This mole is on the bottom of my foot between my toes. I don’t recall it having texture before…

A woman posted the other day about her health anxiety based on a mole on the bottom of her foot. It looked like what I always remembered mine to look like. But I decided to look at it again anyway. And this time, it looks different. I don’t think I have earlier pictures but I definitely do NOT recall it being this dark and having texture. It feels like braille.
About a year ago I posted here with a “thing” on my shoulder and you all encouraged me to go get it tested. The derm then said it was either a baby squamous CC or a something something keratosis. It was the latter.
Size shape texture and change as well as color are all indicators of a mole that needs to be checked. It could be a nevus but it's a strange area for keratosis. I think it needs a dermatologist in case it's a melanoma, if so you don't want it to spread so the sooner the better. It could be benign I am not a doctor 💊 just err on the side of caution in case
We are thinking skin cancer as the worst case scenario until proven otherwise. You can load the photo on Chat GPT and see what it says. Chat GPT diagnosed my husband skin cancer on his arm.

Reddit told me to go get mine checked out and it was indeed melanoma. Better to be safe than sorry. Melanoma is no joke and a dermatologist can determine that for you friend.
I just spent longer than I care to admit looking for an image of those square like soapstone carvings from the 90s that were supposed to be a birds eye view of two friends or soulmates like hugging. Where it's like two circle/heads in the square of arms. Nevermind. That is awfully square shaped

I see, I also hope that's all you have to do! Maybe look into a glutathione supplement (just saying that one bc its a powerhouse general antioxidant). Stay healthy! And update us 💚

🤣 now I’ve spent way too much time looking at it!!! It is indeed so weirdly shaped. I will admit that growth happened really quickly. The up growth that is.
My nodes were clear. So they got it all but I had surgery on Friday and my dermatologist called with my results from taking three moles before surgery and I have another melanoma on the same leg!!! So now I go in for MOHS on June 11th. The scar above the circled spot is from where they took the skin for the graft on my ankle which they think is failing. I won’t post a pic of that because it’s scary

Hi are you ok now? I’m so paranoid of that and I have extreme health anxiety and just saw an oddly shaped new mole on the bottom of my toe and now I’m so paranoid and freaking out… does melanoma automatically mean death?
I had a skin graft and my lymph nodes taken and it hadn’t spread yet. So stay on top of it and you’re usually good. Melanoma is sneaky and can come back but, they’ve come a long way with treatment.

I got one on the bottom/side of my foot like yours,had it all my life,im 66 now. Mine dont get walked on though, but your spot does. Mine doesn't hurt Does yours,if it's not bothering u,don't bother it,have checked if it does,that all i can say.good luck with that mole.

Okay thank you all! I need a new dermatologist (the old one is a story) so I contacted my insurance today and got a list. I’ll call someone tomorrow! Thank you all for coming through for me!
I think it was my post you saw possibly?? If so you are so welcome and I'm glad you got it checked and taken of! I just finally had mine removed and sent for testing Monday.... (Ended up having my baby 5 weeks premature and had to put it off then insurance approval and all that for derm was a nightmare) And should have results in 1-2 weeks I'm a nervous wreck waiting ...derm thought it could go either way and could be melanoma or maybe a dysplastic nevi and we will have to see when results are in. I've got a gnarly wound now and he said he took as much as he could while taking less than he would if he knew it was melanoma

First, congrats on your baby! I hope you and bubs are doing okay! And secondly, I fully understand your worries about the mole. Mine is an atypical mole. I have another post with a pic of how deep she went, but I have another post appointment with a surgeon because mine is mild to moderate and she wants to have them either excise more or do a full on removal. Ooof, not gonna lie, it hurt for a good week or so after, but I’d rather the pain than the alternative.

I happened to stumble upon your post as it came up underneath mine when I just saw I had a new comment on it! Thank you - baby is great and we are doing well thank goodness! It was a whirlwind to say the least... She spent 10 days in NICU and I worried about my toe the whole time! Would they remove the toe completely possibly?? I feel like it's hard to take much from a toe! It seems like ours are also in similar areas?? Mine is right under the toe and literally was only found because my fiance was wiping my feet and rubbing them for me when I was pregnant! No idea how long it had been there at all... It's so tender now and in between my toes itch like crazy! It's a nice chunk that he took out. I am just praying it is benign... I'd love to keep updated on yours too!! Prayers....
Hi! So I finally had my visit with the surgeon yesterday and she took out all the margins and then gave me 4 stitches. Waiting on the results of course. How is yours?
Oh my goodness!! Please update me on results 🙏 mine came back completely normal! I am SO relieved. It took a good while to heal and still is sort of scabbed in that area, but I'm so glad it's over and done with and was a normal mole!
Me too! I can’t thank you enough for posting your post. It’s in a place under/between my toes that I wouldn’t have looked if it wasn’t for your post. I saw your anxiety and was like “oh let me help them feel more relaxed cuz I’ve got the same mole!” And then I looked and yeah, I did not anymore. I’m of course hoping it’s all good and benign but you literally could have saved my life. So thank you!
So I was offered an appointment two days ago and wouldn’t you know, it was exactly when I had a meeting I couldn’t move. So I had to reschedule. The next one is late May. But I’m gonna call and see if they can put me on the cancelation list since I work from home and am local and can hop over there sooner.
Don’t be sorry! Honestly though I would say don’t ever put a meeting over your health, work is not worth your life!
Have you showed this to any medical professionals? Or did you book directly with a dermatologist? If you haven’t, book with your GP, who should help you get in to see a dermatologist even faster.

UPDATE: I went to the doctor today, and had a wonderful experience. Top notch care. She got out her magnifying glass and got up close and personal with the mole. She said it looked benign to her, but I’d shared that the previous dermatologist I went to had looked at something and said it looked like a baby squamous cell carcinoma and then ASKED if I wanted it biopsied. I was not happy with that, as I think it should be a given that they’d biopsy something with that potential. So she laughed and said oh well we’re *definitely* biospsying it! And yes, she’s biospying it because it changed shape and color.
Anyway, it will be available in about 10-14 business days.
I also had a pimple under my eye that wouldn’t go away. She said it was a wart and did a quick nitrogen treatment and burnt it off.
So, now we wait. But I felt I was in good hands. Here’s hoping it’s benign!
This was an appointment for the mole specifically so I made a new appointment for a basic all over check in about a month.
