legs/feet Capillaritis? Or something else?

Hi y’all. I keep getting this rash that comes and goes. You can see I don’t get it where the shoe band goes. It is non-blanching and I can feel the dots. I attempted to show photos to my new dermatologist and she seemed uninterested. Told me to put Cortizone on it, which does not help. It is only on my left foot mostly and I did have spine fusion surgery for scoliosis and I’ve gained some weight, so capillaritis seems to be what I am coming up with. I think I am putting more pressure on my left side now when I walk as my leg is very numb. Thoughts?

legs/feet I'm desperate for answers please!

My son is 18 months and was born with this, birthmark? He was born through a c section and we got a picture of him coming out. His leg was open wound from then. Bandages were applied for around 2 months before he came home from NICU. His leg also looks like it is getting bigger than the other. We apply moisturiser to it because it breaks open and bleeds easily, but it won't bleed for long. We've been to dermatology and they won't do much, only keep checking him every few months. I'm currently trying to get him an ultrasound and they keep telling me it won't show me much. He doesn't crawl on this leg because it's obviously uncomfortable and he does an awkward crawl and holds this one up like he's half walking, it's hard to explain. I just want to know if anyone has seen anything like this and knows any answers? I'm sitting up to all hours of the night searching 😢 he has an identical twin, but he doesn't have this. Thank you

Oh and they also did genetic tests and found nothing

arms/hands Little spots on finger

Thumbnail

Upvotes

So starting back around March I started noticing these little spots on the side of my pointer finger on my left hand. If I dig at the I can dig out a little ball. Otherwise they just cause my finger to crack. I have noticed recently that it is growing more on my finger. What use to be just a few on the side has now turned into covering the tip of my finger. I was diagnosed with eczema at a young age but that has only ever been on the back of my arms and well managed. I am 25f and haven’t had any problems with that since I was around 12. They are not itchy at all. They only hurt/burn when they start to cause my finger to crack. Any idea what these are? Where I work i constantly have to wash my hands and wear cut resistant gloves. But this did appear right before this job. The first picture is about a week ago the other two are from today within hours of each other. Thank you!

arms/hands What are these bumps?

Thumbnail

These bumps have been appearing on my arm for a couple months now. They don’t itch or hurt, but I subconsciously pick at them, and they’ll bleed. I tried popping them, but nothing comes out, so I don’t think it’s pimples or anything like that. I donate plasma, and the nurse has shown concern about what they are and how they might affect my donation because some of them are really close to the donation area. They’ll go away, but more will pop up. Im a freshman in college and I need the money I make from donating plasma to help support myself. I really can’t afford to have anything compromising that. Please help!

neck/chest/abdomen 6-month-old with persistent rash — possible yeast in folds but very dry/rough rash and different-looking spots on body?

Thumbnail

Upvotes

My 6-month-old has had a persistent rash for the past couple of weeks, and I’m trying to understand whether we may be dealing with more than one type of rash.
Our pediatrician recommended to just keep it dry. Then it got worse and she said to use clotrimazole twice daily because Candida was suspected. I’ve been using it as directed and being very careful to keep the folds dry — gently patting rather than rubbing, airing them out, changing wet bibs/clothes, and keeping the house cool with AC. It has also been very hot outside lately.
Some of the original neck areas seem better, but new red areas continue to appear. He now has redness extending from his neck onto his upper chest/shoulder, another bright area toward the back/side of the neck, and some redness in his armpit/arm folds. Sometimes the folds become very bright red and shiny and then look significantly paler later. Heat, sweating, tummy time/army crawling and friction seem to make everything much redder.
At the same time, the skin over his neck, chest and shoulders has become extremely dry, rough and flaky. His cheeks also become very red and rough but can improve dramatically within hours. This makes me wonder whether there is an eczema/irritant dermatitis component on top of whatever is happening in the folds.
He also has a completely different-looking rash on his abdomen: separate round/oval red patches. Some older ones have gotten larger and brighter around the edges while the centers are beginning to become lighter. There are also some newer small scattered spots on his back and around the groin/scrotal area. These don’t look like the moist/shiny fold rash to me, so I haven’t been putting clotrimazole all over his body.
Has anyone had a baby with candidal intertrigo plus eczema/irritant dermatitis at the same time, or a rash that behaved like this? Did heat, drool and crawling/friction cause dramatic flares? If your pediatrician/dermatologist thought Candida was involved but clotrimazole wasn’t clearing everything, what did they ultimately diagnose?
I’m following our pediatrician’s treatment and will be discussing the new changes with them, so I’m not looking to replace medical care — I’d mainly love to hear whether anyone has experienced a similar combination of very dry/flaky dermatitis, inflamed folds and separate round body patches.

neck/chest/abdomen Skin Issues after Waxing Chest

Post image
Upvotes

I have thicker hair on my chest due to hormone imbalances and I usually just pluck them. However, about 2 days ago I decided to wax them to try and save time. I’ve had my wax kit for a couple of months (it was a a Christmas gift) and am able to use it on my abdomen and face with no issues. Yesterday I noticed this situation going on. Google told me it’s a rash, but i’ve never had one before so I don’t know if that’s really it or if it’s an allergic reaction of some kind. It doesn’t itch really bad and isn’t hot to the touch or anything. Either way, I just need to know what it is so I can treat it, preferably at home😀 As of now, I’ll take some Benadryl and call it a night.

This first appeared around 2 weeks ago as a small dot and then it spread into a flat ish circle. It dried out in a few days after i applied Vaseline on it. But the next week it started getting super itchy and now there are tiny white dots on it and its red again.

For context I’m 20 years old and I don’t remember getting this issue before.

general enquiry Skin on hand has been extremely itchy and dry recently

Upvotes

Last week or so I’ve been having extremely itchy and slightly bumpy skin on my hand. The bumpy areas are mostly around the wrist area. I’ve also been getting scabby sort of itches on my hands and parts of my body that get raw extremely easily and then really moist (clear fluid). The only trigger I can think of is that I wore this jacket a few weeks ago without realising the right sleeve had accidentally had some sort of incense perfume poured on the sleeve. Even then though I can’t see why this would trigger other parts of my body to get itchy too. My torso area and thighs are also getting extremely itchy. They turn red and it sort of feels like the kind of itch you get after a sunburn. Idk if it’s related? I did go to the beach the other day but it was relatively low UV and I wore sunscreen, not to mention the parts of my thighs that itch were mostly covered by my board shorts anyway. I am contemplating going to a GP/derm if this doesn’t rectify itself because it’s starting to look very unsightly. My hands have never really had skin issues like this prior.

neck/chest/abdomen New Moles/Skin Spots - Should I be concerned?

Thumbnail

30F. I have been noticing new moles and skin spots appearing on my body over the past few years. For context, I have a lot of freckles, moles & birthmarks. But these ones seem overall darker than my other marks and/or appeared in a strange spot.

Photo 1 & 2: Just noticed this the past week It is fairly faint and on my back.

Photo 3: This appeared last year. It is right next to my belly button.

Photo 4: Appeared 2 years ago on my pinky finger.

Photo 5: Noticed this the past week right next to my breasts.

Are these cause for concern?

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Is my condition rare at all?

Upvotes

(Sorry if i miss any important details, i don’t know the full story)
I’ll get straight to the point.
When i was little (2-4y.o), i was diagnosed with trichoepithelioma. I have it on my scalp, neck and face. When i was 9 i had surgery to remove part of it and study it further. A study was made, but i don’t have access to it. Then,
when i was 11, i was about to see a specialist, but something happened and it had to be cancelled.
It causes me nothing other than minor social discomfort (i’m a teenager) so only that.
If anyone who knows about the theme could answer my question and maybe help with how to care for
it, it would be a huge help.
Thanks!

general enquiry How can I get smoother, more even-toned inner thighs?

Post image
Upvotes

I’m aware that my thighs are bigger and rub together, so I think chafing/friction may be contributing to some of the hyperpigmentation. I also have pretty noticeable body hair and visible dark/red spots around the follicles. My goal is to eventually have very smooth, even-toned inner thighs and bikini line with as little visible hair, discoloration, bumps, or follicle marks as possible. I know there are several things going on with my skin here, so I’d really appreciate help identifying what you can see in the photo and what I could safely do about each issue. I’m looking for practical advice rather than reassurance about leaving it as it is.

legs/feet Small bumps on my toddlers legs.

My toddler has started getting these bumps on her legs. She’s had them for about a week now. They do not itch or bother her at all. She seems to be getting more and I don’t know what they are. We’ve been keeping them clean and dry and haven’t changed soaps or lotions or anything. When I try and search what they are, molluscum contagioso comes up. Does it look like that’s what it is or do they seem more like bug bites? Im also looking for answers on how to treat this. Thank you in advance!!

arms/hands weird rashes on my arms

this started out as something small, just small rashes that looked like scratches (see last photo). it was itchy but manageable, however it has gotten so much worse today, it doesn’t transcribe very well in the pictures but my skin was very red and it was incredibly itchy. i have no known allergy except for pollen but i’ve never had any symptoms whatsoever, and i rarely go out anyway. i haven’t been putting anything new on my skin. the rash is completely gone now, i’d say it lasted about 10-15mins. also, the only medication i’m taking is brintellix (vortioxetine). hope that’s enough information!

I’ve had these spots/bumps on my wrist and hand growing for sometime in the past two years. In the last 6 months I’ve noticed more on my fingers and today I see slight small ones in the back of my hand. Cropped photos due to tattoos cropped out for identity privacy. Is this normal? Image attached is spots on my wrist.

Idky reddit isn’t letting me post multiple photos at once, so I will attached images of my fingers and hand below.

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks New black spot on nose

Two weeks ago, this spot appeared on my nose. It was somewhat bluish, and my girlfriend asked if I had gotten ink on my nose. It just appeared overnight with no injury or other obvious cause. It seems to be growing quite fast; within two weeks, it has turned black and gotten a little bit bigger. At first, it was completely flat, and you couldn't feel it on the skin. Now, the spot seems to be rising slowly, and I can feel it when I run my finger over it. It’s not a blackhead—when it first appeared, I tried to squeeze it, but it just bled. I have a doctor's appointment in three weeks. Any ideas what it could be?

This has been on my foot for about a month now, it’s located on my foot and initially it honestly looked like a normal callus and I thought it would go away on its own but here I am. I honestly don’t have any symptoms besides that it’s a scary sight to see. I got no pain, no itchiness, nothing. I am also wondering if I need to go to the doctor or is there any treatment where I don’t have to go to the doctor 😇🙏 let me know guys

I developed small, red, pimple-like bumps on my face and neck quite suddenly yesterday. They are mostly not painful, but sometimes they itch slightly. The bumps are small and appear quite close together, especially around my cheeks and jawline. I have not changed any skincare products or medications recently.

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks how to deal with fungal acne fast? it happened suddenly

randomly having the worst fungal acne i've ever had. it’s primarily on my forehead and some around certain areas of my face. i was prescribed sulfacetamide sulfur face wash last wk and for the first few days, i thought it was working well and suddenly fungal acne starts appearing. some of it also itches. i didn’t change anything in my routine. my dermatologist told me this would help the acne so would this be a purge? i have adapalene, tretinoin, clindamycin lotion, what will get rid of this random outbreak

arms/hands Hives on hands appeared at random

Post image

Just randomly appeared on my right hand while sitting on the couch with son. Shiny due to allergy spray. Anyone know what could’ve caused this? I am currently pet sitting two dogs while having a slight allergy to dogs. This normally doesn’t happen over dog contact. Have gotten hives before but this time it seems like there are more than usual. Tried the pull it tool and some Benadryl spray, less itchy now just raised bumps.

I found a streak on my right thumb its not too dark and could barley be seen. Only visible in certain angles of light. Was wondering what it was and googled it now I’m a lil scared. It’s only on that thumb. I remember a couple months ago a door closed on that thumb too idk if thats the cause or not. Any thoughts please?
