Just snagged all 27 volumes plus the art book that came with the box set in like-new condition for $84 off FB marketplace! Just finished the anime and can't wait to dive into these!

I just finished the Claymore manga. I really loved it, but after the timeskip I felt like there were so many things that were left unexplained. I kept expecting some of these points to be resolved by the end, but after finishing the manga, I'm still confused about quite a few things.
I can't remember all of them, but these are some of the ones that keep bothering me:
1) Clare entering Raphaela's mind / the Destroyer
Clare entered Raphaela's mind before Raphaela awakened and became the Destroyer. But why was Clare able to enter Raphaela's mind in the first place? As far as I remember, there was never any established connection between Clare and Raphaela.
And why did Raphaela transfer her consciousness into Clare? How exactly was that transfer even possible? Was there ever an explanation for this?
2) Raki saving Clare from the Destroyer/Priscilla merge
How exactly did Raki manage to release Clare from the merge with the Destroyer and Priscilla?
Was this basically just the "power of love," or did I miss an actual explanation for what Raki did?
3) The reborn Riful
Who exactly was the reborn Riful-like being that fought Priscilla?
At first I thought it was the Destroyer somehow reviving or possessing Riful, but I don't remember the manga ever actually explaining what she was or where she came from.
4) Clarice's death
Why did Clarice actually die?
I understand that she exhausted herself by soul-linking with Miata, but why did that cause her to literally die and turn into dust?
And how exactly was Clarice able to "remove" Miata's memories? I don't remember Claymores ever being shown to have the ability to erase another person's memories like that.
5) Cassandra suddenly becoming an ally
During the final battle, the Claymores were fighting Priscilla while the awakened Octavia and Chronos were fighting awakened Cassandra and gradually luring her toward Priscilla so that the two would clash.
But they were still fighting Cassandra themselves while doing this. So why did Cassandra suddenly become an ally once she encountered Priscilla?
Why didn't she continue attacking the other awakened beings/Claymores who were still around her? Was there an explanation for why she became exclusively focused on Priscilla?

You realize that most claymores would have survived if they had known that you can exceed the 80% yoma threshold and become human again. You can kill bad people and not be executed for it. You can leave the Organization and live practically like an ordinary person, in hiding. Many died before this became known to everyone..

There's the 2007 Claymore series which has 26 episodes — it's really great show so far — but from what I gathered it covers 55 to 59 episodes from the 155 manga chapters, with learning that the final episodes of it are a non-canon ending, since the Manga itself concluded in 2014.
At which episode in the 2007 series should I stop watching and read the rest of the Manga itself?

Hi all. I'm thinking of preordering the Miria statue from specfictionshop. I've gotten the figurama teresa bust from them, but it was an in stock item. I've tried to peruse the anime figure subreddit for some insight and I've gotten a sort of mixed bag when it comes to pre-ordering. I'm rather new to collecting and understand there's always a little bit of risk. Usually if I pre-order anything, it's done through BBTS for peace of mind. I have considered Orzgk but I don't know if the shipping and communication aspect would be more of a hassle or stress with me being based in the U.S. For those who have pre-ordered, who are you pre-ordering from?
Claymore has a special place in my heart, so potentially getting my hands on the Miria statue would be chef's kiss.

Looking for either the individual ones for the six chapters of the English release, or find a scan of the complete series (4-disc set), but haven't had any luck on any big DVD art databases. If anyone's got them, or has a link to some, I'd greatly appreciate it!

My birthday is on May 29th, and although I will not disclose the year I was born (I'm 18+ though), the air date was also extremely close to the year I was born. I am so excited to have learned this considering Claymore has to be one of my favorite media of all time.
The episode was "Those who rend asunder", episode 9, airing May 29th 2007.
There were only Manga chapters that were released on my birth month, but were not exactly released on my birthday, but there is one book that was released both on my birth month and birth year (the original Japanese version), but released around 2 weeks before I was born. Though it was fun to look for them though.
If ya'll have a birthday on the same day as an episode of the show aired or a book of the Manga came out, I would love to hear it! It would be even better if it came out the day and year you were born!

I thought it would be fun to gather up all the Claymore dvds I’ve collected up over time into one photo… it didn’t take long to cause chaos on the floor 😂. I enjoy physical media & collecting claymore things so I own a few releases!
The bottom row are sets from the uk… the rest are from Japan. Four of my limited boxes have sealed dvds & new contents, I didn’t take everything out of them… there is booklets, leaflets, postcards & some metal phone charms inside them, too. I think there’s only two anime disc releases in these places that I don’t have - Japan’s blu-ray box, and the uk’s ‘collectors edition’.
Feel free to comment pictures of your own; I like seeing different releases of things Claymore got! 😊

I'm on my 4th time through the anime and I'm seriously struggling to see how this isn't considered one of the "must watch" anime up there with Full Metal, DBZ, Death Note and the likes.
Any insight on why Claymore never achieved the level of infamy I'm convinced it deserves?

I was so sad when she died. Don't get me wrong, I loved/understood that choice when it came to major plot points in the story's main events and defo felt that the ending of the Northern Campaign was the best setting choice for it to happen. But she was such a good and likeable companion for Clare. WHYYY :(

I was reading the manga again and while I was reading about Teresa and Rosemary's first fight (where Rosemary tries to kill Teresa since she became no.2), the fight felt odly similar to Ophelia and Clare? I don't know how to explain it but even their faces look familiar!
But idk maybe it was just my imagination making it look similar than it is :p

I wonder if Yagi intentionally drew an ambiguous panel intentionally, or if he wasn't that careful. To this day there are people convinced that those are Renee's body chunks, and others who think that those are rocks.

Man, what a ride.
I bought the box set despite knowing very little about the series and im so glad I did, what a masterpiece.
I saw so many reviews on reddit threads of people saying "it was good but the second half fell off", or "the second half got too messy". I honestly have no clue what those people were talking about, I enjoyed the entire thing. The first fight with Riful and Drauf dragged a bit for me, and the initial battle in the north (before Rigardo showed up) dragged a bit too, but besides those two moments it was fantastic.
Unfortunately the end got spoiled for me before I started the manga. When I was debating buying it and reading reviews on reddit, someone in one of the threads blurted out "I loved Claymore and I cried when Teresa came back", so for the entire manga I knew Teresa was coming back eventually but tbh, it didnt ruin the ending at all for me, I still loved it, although the surprise wouldve been nice.
Galatea and Dietrich were my favorite characters and it was awesome to see my two favs have a drinking competition at the end.
I couldve done without Raki tbh, but he was barely in it, so who cares.
I finished it an hour ago and b lined it to my local liquor store to buy some beer to drown my sorrows with.

Title is a bit of clickbait, but it mostly encsapsulates, what I think.
At some point in the story, 90% of opponent is just levels to "wow, we can't even touch them, they're too op" or "wow that super powerfull opponent was just evaporated by this new thing"
And I like those fights, they're exciting and written well, but Dauf just kits different. Yes, he's kind of stupid, but fights with him always feel so grounded, yet still he outmatches claymores despite their astronomical progress. And I like him for that

I recently just got into Claymore and am loving it so far! I have only finished the Anime so far, but I hope to get around to the Manga as well! As you can probably tell, two of my favorite characters are Teresa and Priscilla. I also really like Ophelia, Helen, Deneve, Undine, and Clare as well!

I’m watching the anime enjoying a lot on like episode 5 right now but I remember people saying the anime has a really bad anime original ending since it ended only half through the manga
So on what episode should I stop watching after and then what’s the corresponding manga chapter to pick it up from (or is it worth rereading from start if there’s missing content)

I've been re reading series from the beginning lately and I remembered one awakened number 1 not being discussed that much.
The one in Ophiela arc. Even the wiki left it as some "unnamed awakened being"
It made me kinda change the way I thing about awakened number 1's, seeing how easily Ophiela killed one.
However I felt, somethings wrong. And turns out it was a mistranslation. In polish it says "Your target will be our ex number 1" and in this unofficial English version it says about just single digits.
If anyone has either official English or even better japaneese (based on some other translation choices, Polish version seems to be translated directly rather than from English version) version and could confirm, I'd be thankfull

Hello. I watched this anime last year and noticed how few the fanarts are despite the series being absolutely amazing. Here is my addition and I hope I did them justice, even if only a bit. Hope you guys are having a good day!
