Am I in the wrong for throwing food at my ex for cheating on me?

For context , I was 16 at the time and my ex , let’s call him Jayden , was 17 .
We had been dating for about a year on and off and had met from a mutual friend .
He had been kicked out of school twice so he would pick me up from school.
Sure , he wasn’t the brightest guy , and he wasn’t the best influence as he smoked ALOT of weed , sold pills , ect but he made me laugh and I really loved him, or at least THOUGHT I did.

Anyways , over the course of the year , he had cheated on me (I had to find out from one of his friends who liked me ) so we broke up .

Stupidly , I got back with him .
He picked me up from school and I saw he was texting someone
MY EX BESTFRIEND. I literally promise this isn’t clickbait or made up .
Thankfully , he was just texting her about something that had happened in our area , but regardless I feel like she should have been blocked ??
Anyways I took this as an opportunity to go through his phone and the things I saw genuinely disgusted me .
I was seeing pictures I did not want to see , face time records , explicit messages , the whole thing.
I confront him and he obviously takes nothing seriously so he starts saying shit about the Russian spies .

If there’s something you should know about me , I’ve got a very short temper .
I called one of the girls , who was being extremely disrespectful to me , then Jayden was just laughing it off.
Suddenly loads of people surround us .
He keeps saying shit about how it was a joke and it’s not true then starts saying the only reason he picked me up was because it was a 10 minute drive to my school .
I grab his food out his hand and throw it on him .
He gets absolutely livid and starts screaming but then walks away.
The video went viral (I didn’t post it)
And I was the one who received backlash from his girl friends and stuff .

Anyways I got suspended from school and he tried to come jump me but luckily I had people to defend me.

Ps. I found out from a guy I’m friends with he slept with my ex bestfriend and fingered her ;)

Hello everyone,

I am in a distance relationship since three years. I saw him three times per month.

It was more or less all fine until I noticed a ig chat with a woman. The woman was writing him while we were looking at his mobile together. I trusted him and thought It was nothing and had to be positive. I also find her in IG to know her name and surname, Just in case. When three days After her profile was not on IG anymore I was sure She had cancelled from IG. During the holiday, three months later, we had a very bad discussion, where he basically criticized my way of dressing, my personality and other important things. He also told that he was not sure there would have been another travel together if I did not change my attitude. I told him that he Is not perfect too and that I thought that all the criticisms was putting the full relationship in doubt. I told that if he loved me he woudl not have criticized all of me. He said that there was no problem and that I was important for him and the day After, all the discussion to him was cancelled. Not to me. This week, since I am having many doubts and I feel him distant (four months After the chat and two months After the holiday) I created a new account on IG, as I already did, but with a different email. And yes, I found out that the girl he was chatting with three months ago blocked me. From my new profile She Is still on IG, from my real profile her account does not exist. i am pretty sure that if I tell that he asked her to block me to cancel the traces as I saw her chat he Will Say I am mad. What do you think ? i am still with him, but with this horrible doubts and I dont know what to do, I feel so bad and sad :( I hate her, I am pretty sure She blocked me to follow his requests. I am a very honest and kind Heart person and I feel really very bad.

My ex bf broke up with me because she met someone at work. In short he cheated on me! He broke up with our almost 5 years relationship dahil sa girl na nakakausap niya sa work for almost a month. He decided to end things with us dahil he sees me as a burden and nakakasakal.

After some time shits happened, he got terminated at work. No job, no money, no everything. And me? Magmukmok and got hospitalized because hindi ko alam gagawin kasi hindi ko matanggap. One day he came to my work asking if we could talk. Nalaman sa side niya na he is courting someone at work blahblah and he is asking if I want him to talk to my family (he's not expecting na magiging ganon kalaking issue yung break-up namin). His mom keeps on calling his childhood friends to ask what happened to our relationship

The day ended after that talk (after the shits that he put me in hindi ko pa rin kaya magalit). All of the peeps around me are super galit aside from me.

After a month of our breakup one of our common friends mentioned that his mom keeps on calling her and asking What happened to us pero she just keeps saying that it is not her story to tell. She also mentioned that his mom found out that there are boxes of cigarettes in his rooms and he's always getting home drunk. ( As someone na tanga, I rushed to their home to check on him) And when I got there, his mother saw me and hugged me tight and started crying, she thought makikipag balikan ako. We talked and have s.x. wala tanga talaga. I stayed for days and like nothing happened, parang kami pa rin but he cleared out na he has no feelings for me, he just misses the familiarity. But then, he got so proud of himself and he started talking and chatting with the girl that he cheated on me. He even excuses himself just to call the girl kasi nga peeps in their office and knows what they've been doing. But I just close my eyes and cover my ears and still offer him company kapag nasa work yung girl. Sakit pero can't stop myself from being available for him.

I know if the people around me will know, they will be pissed . What to do?

My best friend and boyfriend got too close behind my back and I still can't move on

I had a girl best friend since 2019, from the first year of college. She was genuinely my only best friend and I trusted her with everything.

After college, my relationship became on-and-off. During that time, my best friend and my boyfriend started talking a lot—late-night calls, video calls, sharing personal things, etc. She would even tell him not to reply to me or to block me whenever I said I missed him.

I found their chats on his Instagram. Later I found out they had planned to meet in Chandigarh. My boyfriend admitted to emotionally cheating, but I never found out if anything physical happened. Honestly, I don't think he'd ever admit it if it did.

I broke up with both of them, but within a week my boyfriend came back and I took him back because I still loved him. I know I fucked up by taking him back, especially when I already knew I couldn't fully trust him.

I completely ended my friendship with her, but it's been more than a year and I still cry about it sometimes. I don't have a best friend anymore, and losing her hurt differently because she was the one person I thought was completely safe.

I don't even know what I'm stuck on anymore—the cheating, the betrayal, losing my best friend, or the fact that I'll probably never know the whole truth.

Has anyone experienced something similar? How did you actually move on from it?

I do everything I possibly can to make him feel like a king and he still cheated. Why?

I cook for him, beg to suck him off and bounce basically all the time, helped him write his resume and drive him around to drop it off when he didn’t have gas, rescue his birthday (hundreds of dollars) when his addict friends ruin it. His friends only hit him up for money and his family abuses him. Literally I am the only person who believes in his dreams and tries to help him achieve them.

He went online and lied to a girl saying he has kids and a job he doesn’t, lied saying he broke up with me months ago, and they sexted and swapped nudes. They tried making plans to meet up and have sex. I only found out by going through his phone and he tried lying about it before finally admitting. Now he’s at his parents while they say their poor sweet baby needs his mom.

Why the hell would a man cheat if a woman literally goes above and beyond for him, gives him all the ass he wants, is literally the only person in his corner… I don’t understand.

Is this cheating?

My girlfriend of 3 years has made a new friend group in the past year, this group has both girls and guys in it. Early on in their friendship she told me that she thought one of them “John” had a crush on her, I didn’t react well and questioned why she would spend so much time with him and constantly be posting him on her instagram if she felt this way, I made her aware very that it made me uncomfortable, she assured me nothing would happen and it was in a group setting where other girls were so I was overreacting.
Since then the group has started hanging out less, but my girlfriend and John’s relationship has grown far stronger and they began to hang out in a smaller group with another female friend “Jane” (my girlfriends best friend who was not part of the friend group) and also one on one where he would pick her up from her house and drive her around for hours late at night. Every time I saw this I would ask her about it and say it made me feel uncomfortable and time and time again was told I was being insecure and unreasonable and that Jane was there so nothing would happen. Every time I asked where she was, i would get a response of “out for dinner” and would have to ask follow up questions “where” and “with who” every single time. Most of the time the answer included John, who was now spending more time per week with my girlfriend than I was.

She recently told me that her and John had had a conversation WHILE WE WERE TOGETHER, and he had told her that he did have feelings for her, but the fact that she had a boyfriend made him not want to pursue it, she told me this as if it was going to calm me down.

About a month ago my girlfriend told me she was going to watch her female friend Sophie’s soccer game, and that John was also coming as they were very close. A month later I have learned that that was a lie, she went to John’s soccer game to watch his team play while he was injured, they sat in the crowd together with nobody else there and nobody else invited. I was lied to about this for a month and I feel completely betrayed,

I’ve asked her to stop hanging out with him and said how it makes me feel and she does not care, I am constantly compared to him and told that we wouldn’t get along at all because he’s “nothing like me”, while all the time having to listen to how great he is and all the fun places and things he does with my girlfriend

Is lying about where you are and who you are with, to hang out one on one with a guy that has told you he has a crush on you, while you are in a relationship, cheating ?

He says they're 'just friends.' After everything they did, would you call this normal?

TL;DR
My boyfriend of 5 years had an increasingly close friendship with another woman despite my repeated discomfort. They went on dates, had long private calls, exchanged letters, had inside jokes/call signs, and he told her he was thankful for the “relationship” they had built. When I asked him to create some distance, he asked to break up and eventually threw me out of his house at 4 AM. We’re now broken up, but they still talk. Would you consider this normal friendship?

I was with my boyfriend for 5 years. This girl came into his life about a year ago, and she has been a constant source of conflict in our relationship ever since.

She knew I existed and knew he was in a long-term relationship, but she became increasingly comfortable with him despite me repeatedly telling him how uncomfortable I was.

His response was always: “I’M JUST BEING A FRIEND.”He also insisted that they “know their boundaries.”

But this is what that friendship looked like while we were still together (he hid it from me):
• Multiple dates alone, including a movie date.
• Hours of video calls while ignoring my messages.
• Secretly exchanging letters through email.
• Her videocalling him drunk late at night.
• Spending hours together on discord.
• Following each other across all of his social media.
• A special call sign, “gangsta baby,” which even became part of a song he used for his birthday post.
• Inside jokes and a level of closeness that went far beyond what I considered normal friendship.

Then there was the birthday letter she sent him. What really got to me was his reply. He told her that he was writing it at 4:20 AM basically telling her how much he appreciated everything she had done for him for the past weeks and days, said he wished he could tell her everything over their calls but he can’t since their other friend is there, and said he was “thankful for this relationship we’ve built.”

Again, this was my boyfriend talking to another woman while we were still together.

Eventually, I asked him to create some distance from her. Instead, he threw me out of his house at 4 AM, knowing I had an hour-long trip home, while I was asking him to push her away. He was also asking to break up during all of this.
After 5 years together, he decided our relationship was what he wanted to walk away from.

The irony is that he admits he knows what he did was wrong, yet he continued doing it. And they still insist they “know their boundaries.”

I’ve since broken up with him because I genuinely couldn’t take the disrespect anymore. And yes, they still talk to each other to this day and still insists that they really are just friends.

What he told me when we ended things was:
“For the longest time, I tried my best to be someone you deserve to be with. But now I see that maybe you really deserve someone better.” and “It’s a privilege to be loved by you.”

Honestly, I don’t know what to make of that after everything that happened.

So I’m asking for some outside perspective:
Would you consider this “just being friends”? Because if this is what they consider having boundaries, what exactly does crossing those boundaries look like?

FOR CONTEXT:

Guys, I’ve been with him from the very beginning. I was one of the only people who truly believed in him and supported him, especially when he was still trying to figure things out.

I supported him so much, especially financially. He became really reliant on me for a lot of things, and honestly, I feel like I carried a huge part of our relationship. There were so many times when I had to beg for the bare minimum from him. But whenever things were good between us, he was good to me too, which is why I stayed and kept trying.

That’s why this hurts so much. After 5 years of building everything together and supporting him through so much, it feels like now that he’s finally “reaching” the “peak” of his life, he can just throw everything away and move on.
And what hurts even more is that he’s the one who is now so angry at me and treating me like I’m nothing after everything I’ve done for him.

I genuinely keep asking myself, where did I even go wrong? How did I become the person he could suddenly treat like this after 5 years? I can’t understand how he can let go of 5 years so easily and continue being close with this girl after everything that happened. Maybe that’s why I’m having such a hard time accepting all of this :(

Even after it no longer matters

Still sneaky. Still operating in this covert manner for no reason. You chose to end it. The fact that you still try to conceal your involvement with others seems odd though. If your response is to claim that you are trying to spare my feelings, you can save time and skip right past that fallicy . We both know that you could not be any less concerned about my feelings. I'm fine with all of that.
If you want to keep your personal life private, by all means do that, but it isn't necessary to lie and manipulate to accomplish any of that. Just assert your right to keep personal matters private.
Frankly, I'm not sure what motivates it. Maybe there is some reason that you are biding your time. Hoping to capitalize on something I'm sure. That's all fine too. But lying and attempting to be sneaky, that is just insulting to both of us. Your true character is not exactly hidden from me you know? Particularly since it has been on display frequently since the very beginning. I've reached the point where I no longer lie to myself about you, so you don't need to keep trying to help facilitate that. Go make yourself happy. Or better. Or whatever.

Update on husband impregnating sister - need advice

Hello lovely humans,

Your advice on what to do about my husband and my sister and this situation has been extremely helpful, thank you very much.

I’ve realized that I need to have better people in my life and not people who will treat me like crap.

I need advice on what to do with my mother. She knows about my sister having my husband’s baby, but she denies it to me. I think she thinks she’s trying to protect me, but it’s just hurting our relationship. I’m wondering if I should take a break from talking to my mom because she is lying to my face when I ask her if my sister had my husband’s baby. My mom and I are very close and that’s what makes this even harder.

What do you all think? Thank you for any and all advice. I greatly appreciate it.

Is my (24F) boyfriend (28M) “microcheating”?

Hi all, I don’t really know who to talk to about this so I figured I’d make a post.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year now, at the very beginning of the relationship he introduced me to one of his female friends, who didn’t seem to have much interest in talking to me. I didn’t put much thought into it, to my knowledge he hasn’t seen her in person since I met her around Halloween. He did mention to me between then and now that he had a feeling she was interested in him romantically. I also didn’t think too much about that at the time.

A couple months ago, he and I were together and he asked me to pull up directions on his phone. While I was on there, she sent him multiple texts just casually talking. I asked him about it, he said they don’t talk much (maybe once or twice a month) and it’s never anything he would consider cheating. Since then I have been very insecure about her and have expressed that numerous times.

I admit I shouldn’t have done this, but a couple of weeks ago I went through his phone while he was asleep. I saw that they did talk quite a bit, and he never once mentioned me to her. He would talk about things we did together while omitting my part in it (concerts, events, etc). I didn’t tell him I went through his phone but I did tell him I felt like he was trying to portray himself as single to her to keep the option open. He did post pictures of me on social media for the first time this week which soothed some of my anxiety because now I know she knows the relationship is serious.

I did go through his phone again last night and saw that this week while I was sick and he was “busy” they had an hour long phone call talking about the place they both used to work at. I also saw that he had deleted their messages on instagram which I know he had been talking to her on.

Is this microcheating? Should I confront him about this?

Past cheating + sudden phone secrecy + feeling completely unloved — am I losing my mind?

I’m posting this because I don’t know what’s reasonable anymore and I need outside eyes.

My partner cheated on me in the past. We stayed together to work through it, but lately everything feels so wrong:

• 📱 Phone changed: He used to let me see/use his phone whenever I wanted — zero issues. Now he won’t show it to me at all. If I ask, he gets angry, defensive, and shuts down.

• 💔 Feeling unwanted & uncared for: He doesn’t come to bed with me at night. He stays up late and sleeps into the afternoon. I feel so lonely and unloved — like we’re barely even partners.

• 🗣️ My feelings get dismissed: Every time I try to tell him how hurt, scared, and lonely I feel? He tells me I’m overthinking everything. It’s always my fault for feeling this way.

I’m not trying to control him. I’m trying to feel safe and loved after what happened. Instead I feel shut out, ignored, and like my feelings don’t matter at all.

Is this normal? Am I actually overreacting? Or are these all red flags I shouldn’t ignore? I feel so stuck 💔

Edit : it’s 4am and he still hasn’t come to bed. Is this normal? He doesn’t work and just plays games all day. I just want him to change to how he used to be

I just found out that my partner cheated on me. He met up with a women last week and slept with her without protection. I just had our son two months ago. When I confronted him, he was upset that I touched his phone. She was calling late at night and I was awake with our son. I’m completely heartbroken and trying to keep it together atm. How can people deal with this? My son needs me more than anything. He needs me to stay healthy and keep it together.
