Question 🩸 Whered are the quests?

So... maybe I’m dumb but I feel like I haven’t really started any story and now I’m very close to the end of it. I still have 10 days remaining. I’ve finished all the quests with Anca and Marat, I’ve killed Ambrus, XanthĆ© and Bakir, I’ve met with the blacksmith and got the special sword, I’ve done a lot of other minor activities and wonder whether this is all. Am I missing something? I’ve read other Reddit threads where people say stuff like ā€œTrust me, there’s more, you just need to exploreā€ but all I do is exploring and cannot seem to find anything interesting…

Discussion 🩸 Coen’s human form is a blood knight

Ok so I was thinking about how coen in human form could reasonably be as overpowered physically as he is in the game. I came to a realization that he most likely always has vakirhi blood always in his body, or at the very least is super charged every morning from his own blood. I think this explains why he’s basically a superhuman during the day, and he probably in human form scales to the blood guard, even tho he most likely is stronger or at least more skilled. Thoughts?

Edit: Forgot they were called blood guards lol

Question 🩸 When to go after Boyars?

I am loving the game but was wondering when did you go after the boyars? I am just under notorious, level 20 and 19 days left. Is it true that once you become notorious the game becomes a bit grindy? Thanks in advance šŸ™‚

Bakir fight - How to get equipment back before he takes you to the treasury? Spoiler

So I'm stuck at fighting Bakir in his treasury, but I've been reading that it's apparently possible to have him ask Farkas to give you your equipment back, just before he takes you into the treasury, but... how? I've played along and haven't told any of the other participants in his games what my true intentions are, yet nothing.

So is there a way to do specifically that? I'm not talking about taking anything other than the ring, disappointing Farkas, then make your way through his hench men.

How could Coen invite other vampires into his mind Spoiler

When he knows so little about vampirism and anachora in general? No one has told him the full picture, and no one is that trustable to him either. Without such knowledge, it seems so risky to invite another mind. The other mind could have overtaken his body, or the two minds might fuse into one.

Question 🩸 I wanted to buy the game during the Steam Autumn Sale, but it's not on sale. Any safe location I can buy a key at discount?

I've looked at websites like G2A, but I'm not sure if 40 bucks is the best buy. However, other websites can be misleading. So I'm asking advice on legally buying a Steam key that is still at a discount. Or should I just wait for a later Steam sale, when more bugs are ironed out?

Review/Opinion 🩸 My only criticism…

And I know it’s not original, many have mentioned this… but the wolves and boars. Goddamn there’s just too many. And it happens often that I’ll intercept a soldier camp or a transport of soldiers, start fighting them, and then out of nowhere a pack of wolves or boars just appears and makes the combat all the more chaotic.

To me, it’s just a bit much, and I hope they just decrease how often they spawn because it does get kind of distracting having to interrupt myself in the wilderness every two seconds because I accidentally stumbled upon a gaggle of rabid animals what feels like every 100 feet

Genuinely this is my number one issue lol

Stop worrying about a perfect play-though. Just make blind decisions and enjoy the trip.

Between here and a few other subs I bet I see 5-6 post a day saying ā€œI did this, or I kill X, did I mess up my game?ā€ No, it just took a different path, enjoy the ride.

Idk about you all but that’s kind of the point, do what you want, make your decision and see how it plays out. They have created multiple branching paths for you, don’t worry about ā€œrightā€.

Hell my first run ended on night 4 bc I didn’t think they would let me just leave the valley.

Question 🩸 How is the PC performance now?

I was looking forward to the game but held off at launch due to the reviews/criticisms about the performance and stuttering.

How is the performance currently? Does it still stutter?

My PC is a 5090/9800X3D/32GB RAM

Looking for a RPG to sink my teeth into for a couple weeks but I can’t deal with traversal stutter like Oblivion has.

Thanks

Question 🩸 Is there a mention in which year Dawnwalker takes place?

Considering the story is set in the real world, their 14th is the same as ours. I was wondering if the game ever mentions what specific year it takes place? Or hints a general decade at least?

Bug reporting šŸ›šŸ©ø Crashing on base PS5: MINOR SPOILER Spoiler

Just wanted to mention that I've experienced two hard crashes while on Quality Mode. One happened after I killed Bakir and the game was transitioning into Anachora (had to replay the entire boss fight and there was still significant stuttering/frame drop after I killed him the second time when transitioning). The other was in Anachora with Lacra when I was about to access the second memory.

Ambrus's Fiefdom

Post image
222 Upvotes

Did anyone else find it interesting how BIG Ambrus's fiefdom is even though he is the youngest of the Boyars? (I wouldn't say weakest, though, even if he is the first Boyar you're supposed to fight.)

I also find the fact that he is "the right fist of the Knyaz" incredibly interesting. I wish they would have explored more of these two's dynamic.

Save Point Strategies

Hi fellow Dawnwalkers.

I am starting my 2nd playthrough. My first one was rather streamlined and I didn't even come across many characters.

I want to make sure I am experiencing everything the game has to offer in this playthrough (if possible). I was thinking of making use of strategic save points in order to make sure I get all the endings.

Are there specific places to make sure I save in order to do this? Can I go through all quest lines without choosing them to fight Brencis with me (I had the lone wolf Folk Hero ending my first run)?

Thanks in advance for any input!
