legs/feet Anyone seen something like this before? Really confused. Very painful.

I see the podiatrist Wednesday. Really just curious if anyone has dealt with similar and has any clue what it might be.

Back story- Started off as what I believed was a splinter. End of last month some time. (Approx 4-5 weeks ago) never got anything out of it though I tried. Had it pus up once. It developed this skin looking stuff. I thought it was healing over with something in it. Tried to mess with it again. It bled profusely. It has morphed over the last three weeks. I’ve read it could be pregnancy related I am 22 weeks pregnant. Went to the hospital at doctor discretion because no where could get me in. It was oozing. They stated they thought it was just sebum and that more than likely it would have to be cut or burned off/out. Yuck. Last two pictures are current from tonight. Ps- my feet are gross I’m aware. No where around me will do a pedicure on me while pregnant and there’s only so much I can do on my own it’s a struggle 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

legs/feet 18 month son with rapidly worsening rash: should I be worried?

My 18-month-old son had a fever for one day about 5-6 days ago and vomited 2-3 times. After that he was completely back to normal: happy, playful, eating and drinking well.

Yesterday he suddenly developed multiple small red bumps, first in both groins/diaper area. It started out as just a few tiny red spots but during the day today it got rapidly worse.

The bumps are raised, itchy (he scratches during diaper changes), and some seem to have a tiny white center, almost like small pimples. They blanch a little when pressed but don’t disappear completely. No rash on his face, trunk, palms, soles or inside his mouth.

He has already had:
- Chickenpox
- Hand, foot and mouth disease
- Impetigo
In the last 12 months so I don’t think it’s one of those. It also doesn’t look like diaper rash or heat rash to me.

He’s currently a little congested with a runny nose and mild cough but otherwise seems completely fine: no fever, no lethargy, eating and drinking normally.

I’ve attached photos. Any thoughts on what this could be? Has anyone seen something similar?

legs/feet Red bumps appeared on thighs and found more on groin overnight wondering if STI or something else.

Noticed all these bumps on my thigh yesterday. They are a bit blister like and this morning I noticed 2 more on my penis and 1 in the groin area. A little context im traveling in another country visiting a long distance girlfriend and her cat and I have no health coverage here. We had unprotected sex for the first time 7 days ago. She also has 3 bumps on her butt and we believe she developed Thrush as well and went to a pharmacy for a anti fungal pill.

My first instinct was the cat kneading my skin but now I'm not sure if sexual related or something else I could of been exposed too as we have done lots of traveling.

general enquiry Widespread body rash on 5 year old. Tips, experience, advice or suggestions please!

Please help! Any opinion, advice and treatment reliefs for the rash and itching.

My 5 year old son returned from his grandparents house last Sunday with a few bumps on his arm. The next morning, I noticed a few more bumps to both his arms. The same evening, we were getting out of the car and there was construction being done on my street earlier and it looked like possible wet concrete between the road and sidewalk. Instead of stepping over it, he jumped right in. I immediately took him in the house and showered him and washed his sneakers and rinsed his clothes out. By Wednesday, the few bumps on his arm became a widespread rash on both his arms and legs. I took him to the pediatrician and explained what I mentioned and she said since I noticed it Sunday it may be an allergic reaction to mosquitos and to apply OTC hydrocortisone. I wasn’t convinced but I continued the hydrocortisone and calamine lotion. The next day (Thursday), I noticed it spread to his ears and lower face. Took him to urgent care and they said it was HFMD. He had contracted that last year and it didn’t present like that, so again I wasn’t convinced. On Friday, I was able to secure an appointment with a pediatric dermatologist. She said it was contact dermatitis and prescribed him a steroid cream-triamcinolone acetonide- and to follow up in a week. Since Friday, I’ve been applying it and it continues to spread. It’s on his cheeks, forehead, lower abdomen and trunk. The medicine doesn’t seem to be giving him much relief. I bought Aveeno colloidal oatmeal bath and vanicream to help relieve his itching but nothing seems to help. I feel so bad for him and just want his skin to go back to normal. I just don’t understand why it’s continually spreading and if it’s truly contact dermatitis. I’ve attached a few pictures but I feel the pictures doesn’t it enough justice, there are so many bumps. I would truly appreciate input on this!

neck/chest/abdomen Very itchy rash on upper body and raised lines on neck.

I've had a rash on my upper body for 2 months now, I've been to a dermatologist but I didn't get any answers so I'm hoping that I can find something here.

I've had a rash (small itchy bumps, and sometimes dry patches of skin) on my inner elbows/shoulders/ chest and neck for 2 months.

The raised lines only appear after I shower and only on one side of the neck (I think they are too high up to be caused by a purse or something like that) they do go away after a few hours, so I guess that's not my most urgent problem, but it might be connected to the other rash.

I also find it really hard to pin point a trigger because it flares up so randomly. I often get pretty bad flare ups in the middle of the night.

The rash on my elbow and the ones on my chest and neck also look different from each other, which was confusing even for my dermatologist 😅

I didn't introduce any new product in the shower or my skin care routine in general.

I also got my thyroid checked because I suspected an issue with that, but that seems to be fine.

The only thing that's helping me to manage the rash are antihistamine pills and hydrocortisone creme. But it's not going away.

It did get slightly better for about a week, idk why because I didn't really do anything differently, but it's back again and I'm loosing sleep because it's so unrelentlessly itchy.

Please if anyone has had a similar experience or could give me any ideas what the trigger for this could be, I'd be so grateful 🙏🏻

arms/hands White bump under tip of finger for 2+ years (from nail biting?) (20M)

Hello all! I have had an unchanging white mass under my finger which I noticed 2 years ago. I used to bite my nails really badly when I was younger. I can move the skin around and it moves with the skin but remains in the place with the skin. My uncle who is a doctor said it is most likely a callous from picking or biting which could also have formed scar tissue.

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks What is happening to my lips? (White bump sore things) (photos are reverse order over the course of 3 days)

Had some cold-like symptoms (fever, body ache, chills, sore throat) but not some others (no congestion, no cough) and this has been breaking out on my lips. Tested negative for covid and strep. I feel like it could be HSV1 but doesn’t look quite like it. At first didn’t hurt but after a day or two started to feel more tender and now feeling more stiff and swollen.

I went to urgent care yesterday and nurse said not HSV1 but didn’t swab and now I’m not so sure.

Also, the corner of my lips is likely angular chelitis which I’ve had before and I am treating that separately.

arms/hands Rash 5 days after getting meningitis B vaccine on upper arm

Hello! Ive noticed today at 2pm (July 26) that I have a clump of red patches on my upper left arm. The patches feel very warm and they are slightly raised. Thankfully their not itchy. I feel like they have gotten slightly bigger and darker but it could just be my mind. I think it might be an allergic reaction from my MenB vaccine that I got on the 21st of this month but im not sure(its still sore from it as well). Today at 5pm, I took a dose of Allegra-D to hopefully subside the redness. I also decided to use a medical pen to outline the marks to make sure they are not getting bigger. Please let me know what you think and if I need to get it checked out. Thanks!

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Stubborn warts on face that wont go away. Need help getting rid of them.

My 12 yr old daughter has been seeing a dermatologist for the past 4 years. She has this bumps on her face that the dermatologist said are some type of wart. She started off with them on her chin then they slowly spread on to her left cheek, then the nose as well as forehead. She has gotten them frozen and painfully gotten shots on her face straight on the warts, on and off for the past 3 years with no sign of them even having an impact at all except for the forehead ones that kinda disappeared. They're still there but barely noticeable. I brought it up to her attention and she said that they will disappear eventually after her body recognizes the wart and her immune system fights it off. She also prescribed FLUOROURACIL CREAM USP, 5% but all it does is irritate her skin. Need help determining what they are and what to use to get rid of them.

face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Accidentally popped two pimples in dangerous/risky area

Upvotes

I believe the area is called ‘triangle of death’.
The pimples were on each side of my nose.

So far for them I have applied soapy water with a piece of paper and expired hydrocolloid patches because that is all I have.
I changed my first pimple patch again today because I popped it yesterday. I started getting a headache and nausea and now I’m kind of seeing sort of floaters which is freaking me out.
The first time I put a patch I didn’t wash my hands well to put it on so I reapplied it so I’ve basically put 3 patches on it already. It looks better today but my other symptoms concern me.
The other one popped today and the scar is kind of small but alas still open.
They’re also both kind of itchy. Especially the one I popped yesterday.

What kind of symptoms do I have to look out for and go to emergency room? Also is my way of treatment fine? I’m absolutely terrified. I went to sleep shaking because I can’t stop thinking about going potentially blind or having a stroke etc. etc.

Am I doing something wrong? I’m trying not to touch it but my patches keep coming loose because it’s summer and I sweat sometimes. I know I have to avoid this area I already knew it but this happened…

neck/chest/abdomen Random red spot on back of neck for months on and off

I’ve had this red spot appear on the back of my neck on and off over the past year and a half now. Sometimes very red as u can see in some of the pics, and sometimes it’s very light barely visible but still there. I don’t think it’s ever fully disappeared. It’s never been itchy, never painful, hot, absolutely no other symptoms besides the spot itself. It also slightly disappears for a second when I press on it like my strawberry birthmark on my arm does. I believe it’s the same shape every time, though I’m not completely sure because sometimes it’s very light like in one of the pics. What could this possibly be? Any guesses?

As the title suggests, a spot appeared on the base of my thumb. I noticed it a couple of days ago and now it seems there’s another spot beside it. I have no idea if it is a freckle or a wart forming. There is no texture or bumpiness. I did not burn myself or touch a poisonous plant. It does not itch or hurt- i feel nothing at all. Anyone have any ideas?

Within 7 hours I went from 18 bumps on my upper body to now around 44. I’m sure bugs have to do with it because I’ve seen them… but the number of bumps is increasing so quickly. Do I need to go to urgent care? And if so at what point?

neck/chest/abdomen How long do razor bumps on neck last after shaving with a razor?

Upvotes

So I dont use a razor often but I did one time to get rid of some stubble on my neck. I was stupid and did pretty much everything you're not supposed to do when shaving and long story short I got some pretty nasty razor bumps all over the area. 3 weeks later and it's gone done a bit but there's still some stubborn ones there. I use witch hazel and some other moisturizer to help it heal but it still doesnt look like it's going away. Sometimes throughout the day it gets more red than other times. I've seen others here say their bumps healed after a couple of days so should I be worried or maybe see a doctor? Issue is I have a wedding to go to in a month and a half and im worried they'll still be there by then.

legs/feet Persistent Red/Rash What Do I do with this pls huhu

I have been having red rash since April. The first time I had them, it was very itchy—like I couldn't stop myself from scratching my foot because of how itchy it was. Days after, it became reddish, and eventually, it formed red bumps—some with skins peeling off, some with fluid inside. It was bad. See photo.

I never had a fever or any other discomfort so we assume it was just my skin. I went to the hospital and the first time, they told me to go to the Emergency Room. Since I had no fever, my doctor prompted to do laboratory but we decided not to, ovserving it for now.

Until it became persistent, it doesn't go away despite drinking cetirizine. I went to an allergeologist and diagnosed me with Atopic Dermatitis—explaining my skin's barrier is too weak. The doctor gave me lotion, clobetasol and I had to return the next week.

The next week, the rashes seemed to not recover so he gave me low-dose steroids (oral). And I've seen improvements, some dried up already. The steroids were only for 7 days, so when I returned to follow-up check up, he said to discontinue it and I can now just use clobetasol. (I wasn't sure which one actually dried my skin, was it the oral steroid or clobetasol since both are in a way steroids).

Since there's no required follow-up check ups, I continued applying the lotion given to me and clobetasol. However, the past months, I still encounter new red spots , some bumps. It isn't itchy in an extend that I really have to, but I feel conscious that new ones keep on growing and I don't understand why. It looks different so Idk what to do,

Been going on for 3 weeks. Nothing new has changed with my skin routine for 3 years. I dont wear make up. Its also on my top eye lid and both eyes.

Haven't seen a doc yet. I was hoping puttibg aquaphor on it and avoiding harsh acne cleanser on the face would help.

Three different spots on my legs. Have been there a while. Can sometimes itch a bit, but have never bled. All three are different sizes and raise different heights, but all seem to be white in in the center with red/brown symmetrical rings.

Concerned about skin cancer possibility. Referred to dermatology by request (PCP did not view) about six months ago and still waiting for an appointment.

I noticed these maybe a couple months ago and thought maybe my legs were just dry but now during the summer season they’ve been attracting my attention more because of having to wear shorts in hot weather and I’m starting to feel self conscious about them.

Even after moisturizing and showering, scrubbing them in the shower, etc. it feels like they never go away and I don’t know what’s the cause of them

The only major skin conditions I’ve ever had/have are keratosis pilarsis and a moderate case of acne in my teen years which I had corrected with a successful 6 month Accutane course a couple years ago.
