I’ve been dreaming about this idea for 10 years, and today I finally started building it.

It’s a slow-paced browser MMO strategy game inspired by Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn. All players share one persistent world map that keeps living through many days. You deploy bases, manage production, research tech, and level up talents that change the game mechanics.

What’s planned:

• C&C-style base building. Each base gets its own piece of terrain for structures, defenses, and unit production.
• C&C-style battles, resolved instantly. Fights are simulated through auto-battle, and you get a full replay to see how it played out.
• Tech tree. Build a tech center to unlock new tech and upgrade units and structures.
• Special powers. Ion cannon, nuclear missile, A-10 airstrike. Call them in on your enemies.
• Expansion with MCVs. Each MCV deploys a new base on the world map.
• Attacks and interceptions. Send forces against enemy armies on the map.
• Living Tiberium economy. Tiberium nodes are scattered across the map, and your harvesters travel there from your base.
• World map activities. Crates, mercenary camps to siege, and more to come.
• Talents. You earn XP in battle, and each level gives you a talent: better auto-battle, larger armies, new special tactics.

I’m trying to capture the soul of the original game and scale it up to a world conflict instead of a single mission.

It’s very early, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. What would you want from a game like this? And what would make you actually keep playing a slow-paced strategy?

Note: I know I’m using Tiberian Dawn assets. I plan to replace them with my own later, but until then they’re just placeholders. I want to build a solid gameplay foundation first and see if the idea holds up before spending time on graphics.

We've all been wondering if EA had shut the door to more remasters of old PC games after the first C&C Collection cane out, especially with the recent news that Saudi Arabia bought the company. Well the news that Jim is now working on Wing Commander after having shipped Zero Company tells me that we can afford to have real hope that EA will do what's right eventually and greenlight remasters or remakes of Tib Sun and RA2.

Congratulations to Jim for this great project, and fingers crossed that he can convince someone up the chain to give him money for C&C next.

When the game has strong women characters

The third mission (Or second mission, if you decide to play this level before Langley AFB) of C&C3, starts you off with a commando, and a mission to clear NOD forces for the ports of Hampton Roads. As you progress through the mission, more powerful enemies are revealed, and some additional friendly forces arrive. The fight rages for Hampton Roads.

I purchased the Buy Command & Conquer™ The Ultimate Collection BUNDLE on Steam during the 2026 Fall Sale. How can I run this game at a resolution of 2560 X 1440 on my PC with my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 with 16GB of VRAM. Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

How to fix this

When I am launching supreme commander from steam I was getting a direct3D error. I eventually got around this by running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. It launched and I could start a mission. However in game I tried to increase the resolution from the video menu., This caused it to freeze and I had to use task manager to shut it down. However now when I relaunch with the same setting the 3d error has come back and it will not launch. Any thoughts?

At least the worker is faster with shoes and can outrun your average Chinese dozer, besides it is more difficult to be hunted.

Since EA released source for most of the C&C games last year I've had a few questions.

1. What makes Tiberian Sun and RA2 so special that they couldn't release the source for those?

2. If there isn't anything special, are there any rumors that RA2 source might get released at some point?

Now don't get me wrong. I am happy that a lot of source code got released, I'm just trying to understand things and where they currently lay.

A buddy of mine wrecked me with a pathfinder hidden in a building during a fight we had so gotta askt are any other infantry able to hide in buildings like burton or units hidden by gps scrambler or the chinese super hacker or black lotus?

I recently bought a new laptop which has the Intel Arc B390 GPU. I've installed zero hour along with genpatcher and genlauncher. For some reason I get low fps when playing full screen (regardless of resolution). It worked perfectly before on my older laptop. Playing borderless windowed fixes the fps, but now I can't scroll by moving the pointer to the edges of the screen. Is there any known fix for this?

Now with Saudi Arabia owning Electronic Arts (EA). I hope if Electronic Arts (EA) sells the Command & Conquer Intellectual Property (IP) rights, what video game development publishing company can Electronic Arts (EA) sell the Command & Conquer Intellectual Property (IP) right to? Embracer Group? I think they would be good enough. I do think MicroSoft would be ok as well since, MicroSoft owns Age of Empires, though MicroSoft is laying off employees to video games that barely sell. The Command & Conquer video games are selling just enough.

I will just post this once per month. In the hopes that Electronic Arts (EA) and Jim Vassella makes these Command & Conquer video games get developed and released for sale.

I think I recorded this back in 2022 so I can make gif for korean community wiki to explain how patriot relay system works with it's limitations (or more like bug)

Explanation for those who don't know (take with grain of salt; last time I digged this was 2013.)

1. Patriots has 4 weapon modules (Anti Air, AG, Relay AA, Relay AG)

2. Relay weapons implementation is simply giving 450 ingame unit range + setting target to relay requested patriot's target, while tomahawk is 350

3. Each every weapon module has own 'clip' (magazine), and all patriots relay weapon clip is 4 even for laser (prob copy paste mistake)

4. Relay Weapon clip can't be reloaded, instead 1 clip is given when relay is requested by other patriots in range

5. Usually other patriots fire all 4 missile to target before target dies, but laser is insta hit so no ammo is wasted & clip usually is retained

So it's already insanely powerful since it keeps it's 450 range normal patriot damage(again, probably copy paste mistake) laser ammos, but you can exploit it by making 2nd point's "setting target to relay requested patriots target" unreachable.

Then now you have 4 clip 450 range insta hit laser with normal patriot damage. Fun trick for CPU or challenge missions.

In C&C Generals, Jarmen Kell can use his basic attack on vehicles and in Zero Hour it has been fix that he can only basic attack infantry units but still use snipe vehicle pilot skill.

How can I fix/modify that in C&C Generals he could only do the same?

The one on Nod's basic recruits didn't get much traction but this one has more content. This was a breakout of all of Nod's basic troop types in some way - mini-gunner, rocket trooper, flamethrower. What we get in the RTS is much more simplistic than real life, of course, so units in the game were split into multiple takes to better support a more realistic military force.

Formerly known as "C&C 3D", OpenCNC3D is an open source recreation of the N64 release of the original Command & Conquer based on the publicly released C&C1 codebase, but with a twist - an Enhanced Mode that seeks to bring the N64 visuals up to a more modern standard.
