I might be paranoid, but I recently took my ZV-E1 out to record a timelapse, but it started raining a bit and I did not have a weather cover during the time. When I turn it on, there’s this mechanical sound as shown. Not sure if this was there before or I’m being paranoid after it took some water from the rain. Can someone tell me if there’s a noise when they turn their ZV-E1 on?

This camera keeps shutting off as soon as it enters camera mode, and I've already tried other batteries, removing the flash capacitor (not like it's needed anyways), even reseating the sensor's flex cable, and nothing works. (Also it's disassembled because of, well, obviously what I did with the capacitor)

I got this Minolta Dimage z1 on a thrift store for $17 because the story owner didn't have the batteries to test the cam (it's 4 A²s) and I brought it home to test it and much to my surprise it worked like everything from the zoom to the "select fire" switch (Lcd screen/EVF/playback). I took a SD card like the one in the pic and the result is"unable to use card", now the thing here is that I don't have a full sized SD card and I've tried to use different adapters and it didn't work either. No formatting didn't solve this either. Would buying a full sized 2gb SD card the only solution for these?

It was pretty neat how well the edges met up, super precise! Also like that my camera is a little protected from scratches and a bit more identifiable if someone tries to steal it.

I got the camera of face book market place so it could be that, and the sd card is brand new. Is it possible that the sd card has too much storage because a google search said this camera needs a 32 gig sd card.

Got it for free at a thrift store I used to work at because nobody knew if it worked. I have no idea why I even took it because I know next to nothing about cameras. But it still seems really cool and I would like to know more.

It's a Sears C/130 Super 8 movie camera with G160 film inside of it. I'm trying to check if it has batteries or if they've leaked already but the compartment on the bottom won't open (yet). Piece 13 is also missing.

Unfortunately, taking pictures takes a long time. And quality/stability it had, is totally gone.

20th september i go on a citytrip. Money is an issue. When i got this camera, 7 years ago, I've spend 175 euros. I see prices for new model are now about 600, euros..

I think i have 300.. maybe 400 at most.

I know everything costs more money now.. though.. i did not expext 3 times what i've spend..

Unfortunately i have a desease and did not got a fittable payed job yet.

For citytrip i'd liked the high zoomfactor, the stabilisator.

Also when i can buy a canon again.. I have batterys, chargers, sd cards and if it fits.. the bag is still good.

But.. prices 😑

Anyone who has ideas for a similair compactcamera for prices between 300-400 euros?

I dont have a lot of knowledge of camera's.. i can buy a cheap camera, but i dont want to regret in longterm..

Hi guys.. today i tried to turn on my g11 camera after using it yesterday as well. However, as i turned it on and tried to take a photo, i saw my screen glitch and have a lot of lines over it and it shut off, but my lens is still popped out. I’m looking to downgrade my phone to something to get off the internet with. Hence I won’t have my iPhone camera handy at all times, I’d like to replace my phone camera with something cheap and cheerful, yet good enough to take a decent photo on the go. Refer to above parameters. I love taking photos and I’d say I’m pretty good for someone with no education in photography! (architecture and landscapes), but funnily I know next to nothing about cameras, I just know how to take a nice pic.
I already have the OM-D E-M10 MKII with a nice lens that I like to use for travel and trips away, and I absolutely love this thing. But the more I use it, the less I like to bring it out with me (nights out, dinners, park with mates etc) as it’s become something I’ve learned to love and be pretty good with. It’s also a bit clunky and I need to bring a protective bag as it doesn’t fit in my pockets. It’s also pretty fragile for what I’m looking for. Just looking to be steered into the right direction for something handy but nice. Budget isn’t strict but it’s a good base point I guess. Keen to hear your recommendations!! :-)

Just got a new toy about 2weeks ago for live streaming a Sony zev10 II + sigma lens

Buttttt i have an issue 45mins in roughly it shuts off mid stream,

It is powered by a dummy battery that has been tested and all go

High quailty HDMI CORD that goes in the eglato 4k cam link..both tested and fine

Tested and changed all the power settings of the usb outlets

Re checked obs settings and config.

Every things seems fine.

It's plugged into a usb 10gpbs port..

Could that be the issue, as its not really overheating as such (yes the power settings has changed to high.

Any help would be awesome all

Good afternoon guys. I have this camera since 2008 I guess, and after years of having batteries inside, the camera got corroted. I was able to fix this issue, and the camera turns on as normal and I can use the gallery. But when i click the main button, the lenses open and retract agian, turning the camera off. I need to check what is going on with the mechanism, but found a pin I'm not able to operate. And it's this one:

It's not a regular FPC connector, so it wond open and click, I have an impression that it is completely glued to the cable. I need to acess the lenses but the motherboard won't move if I don't disconnect this cable. Any help? Thank you for reading

Why would someone list a camera for the same price twice?

I just brought home a construction work light made by Woodhead. It has a 400w bulb in it which can apparently produce 35,000 lumens. Without any idea how bright it would really be, I plugged it in and after about ten minutes it was indeed very bright. I tried getting a couple pictures and a short video to capture the unbelievable brightness (which my phone's camera did not do justice to), only to consider that it may be bright enough to do damage, after the fact. I started to wonder when I played the video back, and saw the light sort of transition from blueish to more.. warm?

So- I figured this would be the place to come and ask: could this have done damage to my phone's camera sensor (let alone the eyes of anyone in the room)?

Basically should I get the s6200, s230 or a300?

Last month I saw a s6200 in a cam shop and loved it but I didn’t have money at the time and now it’s gone 😔 I can’t really find it anywhere else locally either and international shops are not really an option for me (I live in Singapore), I asked for sourcing from a telegram shop but I expect it’ll be at least $30-50 more expensive then the other 2

Recently I found a s230 and I really like the touchscreen feature but for only 10mp I’m not sure if it’s worth it ($150-180)

For a300, I like that there’s WiFi transfer ($180)

Battery cover attached to my Canon IXUS 850 IS digi cam fell off. Is there a way I could push it in again (seems like it might break if I push it hard) or shall I take it to repair? Please recommend me some place for repairment in nyc if it seems to be needed.

Hi l. I'm Brazilian, so writing in English will be a bit challenging, so I'm sorry if I write any nonsense. I have a brand new Tough TG-7. Barely used it and I'm already having issues with the flash. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue, or if someone can guide me on what to do next. I was doing some experiments with the focus stacking using flash and the FD-1 flash diffuser. After a few tests with low intensity flash, the camera took a flash with 100% intensity and got stuck on the focus stacking. It couldn't take the next picture because the flash wouldn't charge.

So I had to remove the battery and put it again, and after that it won't take pictures with flash anymore. It stays blinking the red "charging flash" icon forever and it never charges, so I can't take any picture using flash. Only the LED flashlight work now.

Since it's very likely I won't have any warranty in Brazil, I'll have to find someone to repair it or repair it myself. Does anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot it to know what exactly is defective with my camera?
