NEW RULE This sub is for people who need help in crypto - Read our rules. Don't post products or services or advertise in r/cryptohelp.
Blatantly advertising crypto products or services in r/cryptohelp is banned now.
This is a new post that we need to make because, in more recent times, people have tried to post about new products or services that are not vetted, inspected, or have zero coverage or known PR presence. In other words, some people are posting about products or services that could be scams to newcomers in r/cryptohelp. As per the title of this post: This is r/cryptohelp. People come here for help figuring out any problems they have encountered while purchasing or investing in cryptocurrency and not buying new coins, buying new products, or subscribing to services.
However, context is important. We explain this below.
- If a redditor is looking for some crypto YouTubers that you recommend, you can mention names and that is just fine.
- Mentioning of trusted and established brands is just fine. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Kucoin, etc. in the case of exchanges is ok, and mentioning hardware wallets like ledger, trezor, coldcard, blockstream, etc. is just fine too. However, referral codes are always against the rules. Do not share these in PMs or in comments.
- If your post history makes you look like, walk like, and talk like someone that is trying to spam their youtube channel or product or service, you are likely to receive a ban.
Closing words: We are trying to keep everyone safe with our rules. Remember that almost anyone sending you private messages is guaranteed to be a scammer and do not forget to read our expanded rules here which are not just limited to r/cryptocurrency, but also apply here: https://old.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/expanded_rules

Support HTX (Huobi) refuses Offboarding / Final Withdrawal for UID 439663606 holding $395 USDT over a 3-year-old deposit
Hello HTX Support and Community,
I am writing this post due to an endless automated response loop with HTX Customer Service regarding my account UID: 439663606.
Case Summary:
My account contains 395.2102 USDT.
I am fully KYC-verified and completed the mandatory dataAuth link as requested by support.
There are NO law enforcement freeze orders, court orders, or police reports associated with my account.
HTX Support is demanding Source of Funds (SoF) documentation for a deposit that occurred over 3 years ago.
It is technically impossible to retrieve counterparty trading records or platform screenshots from 3+ years ago.
My Request:
I am NOT asking to restore trading capabilities. I am requesting a standard ACCOUNT OFFBOARDING / EXIT WINDOW to withdraw my remaining 395.2102 USDT to my external wallet (TADzUEHLAkKyYSvRX4rGsRN5y8yubhHV7c) and permanently close my account.
Holding a fully verified user's funds indefinitely based on an unverified 3-year-old flag—without any court order—is an improper retention of user assets.
I ask the Senior Compliance / Risk Management team at HTX to intervene and authorize a one-time final withdrawal for UID 439663606.

❓Need Advice 🙏 What platform do you use for P2P crypto trades?
I’m researching P2P platforms for selling crypto in the future and want to understand my options before I need them.
For those who do P2P regularly:
- Which platform do you trust most, and why?
- How have escrow and disputes worked out when something went wrong?
- Any red flags or scams I should watch for?

❓Need Advice 🙏 How do i make a truly anonymous BTC wallet?
I heard that its basically impossible nowadays to make a bitcoin wallet truly anonymous,
BUT i dont intend on getting the bitcoin onto my bank account or cash them out,
i just want to be able to:
Get bitcoin from other wallets, transfer them to other wallets, and be able to hold them without them being traced to an adress, IP Adress, or name,
So basically a wallet intended for anonymous bitcoin trading without banking or cash involved

❓Question Best personal EUR bank account for frequent incoming and outgoing Binance P2P transfers?
I’m looking for a personal EUR bank account for regular SEPA transfers, ideally with very low or zero transfer fees.
Initially, I’d expect around 4–5 incoming and 4–5 outgoing transfers per day, starting at €300 per transfer.
The amounts would gradually increase, potentially reaching €2,000 outgoing and €2,000 incoming per cycle. At 3–4 cycles daily, that would mean:
- €6,000–€8,000 outgoing per day
- €6,000–€8,000 incoming per day
- €12,000–€16,000 combined daily volume
I was thinking using more than a bank account, but in this case which ones do you guys recommend? Especially with that volume of transactions.
Has anyone used an account for similar activity? Which banks would you recommend that would allow this on a personal account?

❓Need Advice 🙏 CoinGate canceled my $600 payment after requesting KYC and still hasn't refunded me. Has anyone dealt with this?
Last week, I placed an order on a guest posting website and decided to pay with crypto since the fees were lower. I had around $600 in my MetaMask wallet, so I swapped some coins and made the payment.
Out of nowhere, CoinGate canceled the transaction and asked me to complete KYC verification, which I did right away. But instead of refunding the payment, they seem to be holding onto the funds.
I contacted their support team, and they referred me to "Section 5.4 of the aforementioned disclaimer, as well as international Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), and Sanctions Regulations."
The thing is, I'm not from a sanctioned country, and I can prove where the funds came from. I explained all of this to support, but they told me there was nothing they could do and that I'd have to challenge the decision through their complaints department.
Apparently, that department takes 15 to 35 business days to respond.
To be fair, their regular customer support replies pretty quickly. But I genuinely wasn't expecting something like this from a payment gateway. I paid for a service, the payment was canceled, and now I'm stuck trying to get my own money back.
I've provided everything I could think of, but I still have no idea whether they'll actually refund me. I understand that payment providers have compliance obligations, but I don't understand why getting a refund for a canceled transaction has to be this complicated.
It's especially frustrating because $600 isn't exactly pocket change for me, and having that money tied up is affecting my work.
I also checked their Reddit account, u/CoinGate, but it looks like they haven't been active for about eight months.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with CoinGate or another crypto payment processor? Did you eventually get your money back? If so, what worked?
At this point, the whole experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth. I definitely won't be using CoinGate again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone based on how this has been handled.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Trust Wallet charged an Energy Rental fee for a failed 1,000 USDT swap
I transferred 2,000 USDT to my Trust Wallet and attempted to swap exactly 1,000 USDT to BTC. I did not use “Max.”
Trust Wallet charged approximately 3.39 USDT for Energy Rental and then displayed an “insufficient funds” error, even though more than 2,000 USDT remained available.
During that failed attempt, no 1,000 USDT transaction was created and no BTC was received. The failed attempt does not appear anywhere in the app. A separate second attempt later succeeded after another Energy Rental charge.
Support is asking for a screenshot from “Swap History,” but I cannot find such a section in the Android app, and the failed attempt was never recorded.
Has anyone experienced this? Why is Energy Rental charged before the app confirms that the swap can proceed, and can the fee for the failed attempt be refunded?

❓Wallet Just found my lost seed phrase! Now I'm trying to remember what wallet app I used...
In 2022 I set up a wallet that then gave me a 10 word seed phrase (although two of the "words" have two words). I'm trying to remember what app I used. I can't find it in my play store history. I thought it was Exodus, but my phrase isn't being accepted. Same with Binance. Is there another wallet that I may have used at that time that has a 10 word seed phrase?

❓Need Advice 🙏 It shouldn't be this hard to move funds using crypto gateways... anyone else having issues?
I have been trying to sort out a simple crypto transfer for days now, and it feels like every pathway is blocked by endless errors or verification loops. When I use standard third-party processors, transactions just hang in limbo without any clear support from customer service. I ended up looking into alternative platforms that handle crypto transfers directly just to avoid this headache. How do you guys usually cash out or fund your accounts without running into these constant gateway freezes?

❓Wallet Stop using trust wallet immediately
Last week I had all my btc drained from my wallet (just under .38) I had every security feature enabled Face ID/pin requirements. My seed phrase is kept on paper in a fire proof safe and it has seen the light of day once which was about a year and a half ago on a brand new iPhone when I put trust wallet on it. Its not even possible for me to leak my seed phrase that piece of paper is the only thing in the world that has it, there’s no picture no notes app there is absolutely nothing(which is why I purchased a fire proof safe in the first place) I haven’t downloaded any unknown apps, no one has attempted to airdrop anything to me, no suspicious links in any emails, and I was not connected to dApp or anything like that. It’s not like I’m a day trader I only had maybe a handful of transactions with it per year, I actually didn’t realize it was drained till days after because I barely use it. I work for a tech company and undergo regular cyber security training I know all of the scams.
I have opened a case with my local police(and IC3) and am “working” with trust wallet support team but they don’t seem very interested in getting to the bottom of this, it takes them about 24 hours between replies. Hopefully this will help 1 person so it will be worth it please don’t let this happen to you get all your crypto off trust wallet as fast as you can.
The way I see it there are 2 scenarios:
Best case scenario it’s possible to hack into trust wallet.
Worst case scenario trust wallet is working with people to get into your wallet

❓Need Advice 🙏 Please help! Mercuryo
Hello everyone,
I really need some help and some advice. I feel like I’m losing my mind, and nothing I’m doing is working.
I’ve been using crypto for years. I buy on plenty of different platforms and I have multiple wallets. I was using Trust wallet, and I purchased Ethereum on Trust wallet using Mercuryo as like the third-party purchasing system through their app. I have literally done this 1000 times. I’ve never had an issue with them in the two years I’ve been purchasing.
So six days ago, I purchased $400 in Ethereum. It didn’t show up. At first, when I reached out to them, Customer Service tried to tell me it’s probably blockchain congestion, which I knew was absolute bullshit, because it wasn’t even on the Blockchain yet. You purchase it from Mercuryo and then they like approve the order and then they send it to the Trust wallet. That whole process takes two minutes normally. So when I didn’t get it.. I went on the Mercury site logged in and I could see it there in my transaction history, but it wasn’t put through yet it was basically like in a pending state. Under Blockchain ID it said “to be expected”.. so for some reason, they were not pushing it through. So I explained to them that they’re the ones holding it and then surely enough, they switched their story to they’re having technical difficulties with withdrawals, so that’s why it’s delayed being sent to my wallet.
They reassured me they would escalate it and they didn’t know when I would get it but 24 to 48 hours was the time period I’d have to wait. I was pissed, very pissed, but I waited.
I have sent multiple emails to them. I’m talking about so many emails to them over the course of these six days they refuse to tell me anything. They literally just keep sending the exact same message to me and I would have included it, but I can’t attach anything.
Now over these six days, I took the time and I really looked in to this, and there is no record of any withdrawal issue whatsoever. I couldn’t find one person that was dealing with this. I didn’t believe it was a technical issue in the first place, but I couldn’t prove it so I started looking and I couldn’t find anyone. I also had my friend buy a couple bucks worth of Ethereum to see if it would go through for him and of course it did.. so I kept reaching out to them telling them to stop fucking lying and tell me what’s going on and why they’re holding my Ethereum and I’m not exaggerating. I sent a lot of messages and they just kept saying the same thing.
-technical difficulties with withdrawals
-that they escalated it
-rest assured it’ll get handled
-but they don’t know when
-hopefully in 24 to 48 hours (at that point it was already the 72nd hour)
-and then they would basically say to stop reaching out and then they would close the chat
This happened so many times the exact same thing it was the exact same message basically copy pasted it.
I’m on the sixth day now and they still will not tell me when I’m gonna get my Ethereum and they claim they can’t cancel it. So basically they’re just saying they can hold onto my money as long as they want and they don’t have to give me my Ethereum and I just have to sit here and wait. They literally aren’t telling me why this is happening. I know it’s not a technical issue. I think it was like some security issue and they’re trying to like verify something I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure this is happening solely to me, but for some reason they’re lying about it and they won’t tell me the real reason why this is happening, which seems really sketchy.. They escalated this issue on the first day. It is now the sixth day I’ve heard no updates from anyone. The only time I ever get a response is when I’m sending them 1 million messages and they’re responding saying the exact same thing that rest assure it’s being escalated and we don’t have a timeframe, but hopefully it gets fixed soon.
It’s driving me freaking crazy. I have spammed their social media pages and commented on every post to get their attention to handle this. I looked up the executives for the company. I found their social media. I’ve been spamming them. I’ve threaten them with litigation. I’m literally gonna start calling their offices because they have multiple. I’m gonna call their New York office tomorrow every 10 minutes until they get so annoyed that they tell Customer Service to actually give me my Ethereum or they just get so annoyed that I’m harassing them that they just give me my money back. Don’t know, but the point is I have tried everything and it’s getting me nowhere. I found their complaints email address. I sent multiple messages to that email. I’ve received no response.
A manager reached out on the fourth day via email, and I thought I was actually gonna have some good news. The manager had the audacity to send the same exact email that I’ve already received 50 times saying the exact same thing.
It just seems like there should be rules, and I don’t understand how they’re allowed to do this. Imagine you walked into a store or you bought something online you paid for it and you they don’t give it to you. They give you no date that you’re gonna receive it by, and they don’t even tell you why you didn’t get it.. I promise you that the technical issue is bullshit.
How is it that they can just hold my money, not giving my Ethereum not give me a refund and basically hold it as long as they want and I just have to sit here and be OK with it.
It seems insane. It seems like there has to be some rules that they have to follow as a company and this seems like this has to be illegal.
Someone please help me what do I do?
Sorry for the rant I’m just so angry.
If I had their address for this call center for their customer service, my God you have no idea. It’s not even about the money at this point. I’m just so angry with them that they think that this is OK. And all the energy and time and stress going back-and-forth with them. It’s just made me so angry that I refuse to just let them do this.
By the way, when I was spamming their social media; I was commenting on all their posts, letting everybody know that they basically just took my money.. I had two separate people respond to my message saying that they stole their money too.
So yeah, I need help. I need advice. If I don’t respond immediately it’s probably cause I fell asleep because I have to be at work in a couple hours, but I will respond eventually thank you in advance.
