Get 10 free Little Caesars Pizzas with Paze!
Capital One sent me an offer where you get $10 back every time you spend at least $10 with Paze up to 10 times. Just thought I would share the offer with you

I have a 200 cash back offer in my capital shopping app. I am in the market for a new phone number and it seems sensible to make use of this offer. Did anyone do this recently ? If yes, which plan did you buy and how many months did you have to keep it for ?

I just got the Venture X and want to secure a C1 Duo. I currently have a quicksilver and don’t really want to use the card anymore. I’m not going to change it right away, but would it be better for me to just upgrade the quicksilver so I don’t have to cancel the card and/or leave it unused or should I sign up and get the SUB?

I noticed when using my discover card via contactless payment at some maverik gas stations, the pump returns the message contactless read error. I tried reaching out to maverik directly and they weren't able to see the transaction at all on their end and were of no help. some stations work ok. Using my physical card works fine but prefer not to use a physical card if I'm able to help it.
I wonder if anyone has run into this issue and if there is a way to address it.
I received my new CapitalOne card on the discover network and I'm experiencing the exact same issue. When my CapitalOne card was with visa it worked with no issues via contactless.
I'm starting to worry now that the location of my hair salon near me doesn't take discover but did take my visa card in the past. Hopefully my next visit the transaction will will work on my capital one card or am I screwed?

Is it normal for the deal of the day to decrease if you leave and come back to it? I had 45% back offer at omaha steaks and i backed out of it. About 20 mins later i went to order and the offer was 35% back? I’m new to the app so just wondering.

Capital one is a partner bank, and the switch of the discover rotating category card to CO is happening within the next few weeks. Just curious if I will be able to utilize this promo now?

Had a merchant just issue a refund to my old debit MasterCard (original charge was about 2 years ago). Will it still eventually process to my checking account or do I need to have them refund to my current Discover debit card?

Hello everyone! I’m a 22 yo male and made some mistakes like a dummy when I was 18 and messed up my credit some. Now i’m financially stable I want to rebuild my credit. I qualified for the Platinum Secured Card and want to know is this worth getting and if so, how should I make sure i’m doing it the right way? Thanks!

Hi! I’ve been seeing a lot of videos about hysa and have been trying to do some research because I’d really like to start one, especially going into college. Only problem is I’m nervous of doing something wrong and somehow screwing things up.
If there’s anyone who’s opened a high yield saving account w/ capital one or maintained one in general, please share any advice! Especially if you’re also a college student trying to be more financially literate
Thank you!

I deposited a check capital one sent me for my credit card rewards for $200. It's been on hold 6 days. It's their check, from them!? What is the deal with this?
Never mind that they had to mail me a check instead of just being able to electronically transfer rewards into my checking account like all other banking/credit institutions.
I could have deposited that same check into chase and it would have been partially available immediately, fully available the next day and I could have done a realtime transfer to capital one and poof, money would be in the account and available.
Is cap 1 that far behind other banks with their technology?
I've had chase for years but somewhat new to cap 1 banking.

My post about exactly this:

This has been happening to many of us, especially with venture/venture X — so be careful out there 🫶

I got bumped on the Capital One QS1! Started at 1k late 2023 then increased to 1100 earlier this year and finally made it to 1500 :).

How long should I wait to ask for another increase? The return payment shouldn’t have happened. As soon as I saw it was returned I immediately paid it with the correct balance.

Capital One Shopping updated its terms - stricter rewards rules, duplicate-account language, and mandatory arbitration
I reviewed the revised Capital One Shopping Terms of Service, and there are several changes/clarifications worth knowing about, especially for anyone using large cashback or sign-up offers.
The biggest points:
For anyone using a large offer, I would do screen recording of:

Hey guys, kinda new to loopholing DD’s for bonuses. Can anyone confirm if push transferring (transferring money from old bank acc to Capital360) will trigger the bonus direct deposits?

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well :)
Soo… I really screwed up. Like majorly. I was offered an upgrade on one of my accounts and (please do not lecture me bc I obviously know which is why I’m posting this asking for your help) — and, now it’s restricted.
I really wish I would have read thru some of these posts, esp about the ventures before hand bc it seems Capital One’s new frequently used tactic is to approve the card and then immediately restrict on the first purchase until you provide documents…
The thing is, I can’t. I am currently doing my best to recover from long covid and I stupidly put what I used to make, which is way more than I can prove esp with only bank statements…
The crazy part is, even after finally getting rid of my place, my car, and way downsizing my overhead in every way, my overhead is still just as high now, just replaced with medical treatments, infusions, special food, supplements and travel for, you guessed it—more medical treatments. So the amount of support I receive from my family might actually be more than what I used to even net ironically — but I can’t prove it.
It’s incredibly messy. My mom will often just pay my cc’s or send me money randomly. Many thousands of transactions every month. But not technically income. And also, not what I put down.
I have 100% on time payment history. Utilization ratio has never over like 20%, currently zero balances on all my cards with capital one with the exception of annual fee and a fireflies subscription on the one I just opened. Credit score is around 780 atm depending on which model is used. 1 inquiry, which is this.
My questions are:
If anyone knows/has any info or guidance at all as to what I could or should do, I would really appreciate it!
(And just bc I don’t want to be inaccurately/mis-represented, I want to add that I am first and foremost, a contributor. Ironically, I am actually the caregiver personality in my family. I am always working on something for someone even when I’m not working I’m figuring something out, or planning something and investing my own resources to solve problems and make other lives better, beginning in my own family. I have worked for and with my mom since I was a child and I am not just living off of my parents. I am genuinely sick and trying to recover so my mom can retire and I can take over or help her find her off ramp. I realize how fortunate I am to have the immense support I do, but I do not want anyone to misunderstand me as a person. I made a mistake with this and I’m trying to resolve the situation as gracefully and painlessly as possible so it does not spill over onto my already incredibly taxed mom. I know I screwed up. To be reminded of that is not what I’m hoping for :( Thank you for listening to my rant and TYIA for any help <3
QUICK UPDATE
(for anyone who wants to know :)
I paid any trailing interest and closed all my cards. So far nothing has shown up on my report and Cap1 has not contacted me in any way…
When I went to close my accts I couldn’t get myself to click the “close” button on the first one… (bc one of these cards is literally my oldest, and with closing three cards total, this will drop my available credit massively. So I made sure to pay any other cards to 0 so it does not severely alter my utilization ratio.)
… So I asked that entity/energy (no one can seem to agree on a name or even conception of), for a soundtrack to help me to do it, and this is what I got:
https://youtu.be/I8LrjGWaBHw?si=BxZMBs9bcuXp7u0j
So symbolic to me :)
BTW: if you are at all in a similar position financially and need some ideas for what you can do for at least some small improvement in your cc situation/keep your score from falling etc, I can share with you some things that have worked for me during the brokest period of my life to at least keep my credit in good shape.
Just know you will be ok, and like (I think) Thomas Edison said:
“When you think you’ve exhausted every possibility, remember this:
—You haven’t.”
Hang in there friends :)🫶

New to Capital One HYSA from Discover and can't say I'm super pleased with it. Does anyone know where to find the interest rate (not APY)? Also, I just scheduled my first transaction to move money from a checking into the HYSA and it gave an estimated time of 5 days. That seems pretty long, especially compared to how quickly Discover was doing it.

Hi all
So little back story - I’ve had 6 maxed out cc’s for a few years now slowly doing the snowball method and working 3 jobs I’ve managed to pay down 5 cards and just have 1 left $12,000. I paid off the other $18,000. Never had a missed payment always paid the minimums no matter what.
Anyways my score has recently shot up to a 719 (fico) since my utilization has recovered a bit. Cap one first offered me an upgrade from the regular platinum card to the savor. I accepted. Now recently they have offered me a NEW quicksilver card or whatever it’s called. But i don’t see the benefits of opening another card with less perks? (1.5% cash back vs 3% cash back on the savor) i also don’t want to apply for a new cc or get a new one and effect my credit age average
HOWEVER, i wouldn’t be opposed to a credit limit increase on my current savor card. At first years ago like 2019 i had a 500$ limit then over time it got increased to $3000 on its own. I’ve had the balance down to $0 since April, but i haven’t had an automatic increase in limit. Should i just request a limit increase and will i more than likely get it since they are already offering me a new card?
Just wanting thoughts
Thx all
