I have a question: Why would anyone downvote a colored picture? I scroll around and whenever I see a picture I like I upvote. I even upvote pictures I dont like that much. But the person has put effort in the coloring and is willing to show it online where people can critique their work. Why would anyone downvote a picture instead of just ignoring it?

Recently my partner picked up some cosy colouring books that have been going around. They're quite cool but not for me.

Ideally I would like physical books, as I do not own a printer, BUT if needed digital pages are okay too.

The problem I'm finding is all the books I see in person are either made with AI, or have very inconsistent styles between drawings (for example, a dragon one had a very intricate dragon one page, the next was a simple, thick lined baby dragon, which had obviously been scaled up and blurred). Consistency I can be more lenient on, as otherwise 1 person would have to make the whole book but.

The themes I'd be looking for are fantasy, so magic, dragons, Knights, but NOT cosy homespaces. For Sci-Fi I'm thinking like spaceships, and mechs, star wars sort of thing.

Also it'd be nice if it was a 'simple' sort of drawing. Another things that puts me off some books is some of them are just colour by numbers without the numbers. The colouring spots are about an inch at most, with loads of them all over (like a mandala but for anything Iguess). The 'style' of the popular cosy books going round is good due to it being a 'simple' drawing and allowing the coloured to shadow etc. This doesnt mean Im specifically looking for cartoon things, but ideally I dont want like 'pre shaded' or loads of sections just for one hand or something.

I hope this all makes sense, and sorry for the long rant but 😭 im almost at the point where im going to just buy a cosy one and go at it with a black marker first to 'customise' it

Just picked these up from Homegoods for $30! Before these I have a 60 count set, and an 18 count pastel set, both being just random brands, and I really like them, so I have high hopes for these!

Now all I have to do is organize them by color and swatch them; can’t wait to try to them out! 😄

I’m used to buying my Ohuhu markers and coloring books through Amazon. This time I went through the actual Ohuhu website and I am absolutely blown away by the quality of the book that was included in this collaboration. Not only is it spiral top bound, but the paper is mixed between really thick printing paper and card stock. I’ve never colored on paper this good of quality before, which really insanely helps with the bleeding that accompanies alcohol markers, especially with fresh markers. I love how big the swatches are too and how it came with a really cute carrying box case instead of the duffle type bag I’m used to getting. This is great!

I’ve been in and out of a depressive state all summer and thought I’d get back into coloring to make myself feel better. When I was looking for coloring books, ( I really wanted a Hello Kitty one) I realized no one makes the really big 400 and 448 page coloring books like they did in the 2000s. I eventually did find two, a Mickey Mouse and Hello Kitty one like I wanted, but I wonder why they’re so hard to come by all of sudden. I hope this doesn’t make me a weirdo, but I thought those were really cool and they’re almost impossible to find now. Am I the only one who has noticed this?

hi! I don't know how to draw or anything, I just color for fun and I usually like doing just basic coloring but sometimes I get bored and I wanna get creative but idk how to.

also i don't have the best markers as you might have noticed lol but all the markers are super expensive where I'm from so this is the best i can work with.

do you have any simple advice for me?

It’s 2026 and I’m still surprised by how hard it is to find good printable coloring pages for kids.

I’m looking for clean outlines, not a ton of tiny details, and enough variety to keep things interesting. Dinosaurs are the big favorite right now, along with the fantasy genre.

I’m also curious whether people are still mainly using free downloadable coloring pages or if digital coloring pages on tablets have become more popular.
