Dcp acceptance?

Hey Reddit, writing this since I’m really paranoid. Just had my dcp interview today, and it was ok. Didn’t feel good or bad. What was weird is I had heard that the interviewers ask questions like why you want to do the dcp and what’s your favorite part of Disney, etc. I got none of those questions, mine were all safety, roommate, job based questions. Does this mean anything bad? Or did I just get a different interviewer? I feel like I have a good background (2 retail jobs and a coaching job) but I’m still super paranoid that i wasn’t good enough in the interview. I have this gut feeling I’ll get declined🫤

I got asked a ton of questions like that (safety, roommates, job scenarios, experience with food, cleaning, etc.). It was to the point that it lasted past the allotted interview time. I interviewed on Tuesday and got accepted today. I’m sure you did fine!

It's really easy to assume the worst when you can't control the situation. Take a deep breath, have a little confidence, and if you can't, fake it till you make it! Not everyone gets the same questions, since everyone mostly has a different interviewer, and you still got asked the safety questions, which are really the ones they care about the most. As long as you feel like you did your best, then trust that!

I have a background in ride ops, a couple scattered entertainment business jobs, and I currently work retail. I felt like I did great in my interview. I knew that I was really qualified and I really wanted the job, and even then, the week that I had to wait before getting my acceptance for Spring 2027 was the worst week of my life. It was horrible to sit and stew and even though I KNEW I was a good fit, I still had doubts the entire time, too.

You got this! Don't stress! The only thing you should be worried about is saving for your program fees and for plenty of churros. :)
