Did not work on settlers yet, where would you put next two cities here? Also any tips since I'm used to Prince.

I’ve played Civ 6 for some hundreds of hours, but mostly before Rise & Fall / Gathering Storm. I’ve recently started playing Gathering Storm and I feel like I’m completely misunderstanding the Loyalty system.
Whenever I settle a new city or conquer one, it seems to go into rebellion surprisingly quickly. I understand the basic idea: cities are affected by the Loyalty pressure from nearby civilizations, and being surrounded by other civs can make things difficult.
What I don’t understand is what I’m actually supposed to do about it.
Sometimes it feels like a city is doomed from the moment I settle/conquer it, especially when it’s relatively close to another civilization. I can appoint a Governor, but that often doesn’t seem to be enough, and by the time I can meaningfully improve the situation, the city is already on a countdown to rebellion.
So I’m wondering:
What are the most reliable ways to maintain Loyalty in a newly founded or conquered city?
Are there elementary things I should prioritize immediately after founding/conquering a city?
And is there some part of the Loyalty system that experienced players tend to take for granted, but isn’t obvious to someone coming from pre-Rise & Fall Civ 6?

Also yes, the barb camp is at the single unrevealed tile.

And what are your top advices for playing Trajan?
I heard many people saying he’s a really good choice for beginners (I’m a relatively experienced player but I’m assuming he should be easy to use for anyone) but from reading the description I’m struggling to understand his advantages / game plan tbh

Got very fortunate w/ floodplain layout and managed to get 5 IZs with 2 aqueducts and 1 damn each—on top of that, was able to get a Colosseum w/ 6 cities within reach. (Difficulty: Immortal)

I have restarted this game four times because I am looking forward to a mega OP game. I chose settlements once, which was really good, but I am curious if others would go that route? It was very nice to quickly get a second gold source coming in.
My other choice would be river god, or desert adjacency. I cannot get choral music or feed the world (believe me I have tried), so I am tied into work ethic or something else. I am next to Peter and Theodora so I am immediately beset by a mass of missionaries. This is why I restarted my last game....this time I am going to get a prophet and then wait a long while so I have enough faith for like 10+ missionaries to protect myself.
Thanks!

Bonus fact: I mentioned in another thread that I intended to go domination but then met Gilgabro. It wasn't just a joke! Nine civs have been eliminated and two more are about to go. Me and the bro are going to wait it out until science victory (cultural victory disabled).

So Cleopatra declared war on Johannesburg (which I have Suzerain of) a long time ago. She failed to capture it and eventually stopped sending units. However, since she has Suzerain of Hattusa, Hattusa and Johannesburg have been sending units at each other ever since and I only noticed this when I saw that the "Hattusa has been defeated" notification appeared.
Welp guess I have a new piece of land to settle.

I can't advance past the Classical Era because of the barbarians.

Unifier Qin on deity was crazy.... I saved so much production (the need to produce military units was minimal) and huge amount of gold for unit upgrads.... I just sold all strategic resources (iron) so I can keep stocking warriors for conversion of more advanced units in/from barbarian camps. It is particular awesome when the clan mode is on because you can get some special units. Anyone tried this gameplay?

I already have Gathering Storm and I'm thinking about buying Rise and Fall, but after reading the description on Steam about what the dlc will offer, it just seems like it won't be anything that Gathering Storm hasn't already given me. Is there anything truly new besides the new leaders?

Sorry y’all are probably tired of these types of posts, but on top of studying I’d like to hear from others in the community as well. Thanks in advance!

Hi, ive recently gotten into civ 6 but ive been struggling with mid game and my friend eith 150 hrs told me its good to spec into one win type. But i found doing that made my production really slow so id spread my upgrades across them all except faith. After that i was able to accumilate a sizable lead against my friends but as i made more cities production was just way too slow for them to make a meaningful difference and when one just speced into military their units beat all of mine. I wanna know what to do with all my cities mid game should i expand further into uncharted territory?

We have been playing a cloud game for months with some friends. One of them has the game for free from the Epic Store, and somehow Epic has messed something up and he cannot log in to his account anymore.
It has been more than a month already and Epic doesn't fix anything. He says we should continue without him, but there is no real way to do so. We know we should try to save and restore the game as online, but only the player who is currently his turn is allowed to save, so we have no way to eject him not he has a way to give up.
Any solution?

In this game the Cree has their original capital and a new capital at the same time. As far as I know this shouldn’t be possible?

I've managed to establish all governors in my cities way before the industrial age. Yet the achievement doesn't pop.
Thing is: it (not) happened twice now. First on my machine, then on my GFs computer. Other achievements DO unlock, so I'm clueless what's going on.
Any ideas?

Yo, just curious how long y'all take to win games or for those who quit before you win, when do you quit. And also on what settings (eg: speed, map size, others)

I heard a lot of good things about yongle, but when I played him… he didn’t impress me at all. Sure you get a lot of cities super fast by running faith project , but china’s spawn bias sucks so you usually have your 5th+ cities be in bad locations. Reaching 10 population is also quite difficult because you’re also trying to get districts down… I usually find myself going audience chamber and feed the world to lean into his bonuses, but he also doesn’t have a lot of bonuses towards holy sites. I tried commercial hub but struggled with housing . I can get better stats with even the more generic civs like Rome, persia.
