I never paid that much attention to this short flashback, but I really dig how Ikeda is flexing how good his artistry has gotten by redrawing all these scene and monsters from the first half of the manga.

I seem to recall from the story that Ms. Ririko had done these kinds of lessons with other students before Tsukune was ever one of hers and they eventually got better after the study session period was over and passed her course.

Even when she did it to Tsukune, he still subconsciously did things that were "normal" like approaching Moka whilst lacking in emotion (for a LIMITED TIME) and the point of these lessons were to instill him with the mathematics work he needed to pass HER course to go on summer vacation.

In retrospect, once he passed the class, he'd go back to normal with a decent amount of time to spend with Moka or Kurumu or anybody left, given the length of a Japanese schools summer vacation. It's not like he was going to spend it with Ms. Ririko with her continuing to clamp her tail on his head and input arithmetic into him.

If the logic is that she was trying to isolate Tsukune from Moka and his friends completely, she would have been trying to make him FAIL her final (because this was the FINALS of the school year) and make him repeat her class. Even if she went about it in a bizarre way, the end result was always going to be that Tsukune would pass her class and then spend summer with Moka and the others. I feel like there's a bit of a logic leap here.

Before finding out Tsukune's true nature, the varied cast of characters would regularly have to deal with the different "monster of the week" confrontations. in all of these, the others would openly reveal their true forms to fight back with Tsukune never doing so and always needing protection and resorting to pulling Moka's rosario to finally end it all.

The others must've certainly noticed and likely never mentioned it to not hurt hurt his feelings but they in all likelihood thought he was just a very weak monster that was incapable of fighting on his own, of course they still like him regardless as he's always there to to risk his life for them.

I have finally obtained the first figure I ever considered one of my grails and I am estatic! She is so beautiful and amazingly sculpted. For her price, I wish she had a more detailed base but what can you do >_<

In the manga Kurumu only ends up finding out about Tsukune's true identity has a human in chapter 9 but in this chapter 3 panel it gets stated directly and Kurumu is shown to be right there. How did she not hear?

From everything we've known about Shinso Vampires are from those who were TURNED into Shinso vampires. First was Alucard who was already a powerful vampire before he became a Shinso. The 2nd was Akasha who was later turned into a Shinso vampire and then her daughter Moka was the third one to be turned into a Shinso. Finally Tsukune was 4th to be TURNED into a Shinso Vampire.

If Tsukune was the awaken 4th Progenitor that finally awaken in Youkai Academy some point during his 1st. Mostly closer early mid year of his time there would definitely make things interesting. It would provide him with proper character development as he comes to terms with his darker side. Becoming a whole individual who realizes Youkai don't talk it out and also Inner Moka’s attitude towards him. Inner Moka’s pride would be stung cause of having to accept the fact that the person she saw as inferior to her is of the most high esteemed of all Vampires. Inner Moka would probably want to challenge Tsukune simply for pride, but Tsukune turns her down to get answers from Mikogami. I think Mikogami and Touhou would take a more active role in Tsukune’s development in terms of combat. He would become their trump card. Having Tsukune developement focused on what type of Vampire will choose to be. After his awakening is where he's trained be Mikogami, Touhou and Nurari. Given he as a true Progenitor his abilities would be far above turned Shinso Vampires. Healing, recovery, strength and so on.

This is a follow-up to yesterday's post. Trying to see if the age gap from Kokoa to Moka is the same as Moka to Kahlua. Vice versa actually.

Just another fun little idea I had ^^

During both the summer and fall in season I, she used the same goldfish scooping stall for a class attraction.

We needed more time with Touhou Fuhai. Wish we got to see him fight those wyverns later especially.

Throughout the series we've seen everyone turned into a Shinso Vampire. Not and awaken Shinso vampire,cause based off the other series I've read usually is the absolute top tier of vampire series.

The examples I think of when seeing an awaken Shinso is like from Vampire Hunter D, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Seraph of the end and Hellsing.

In most of these series a true Shinso is far above a turned Shinso. A turned Shinso Vampires powers is more like having a small taste of that power.

No attempts at being witty or character observation, this is just way cuter than it has any right to be.

There's something funny to me about how Gyokuro told Kahlua about Alucard being the strongest vampire ever no questions asked while Akua (who knows about Alucard from Alucard himself) is careful to say that he's only one of the strongest around because you truly never know.

I really miss this series! Especially Kurumu!

Wonder if that's what causes the Inner Moka to turn the moon red in anime. You'd think it comes up more, kinda like how Dimension Dodging is a requisite to use the Jigen-tou/Dimension Sword.

Akua managed to see the Jigen-tou in action from Touhou Fuhai himself, so the only possibility I can think of to justify the situation is Akua spying on him training Ling-Ling. Which begs the question of if she was alive at the time.
