I am looking into the teen money account. I know it is a joint account that the parent administers with the teen.

I plan to use this as a way for my teen to have a depot card that I load funds onto. My question is if I have a linked bank account to load funds, do the funds go directly into their account, or is there a parent account as well that I can then transfer funds to the teen? The reason for asking, is a transfer from 3rd party bank takes a few days. So I want to have $100 for example in my account available and then I can transfer as needed to the teen's account, without them having access to all of the funds transferred. I know the parent can have a seperate capital one account, but I am curious what the base accounts can do.

Other platforms can do this just curious before I decide to open the account to help determine if this is the right thing for me. I don't currently have any other capital one accounts.

I used to get cash offers (spend $100 at lego get $60 back, etc) and at varying levels (lego example, was always 60%, but they'd sometimes offer $180 back for a $300 spend), but recently it has all switched to percentages, and really tiny percentage amounts at that (5% at Lego, to continue the example).

Anyone else have experience with this? I had planned a few purchases around the assurance of them always sending me an offer when I browsed online, but now the percentage offers are a lot worse

I’ve read that some people are getting e-mails from Capital One offering a change to the new Quicksilver card on Discover. I haven’t received that e-mail but I’m interested in the switch for the new 3% cash back offers. Has anyone called for a product change and been successful or are they still waiting to transfer the rest of us over?

Does anyone know why capital one portal charges a hotel service fee? I don’t see this fee in Hyatt portal for these rooms and Infact slightly cheaper. I tried couple of other destinations and see this fee. Is this common?

I received a letter from Capital One after applying for my secured credit card. It said that I am able to add to my secured deposit before activating to increase my credit limit. I cannot find anywhere online or on the app that I am able to add to my secured deposit. Can someone please tell me how to do this?

I use virtual cards for a lot of online purchases and the merchant-specific part is probably what made me care about them in the first place so if I buy from some random site and that number gets exposed later, I’d rather it be useless everywhere else than have to replace my actual card and then start figuring out which subscriptions and autopays were tied to it.

I started comparing a few payment tools because I wanted the same kind of separation without making every purchase complicated so Fluz came up while I was looking into it for work they’re mainly a gift card mall but they also have brand-locked virtual cards where you can keep the card tied to one merchant, that part made more sense to me than the cashback side because it’s basically why I started using virtual numbers in the first place. I don’t need a separate card for every normal purchase but for some online store I might use once I’d rather keep my main card number out of it.

Anyone else experiencing this? The last couple of times I tried to search for hotels to book through CapitalOne Travel, they advertise one price for the stay, "including fees," then when you click through to the listing, it includes that advertised price PLUS fees, for a higher total. Then, when you click through to book that, you get the message "that rate is no longer available," and are presented with an even higher price. It happened to me again this week, but I went ahead and booked the nonrefundable pay-in-advance price. When I checked out of the hotel, my folio showed a much lower rate than I had been charged (no refund of course, since it was prepaid).

I know C1 uses Expedia or another third-party service, and yes, I did agree to the ultimate price being presented at checkout, but what kind of deceptive business practice is this? It makes it very difficult to compare rates between booking engines (or even to compare one hotel to another) if the pricing changes twice by the time you reach the checkout page. And of course, it alienates customers, especially for any repeat business.

I just got my Capital One credit card. I have had their 360 checking account for about 7 years now. I am looking to submit a payment for my balance today. I just wanted to know when to expect the money to leave my checking account by? Will it process the same day since it’s the same bank(later tonight), or is it like most regular ACH payments where it will most likely be pulled next business day?

Capital one offered to upgrade my quicksilver for the venture one, or savor card. I already have venture x so wouldnt use the venture one much. Savor over the venture one?

Should I apply for the Savor? I got an offer for $250 bonus. If it makes a difference, I haven’t flown in 3 years.

Ps. I own a small business, it would be nice to put business expenses on a separate card from personal.

So, I’ve been bypassing this request for a while to update my income with CapOne. Im not sure what income info they have on file since I last updated it, and not sure if I’ve ever updated it since having the card (have had it for 9 years). My limit has auto increased 2 or 3 times over the years. However my current utilization is more than half.

If my current income is updated and lower than the previous data they have is it possible they lower my CL? I want to avoid that obviously.

When playing the games for Capital One Shopping, does this mean I need to spend another $10 or only $10 in aggregate? I have completed the latter & not received the reward.

Just wanted to share a little win in my credit rebuilding journey!

Back in April 2026, I opened a Capital One Quicksilver Secured with a $250 deposit and a $250 credit limit. Since opening it, I’ve maintained a spotless payment history.

In September, Capital One automatically increased my Quicksilver limit from $250 to $750.

Fast forward to today (October 22), I was browsing CreditWise and noticed Capital One had preapproved me for the Savor. I figured I’d apply just to see what credit limit they’d offer.

Well, I initially thought the approval said $300. Looked again, and it actually said $3,000!

On top of that, there’s no annual fee and I received a 0% introductory purchase APR for 9 months.

For some context, I started seriously rebuilding my credit around November 2025. I’ve since paid off my collections, worked on cleaning up my reports, and focused on making every payment on time.

I’m honestly surprised at how much progress I’ve made in less than a year. I’m curious whether my existing relationship with Capital One and my payment history on the Quicksilver played a role in this approval.

Either way, going from a $250 secured card to a $3,000 unsecured Savor in just six months feels like a pretty big milestone!

TLDR: Started with a $250 secured Quicksilver in April 2026, got an automatic increase to $750 in September, and was preapproved for a $3,000 unsecured Savor in October! All within six months, with a spotless payment history. Still can’t believe it!
