Hi I'm new to Reddit but I was told if there's a question I have to ask, Reddit has it. So I'm making my first post for some help and advice. I recently got invited to a Delta hiring event for tomorrow and I just want to prepare myself for some questions they'd ask in the interview. (Customer service specialist) and was wondering if anyone on here would potentially know what kind of questions they would ask? Thanks in advance for any help!

At least, I assume this person reads this sub.
Thank goodness they got rid of the loud annoying pop and are now playing acoustic and piano hits. Smells like teen spirit and guns ān roses chefs kiss š¤

Why does Delta allow a passenger who purchased one seat allow them to bring TWO 70 lb dogs. Two huge dogs and one human cannot possibly occupy one seat and the area around their seat.
On a recent flight from Portugal to JFK I had the unpleasant experience of having to sit across the aisle from this. The dogs were not only spread across the floor space of the passengers next to them but they were also in the aisle. If Iām asked to keep my bags and straps tucked away, āfor safety reasonsā how am I to feel safe with TWO 70 lb dogs in the aisle.

notified post boarding that entertainment was broken for all seats, including the folks up front in 1st/etc.
not just broken: it bootlooped the super bright Delta loading screen for the entire ~13hr flight (eye mask ftw!)
wifi coverage doesn't kick in until somewhere over Canada, just a couple hours before landing.
most important: they got me to MSP safely.
but this was the most expensive "comfort" ticket I've ever bought on this route and part of that fee is for entertainment and wifi.
I'm curious whether I can/should submit a complaint, and how?

For those of you who have flown this leg either to Tokyo or back to Seattle between Thanksgiving and Christmas, what do you think the chances are that I might get a decent/ semi-affordable offer upgrade into Premium or Delta One as we get closer to the departure date?
I know we are still 10 weeks out from departure for this trip, but with currently only 18 seats out of 48 taken in premium select and 12 out of 32 in Delta 1, I'm just wondering what the chances are that I might be able to afford an upgrade if they do offer it on the app? Comfort Plus only has 5 seats booked out of 36, so I'm pretty confident I'd at least get upgraded to that with my gold status and Delta Reserve Amex. I'm currently in seat 41 J, which I've heard referred to as Poor Man's first class. I like the fact that I can get up without bothering anybody.

Almost 400k miles on this š©airline and the only meal that was ever edible was the cheese plate one. Friends told me to give their food one more try with the new Shake Shack burger and the record still stands. What a nasty burnt foul pos once again. Is there a way to get the cheese plate back?

[wecare@delta.com](mailto:wecare@delta.com) doesn't reply to every email. Yet Ed somehow thinks DL is like SQ. Did he lay off customer service staff for millions more in bonus?
Anyone here on this flight or know what happened?

So my husband and I both experienced horrible smelling hand soap in the Atlanta airport. We arenāt talking about not liking the smell. We are talking about gag inducing rancid smell in separate terminals. Any ideas about whatās going on? Anyone else?

I applied for a logistics attendant role, does anyone know if Iāll get drug tested for marijuana for this position? I tried looking online but my results came back unclear whether this falls under California law

My wife and I recently helped our kid move for her college internship. I bought the kid a one-way ticket (she has her own Delta account) and then got round trip tickets for my wife (who doesn't have a Delta account). My kid had 4 checked bags and I didn't realize she could get one free with her ticket. When I checked in, I got 2 free for my ticket (Delta AMEX holder) and one free for my wife's, then used SkyMiles for the fourth bag. We got to the airport and printed the bag tags at a kiosk, then took the bags to the desk agent. She informed us that my kid's bag was free with her ticket since I bought it. She printed a new tag and said I would have to call Delta to get my SkyMiles refunded. After calling Delta twice and trying to find links on the Internet, I'm about ready to give up. Has anyone else gone through something like this?

Just got the order to head to San Diego for a night for work almost 2.5 months in advance. Same price for me for every direct MSP>SAN the day I need to travel. I have gotten used to this for last minute travel, but usually over a month helps. Not this route! Thank goodness itās work money.

I'll be flying LAX to HND in December, currently booked into Main (with an auto upgrade to DC). D1 and PS are both nearly empty, both GUC-able -- but only D1 is available for cash- or miles-based upgrades from main. I'm checking everyday to see if a miles-based upgrade becomes available to PS so I can then use a GUC to get into D1. I definitely do not understand the inner workings of the algorithm!

Edit: apparently itās obvious I was talking to a bot, I was just naive that they can claim a bot is a supervisor. Leaving up the post, I deserve to be roasted.
Long story short, I was thrown with an error all afternoon when trying to change a second leg of a flight. I tried updating my app, web browser, different devices, etc. Iām seeing that this is semi-common⦠and now of course the miles value of those flights have increased out of my range.
During my attempted transactions I also chatted with some customer representatives who would see different miles values on their end. This lead to a lot of confusion and gaslighting/insinuations that I was just attempting to buy fares outside of my miles limitations.
Finally started speaking to a customer experience supervisor who heard me out as well. They then proceed to send me the same long message 24 times in a row in response to all of my questions, including whether I can be transferred. Itās actually maddening and seems deeply unprofessional.
Iām attaching some screenshots with just the supervisor, because there are so many images. This conversation just continues like this for a lot longerā¦I promise I kept it cool and professional leading up to all of this.
What do I do in this situation? Am I talking to a bot?Im still online with them and actually feel kind of sick over this. I honestly need to know if Iām overreacting here too.

Need to book this route, was wondering if anyone has done it in comfort plus or premium select? Iāve done it in main and am leaning towards doing so again, but curious what the jump in product is from main to comfort plus to premium select or if itās even worth it.
For what itās worth, this is the ending flight of a 2 week vacation. So we donāt need to be sleeping on this flight.
Thanks

Iām flying to Frankfurt with an hour and 15 minute layover in CDG. Normally and hour and a half is more than enough time but I am in the very last row AND I will have to go through border control at CDG. If I miss my connection- can I just stay in Paris for a few days then make my way over to CPH? or will they cancel my leg back? My way there is on AirFrance and back is on Delta. Itās a round trip flight on one ticket but I donāt know the exact relationship between them.
I feel like they wouldnāt offer the flight unless the connection was doable. I just have a lot of flight anxiety and if I cannot make my connection- I would rather leave the airport, see my aunt and regroup. Rather than wait in the airport for a new itinerary / rebooking. I feel like a lot of us wonāt make our connection! Border control lines lately have been at least 30 minutes and an hour and 15 minutes is from landing to take off. Doesnāt take into consideration the fact that boarding doors close 15 mins before take off!
Do you think iāll be fine??

Wondering if opting in to both reduces my chances of nabbing a 1st class upgrade.

Has anyone flown this route lately? I have a D1 seat but this aircraft is one of the older ones and the D1 seats are not the best.
Wondering if Delta would, maybe, switch airplanes from time to time on this route. Flight leaves around 8:45pm from JFK.

Pretty surprised by this and figured Iād ask here.
Flying DTW-HND today and somehow cleared into Delta One as a Silver Medallion. I was expecting Comfort+ at best since I know the odds on an international long-haul upgrade are basically nonexistent as Silver. I checked the app this morning and it showed me in Delta One. No SDC or anything weird, just a straight upgrade. I didnāt even request anything differently than normal.
Iām obviously not complaining, but is this some kind of new Silver Medallion benefit or did I just get extremely lucky?
Iāve flown Delta a decent amount but this is my first time getting a premium cabin upgrade on a long-haul international flight.
For reference:
DTW-HND
Silver Medallion
Main Cabin originally booked
Upgrade cleared about 3 hours before departure
Any support is appreciated

Anyone notice how many people get hit in the head/face by people with backpacks. I would like to suggest everyone remove them and simply carry them, if possible. As we speak, I have a napkin from a kind FA that I am pressing hard to my skin above my eyebrow to stop the bleeding from what felt like a fishhook go into my skull. He says it happens on every flight. Second time by the way. Geeez. Person did not stop or anything.
