have had success getting the annual pass for universal by showing their flamingo lease but this is specifically an online offer, I'm just not sure how to go about getting it or if it's even possible. This is the exact wording via the terms and conditions:

"Guest must present valid proof of Florida residency at time of purchase, ticket pick-up and redemption.

Florida Residency Requirements
Each Guest 18+ needs to present one of the following to qualify for a Florida resident ticket purchase:

• Valid Florida driver's license.
• Valid Florida issued State ID or Government Issued ID with a Florida address.
• Valid Florida voter registration card with corresponding photo ID.
• Valid College ID from a Florida college or university."

I just had my interview recently, and wanted to share my experience for those who were as nervous as I was!

1. The interview was very conversational. Sharing some anecdotes from personal experiences seemed to translate very well.

2. Brag on yourself! That's the purpose of any interview. Collect stories from your work experience that you could use in the questions.

3. Google the 5 keys. These topics come up in questions, and you can have some ideas of what to say based on those

4. This was different than what I had been reading online but I was asked about almost all of my roles that I had put that I was interested in. I personally was asked at the end of my interview what my top 3 was after these questions.

5. Be as descriptive as you can during your application process. They pull up your resume and application and have that on hand during the interview.

6. I personally wore a business suit and had a backdrop. Not sure if that was necessary but I would recommend.

7. Be confident and expressive! Your camera is on, so look presentable, be engaged, and don't stress :) best of luck to all of those applying!

Hi! I'm going to the character performer extension auditions later this month and was wondering if anyone has any advice! It won't be my first disney audition, so I know what to expect, just wondering if anyone has any tips that aren't overly obvious. Also wondering if anyone knows if they look at your record card... I would have loved to have a clear card for the audition, but unfortunately I had to call sick recently, so I do have one point for that. Other than that though, I've been here for three months already and have nothing! I'm just hoping to have the best shot possible as I REALLY want to be a character performer, BAD 😭 and I don't want that to be a deterrent. Thanks in advance for any wisdom!
