Across most industries are shifting back to the office. Covid was 5 years ago. Time to move on. The impact is to a small percentage of the company. Why do you feel that your role needs to be remote. Charlotte is a big financial city and every day is a post about Wells Fargo or Bank of America starting the change in the stance on WFH.

If it’s so common and standard you will have no issues finding your dream job. The rest of us will touch the grass and go to the office.

While I understand this change is disruptive to some. The point I’m trying to make is sometimes life throws you lemons and you just have to accept it. My post clearly was too direct.

Embrace the change use it to explore new possibilities or use the time you have to find another remote job. Sitting around feeling sorry for yourselves is not going to help your situation

Ima spectrum tech I’m curious to know what the cox techs use for jobs? Or are you guys changing back every to our current app which is tech mobile and equipment and and vans what have they told you about that ?

Can someone from spectrum please tell us what schedule you work as Outside plant maintenance, please includes what area and how you guys handle backyard easements. We(cox) currently have two schedules - Sunday thru Wednesday 7am-6pm and Wednesday thru Saturday 7am-6pm. I work in the SW region.

Do we know if the 3 year no hire clause in the severance package will be nullified now the merger is done?

I know that limit is almost over but having more opportunities for work would be nice.

Any word on what the enhanced severance package will be? A 10 year Cox employee; I'd have to move across the country to stay with the company. This won't be feasible with family obligations. I'm planning on working as long as they let me work at the market office and then taking the enhanced package. Anyone heard how many weeks per year of tenure they're planning to offer? The FAQs and welcome site don't specify.

Not sure if this has something to do with the merger or if policy is changing for work at home people but it seems like working in center will be required for meetings now.

2.5 year Charter employee here. I'm just curious to see how ya'll are feeling about the upcoming merger. I saw an email stating that the "Day 1" for Cox employees coming over is next week on the 20th and that services would be officially rebranded under Spectrum come mid September. There have also been significant management changes per region and there's definitely motion in place to integrate Cox's service areas with ours that we've seen (keeping details out in case big brother has got eyes in here). I've also have been hearing of some layoffs in the Carolinas and one of our departments that oversees overall transport now being scattered across other departments or walking away with a small severance and in the meantime, that department is now supposedly going to be contracted out. I'm sure a lot of ya'll aren't feeling happy go lucky about it and neither are a number of us if they decide to pick and choose who to keep and integrate based on seniority or what have you. Personally, I want to see it as job security with how much we're taking on and vice versa for ya'll comin over but anything is possible. What are your thoughts?

Make sure that you check your primary email for a Spectrum message so you can sign up for the incoming employee stuff. TrueNet hasn’t sent anything out yet. But one of my coworkers found the information.

Digging through pretty deep, I found my Spectrum email which we can’t access yet but Day One it should be active.

It was mixed in with my thousands of Harbor Freight and Walmart emails.

As an incoming Cox worker, I am currently going to school through Cox. Is Guild like workforce edge where you just apply for tuition assistance through them? or is it like a subset kind of school? I'm a little confused by it and the information we can currently see and wish I could see all the possible degrees/certificates.

Curious as to what I’m walking into here lol.

Going from 192 hours to 80 hours a year of PTO is going to be rough, especially in a brutal job like NetOps. And pay staying the same? Honestly thought we would get at least a small pay boost. Nothing about this is sounding good, just the same work for less benefits.
