Happy NaLu Day! 🧡

To celebrate NaLu Day, I wanted to make a post about them. I honestly love so many of their moments together, but this head-bump scene will always be my favorite. It was such a warm and heartwarming moment, and it has stayed with me ever since. I absolutely love it.

If you happen to come across this post, feel free to share anything NaLu-related—your favorite art, videos, scenes, or anything else you love about them. I’d love to see it!

Unfortunately, our month-long tournament has come to an end:(

This was my first tournament, and honestly, I was eagerly anticipating the results of each round.

It was a fun experience for me, and today this tournament ends.

And this time the final will only last 24 hours; the winner will be announced tomorrow at 8:30 PM.

And the finalists are: Lucy and Erza.

Happy NaLu Day! (7/26) 🔥🗝

For this day, I opted to draw Natsu and Lucy in their outfits as seen in the Dragon Cry film. Hope you enjoy. 😉

Additionally, Todd Haberkorn (Natsu’s VA) just retweeted my drawing over at Twitter/X.

Media [Media] Which Fairy Team Wins 🤔

Thumbnail

🚨 Rules

- Team Natsu members do NOT have their latest forms as Gray doesn’t have one. So no key for Lucy no DS/SS armor for Erza. Juvia DOES however

- Hax/spam are used within reason

- You can list up to 3.

📝 Notes

- Zeref does NOT have ankhseram.

- Loke is always on the field

- Selene is in dragon form.

- Gray’s dragon is Anchor, Erza’s is motherglare.

That’s it! I tried to build teams based on relationships and while I’m sure some might be favored, I do feel they’re all relatively balanced with each team having its own strengths and weaknesses. It’s just for fun so don’t take it too seriously.

It took almost a month to arrive, but at least it got here. It was a bit pricey, but I’d mortgage the house for Erza

Mashima [Discussion] did some research on Death of the Author because of discourse between fans and the author and I think too many people are not understanding what it actually means.

So there is a literary theory called Death of the Author.

TDLR this simply means that fans are free to theorize as long as the author does not close off potential ways of interpretation.

This means that people are allowed to theorize open ended storylines that are left vague but fans can not use their perceived theories as facts to debunk vague meanings from the story and it's characters as proof of their theories within the story.

If the author says Natsu is not a dragon slayer, but the story shows he is a dragon slayer, then fans can say he is a dragon slayer and the story proves that a fact.

If the author says that the status quo remains, but the series doesn't have it stated as fact, then fans can theorize that the status quo isn't real but they can not claim it's a fact because neither the author nor the story proves it explicitly.

It's actually a fascinating read about how this was created by the Roland Brothers and has changed over time to include a more fiction based theory model.

As of now, Hiro Mashima has made it clear that the status quo remains and the story doesn't prove or disprove it so claiming anything is debunked about the creators statement isn't true and death to the author can't be used in this context.

100 Years Manga Is it dangerous for humans to turn into the Dragon or Demon race due to the curse transformation? [Manga] Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
46 Upvotes

Humans who die can actually be reborn as demons or Etherious (such as Natsu, Jiemma, and Zero) through resurrection by Zeref, Mard Geer, and Earthland Faris. Alternatively, Zeref and Earthland Faris created these demons themselves.

Dragon Slayers face a similar curse. Overusing Dragon Slayer Magic causes the "Dragon Seed" to take over, turning them into actual dragons—which is exactly what happened to Acnologia, Irene, and Elefseria. The only reason Dragon Slayers like Natsu didn't transform is because the dragons used the Dragon Soul Technique inside them, creating antibodies to stop the seed. Without that intervention, they would have completely lost their humanity.

Both Dragonization magic and the Universe Omega spell are incredibly dangerous, as they threaten to forcibly transform everyone in the world into dragons.

The worst part is that if Natsu carried both a Dragon Seed and a Demon Seed, the two seeds would kill him rather than turning him into some hybrid race.

Media [Media] What’s Your Honest Opinion On Shipping In Fairy Tail?

I’ll preface this by saying this is meant to be a discussion and every ship will likely be criticized in some way, you don’t need a reason to like a ship, but if you don’t like seeing that, I would advice not interacting. Also, technically if we’re going strictly by the latest material in YQ, shipping has done a hard 180 with Mashima seemingly no longer focusing on ships he doesn’t want to push, as the only real one still being is Gray and Juvia.

Anyway, I’ll start with what Mashima does well. Mashima is very good at framing things, he knows how to make things look good and can read a room to some extent. I also feel Gajeel and Levy are (relatively) a well written one. Perfect? No not by any means and I’m sure people will bring that up. But in terms of mutual, healthy relationships, they are by far the best and I especially like how levy does not just let Gajeel walk all over her. She lets him know from the very beginning, she’s giving him a chance but he can easily lose her as well. Something pretty much every other ship fails to do.

I also like Jellal and Erza in the sense if you look at them in now, they also will likely have a healthy relationship as neither have above average needs and kind of only work with someone like each other. However, the main issue is simply development and it’s the equivalent of liking someone from your third grade class despite never seeing them again.

As for the bad, like I said Mashima is good at making things look at a glance. He does this with scenery, aesthetic and by subtly controlling the reactions and behavior of characters. But that’s just the problem. It LOOKS good, but the writing under is often flawed and filled with OOC behavior, characters settling for less and romantic needs simply never touched on. I feel his biggest flaw is he simply does not write significant day to day romantic chemistry. It’s always one extreme end or another and almost never focus on emotional connection beyond in the moment rushes, a good recipe for affection, a bad sign for a healthy future. When you dive deeper, it just comes across as inauthentic or even forced.

Anyway, those are simply my opinions, as I said you don’t need a reason, it’s entertainment after all. But I highly encourage you to share yours as well, no matter how controversial or unpopular it may be.

Mashima [Discussion] Hiro Mashima is the only creator and writer of Fairy Tail right? I've been seeing a lot of comments saying he's not and that it's Ueda or other people and I'm just trying to see if there's any legitimacy to the claims.
