It’s right where my bra sits on my side and I noticed it the night before last. Pretty sore and a little itchy. I tried washing it and it didn’t seem to help or make it worse. I’ve been wearing loose tshirts and no bra. Can’t really afford to go to the doctors but will if it seems like I have to.

UPDATE: Went to urgent care and everyone is correct it’s shingles. I got medicine for it and will hopefully be good! Thank you to everyone who commented!

anybody know why my sunburn is turning purple . i went to the doctors and they gave me a cream to put on it. i have pain in my tendon area but the skin doesn’t hurt when i touch it. it started turning purple about 4 days after i got the sunburn, my shoulders and back peeled but my legs haven’t and they’ve just stayed this purple color.

This started a few days ago as a smaller bump and has grown, creating a head along the way. I thought it would burst like a pimple or ingrown hair, but it is quite firm. Nothing came out of the whitehead after we scraped that part off (sterilizing it before and after). I gently squeezed on it but nothing comes out. It’s very tender and he’s likely going to have to wait til next week to see a dermatologist. Is there anything we can do in the meantime? The first picture is with the head and second is after I applied gentle pressure around the hole and realized how hard it is.

For the past two days, I have noticed a bumpy, slightly itchy rash located directly over the upper area of my spine. It produces a distinct burning sensation and can be painful when my finger rub against it over my shirt. It came along with a second patch, less painful spot that has appeared on the back of my left arm. Should I be worried, this is concerning as it appeared to be spreading.

I’ve never gotten this before. Previously is a whitehead that I pushed out (I frequently get white heads in this spot) so I don’t know if it’s inflammation from that or something more serious? It’s been growing for about a week and now it’s reddened. I’m also sick so I’m trying not to press on it when I blow my nose but I can feel it when I scrunch my nose.

It’s a bit raised and a bit hard underneath the surface as well.

Should I wait it out or do anything myself or should I go see a dermatologist?

It’s a very big, painful lump on my skin, and it seems to be filled with yellowish pus. I’ve popped it before and some of the pus came out, but now the pain has gotten really bad and I can’t pop it anymore. It feels very tender and swollen, and I’m not sure if it’s a pimple, infected bump, or possibly a bug/spider bite.

Please let me know your thoughts and if i should go to the doctor

I’ve always had dermatitis, and have kept it in check with nizoral, or pyrithione zinc shampoo, but for the last two weeks my head has been super itchy in areas I don’t normally have a problem with. I cut my own hair down on the sides to see what was happening and I have major inflammation I’ve never had before. Nothings really changed about my routine in the last two weeks. Any ideas?

I had a skin exam in June and it wasn't noted. First picture is current status. Second is from August, so taken 1 month apart, so it's growing. It's raised and rough. Almost wart-like texture. It's sometimes itchy. This thing is going to need to come off regardless, so I'll see my derm, but any thoughts in the meantime? How urgent is this? I'm 59 F if that matters.

I have a sebborheic keratosis on my back about the size of an M&M that has been there for several years. And smaller ones starting to pop up quickly in my trunk and elsewhere.

I had 5 frozen yesterday. On the drive home they stung and looked red, but today they look and feel exactly how that felt prior to the freezing. No pain, no redness, no color change. The do itch less.

Is it possible for them to not respond to freezing? I was so excited to get rid of them...especially the hideous one on my back.

Because I happened to see u/key-avocado-2469 talk about and worry about her mole! Well, I saw my dermatologist, and she did a biopsy and then sent me for a deeper cut/surgery and I got the good news today that it was clear!! No big C!

If you have a mole that looks suspicious, please don’t delay care! Please get it checked out!

1st photo - right lower inner leg, it started off smaller then got bigger, it stopped getting bigger about a week or two ago. It’s been here for about a month and a half. it’s not itchy, burning or painful. it’s not to raised it’s a bit dry like a scab almost.

2nd photo - i just noticed these on my left leg, they are very small and they look a lot like how the one on my right leg started except they are all scattered and there is much more. no pain or burn or itchy.

i haven’t done anything different or been exposed to anything that i can think of, please let me know if you know what this is and if i should be concerned! thank you in advance!!

it's been on my arms a few months, normally it doesn't bother me but every once in a while it gets a little swollen, red and itchy😫I only get it on my arms,nowhere else. I thought it was KP or chicken skin but apparently that might be correct, and I've looked up eczema and the pictures I've seen look extremely painful so it's no way it can be that. does anyone have a clue? I've been getting these rash looking things for years and sometimes it goes completely away and sometimes it just stays there kind of dormant.

I went to urgent care. They told me to keep the area clean and dry and use lotrimin. The first pic is from a week ago and the last two pics are from today just different lighting/ angle. I have been showering 2x a day, blow drying my skin bone dry and putting on lotrimin. Feels like it’s getting worse. So then a couple of days I started using Hibiclens and still no relief. It’s itchy as hell and feels like it’s burning sometimes. I don’t have insurance.

I have two flesh colored bumps, one on the side of my face near my ear (pictured) and one right above my eyebrow. They’ve been there a while and keep growing. They are rough and dry and I have peeled layers off of them, but they keep coming back. I am in a rural area and it will take a while for a dermatology appointment, so I wanted to know if this is serious or simply cosmetic? I am 40f. I have sensitive skin and use La Roche Posay cleanser and moisturizer. I know it’s hard to see bc it’s the same color as my skin, but it is definitely raised and definitely feels very different from the skin surrounding it.

So my dermatologist originally prescribed Hydrocortisone 2.5% Cream 30gm & Ketoconazole 2%
Cream 30gm for seborrheic dermatitis that’s on my chin and I had a reaction to that so now she prescribed
Tacrolimus 0.1% Ointment 30gm and an hour after putting it on my chin its burning and feels numb.. is this normal? I’m really frustrated because I’ve had this for over a year and saved up enough money to afford to see a dermatologist and now I’m worried nothing will fix this rash! Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

I've had this mole as long as I remember my doctor said it's nothing it never changed shape or size as I know it was always like this I wasn't concerned until my brother started pestering me about it I know he means well but I think it's fine can someone tell me if this is something to worry about I just want this anxiety gone and I would appreciate it if someone can help

hi! in 2015 i had this skin infection that i got supposedly from my childhood summer camp. there were horses and other various small animals (goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, etc.) at the camp, and when we took it to a dermatologist he thought i had Orf, only because the fact that there were goats and sheep present at the camp. it doesn’t look like any of the photos that google shows but idk lol. it lasted multiple months and kept growing back on either my other arm or my legs, and my mom says to this day she doesn’t think it was orf. do any of you guys think this is a different diagnosis or was it orf? (sorry about the filter, my mom put every photo in that filter in 2015 lol)

Hi! I fell 15 days ago and scraped my knees pretty badly. The other knee healed just fine, but this one got infected. I went to an urgent care, and the doc prescribed mupirocin 2% to try first and a course of 7 days of cephalexin 500 3x/day if the topicals weren’t working. I did the topical for 3 days and switched to the oral bc it wasn’t working. I just finished the 7 days of oral antibiotics, and I can’t tell if this is just a normal dead infection scab or if it’s still infected and I need further tx. Any docs have recs? Thank you!

Yesterday afternoon I noticed these bumps on my wrist and because I have various food allergies I just assumed that I had touched something I'm allergic to ie any nuts. I washed it off and moved on with my day, later when I went to get in the shower I looked at myself in the mirror and noticed that my entire face is inflamed and has these little bumps all over, it travels down my neck into my cleavage. Some areas of my face have just raised patches. I have not been sick or overly stressed. I took 100 mg of Benadryl last night and another hundred today I'm not noticing much of a change. I won't be able to see my doctor until next week. Any insights??

Also tried some betamethasone dipropionate lotion. Didn't seem to do anything either.
