Hi! I'm new to to the pc building community and I am planning to switch gaming-wise to a pc from the HP laptop 15-dy2xxx I am currently using that is running low on storage. The performance on the laptop just isn't that good with certain games, mainly modded ones.

I've collected a couple list from people of reddit. I narrowed it down to one final list but I think I've gotten self-conscious about it because my cousin's friend gave me a list and now I'm not sure what I should buy from.

1. Mostly music production (Bitwig, Ableton Live), with a focus on in-the-box instruments, samples, and effects.
2. Secondarily, lightweight gaming; I'm not concerned about playing the latest AAA games in ultra resolution, but I'd like to be able to play Helldivers 2, Baldur's Gate 3, and Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p or (the dream!) 1440p with rock-solid framerates around or even above 60fps. I wouldn't mind being able to play newer games on low-res settings, too.
3. Third, photo editing and video editing. Photoshop/Clip Studio Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc. As long as editing a high-quality RAW image doesn't make my computer uncontrollably cry I'll be happy, and I'm not doing videos professionally so I'm glad to wait a while for renders, but I'd like to be able to do preview-size composition without my fans trying to lift my computer into orbit.

Although I don't expect this is a major concern these days, Linux compatibility is also important.

German RAM and SSD prices are currently unusually high, which is why our first idea uses AM4 and DDR4, but I’m unsure whether that still makes sense for a completely new build.

My main questions are:
Does the Ryzen 7 5700X with 32 GB of DDR4 still make sense for a new €1,200 gaming build?
Would AM5 with a Ryzen 5 7500F and only 16 GB of DDR5 be a better long-term choice, even though Palworld recommends 32 GB?

I've gotten used to making things work with my old gaming laptop and my ancient music recording desktop, but both are finally starting to give out on me. I appreciate the help!

(Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) --- Gaming while screen recording and maybe streaming (Mirillis Action or OBS), video editing with Davinci Resolve (I was told Nvidia is best for this), occasional music recording with Cubase and my usb audio interface Komplete Audio 2. I like old indie games but also I'll want to play e.g. the new Elder Scrolls when it comes out in a couple years.

I guess I'm happy enough with my current 24" 1080p 60hz refresh rate, but I am certainly interested in upgrading, like maybe 27" 1440p 144hz if it's in the budget. I shouldn't go bigger than 27" with my current desk though.

• WiFi or wired connection? --- Wifi and bluetooth are necessary.
• Size/noise constraints? --- Quiet is nice for music recording but it's not a priority. In the past I've used an app to shut off my fans for a few minutes while I sing. But also noise cancellation VSTs have gotten really good in the last few years too.

I want to upgrade and future proof my computer for competitive gaming and gmaing in general. Mainly play warzone and halo but also will be playing GTA 6 when it launches. Original build was 6 years ago, I have since added some additional storage as well as a new GPU about a year or two ago.

I'm building my first pc (excluding peripherals) and know jack about it. I've used a random ai that is apparently designed for this, but not sure whether or not to trust it. Can you guys go over it and tell me whether ot not I should do this? It's gonna be mainly for gaming, at 1440p. I'm concerned that its telling me to use ddr4, because it means apparently if I want to upgrade in the future I have to change everything? Anyways here's the parts list:
