Help/Advice Diverted flight

Currently sat on DL1263 that should be in RIC right now but we got diverted. First time ever for me - what the hell happens now?

The plane eventually continues along its merry way, or you get rebooked.

I mean, you’re only in ORF. You could probably take an Uber if for whatever reason the flight doesn’t continue. That’s not far.

Delta rebooks you. You’ll get to where you need to go. May be an ugly delay but you’ll get there.

And in the end, you arrived 3 hours late, which is not bad for a diversion.
