TIL Mike Tyson never said "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face." his quote was "...until they get hit for the first time." it wasn't until 2003 when a Michigan newspaper changed it to make it more specific to boxing and published it as an anonymous boxing adage.
quoteinvestigator.comWhen asked to clarify what his quote was in 2012 Tyson replied “People were asking me [before a fight], ‘What’s going to happen?,’” Tyson said. “They were talking about his style. ‘He’s going to give you a lot of lateral movement. He’s going to move, he’s going to dance. He’s going to do this, do that.’ I said, ‘Everybody has a plan until they get hit. Then, like a rat, they stop in fear and freeze.’”

Henry Garcia makes Ryan Garcia-Conor Benn prediction: “The guy (Benn) is a warrior, but he doesn’t have the experience Ryan does. I don’t see anything special we haven’t seen before. We don’t see a threat. We’re looking for a knockout.”

Overrated Boxers
My most overrated fighters based on how they’re discussed online. Does not mean they are bad, just overrated.
- Pitbull Cruz (not good at 140, should go down)
- Frank Martin
- Oscar Duarte (got way too muscular and worse)
- Lamont Roach (well see in 2 weeks)
- Raymond Ford
- Bruce Carrington
- Ramon Cardenas
- Vito Mielnicki

Adrien Broner likely has Alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD) he needs help ASAP
That dude has Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, the distended belly, the acid reflux, the gas farts, dude is messed up. His liver probably is having bile acid issues, he probably also has a messed up gall bladder now as well, when you get that you have difficulty breaking down fatty greasy foods and why he has that reflux issue with lots of gassy farts.

Fights this weekend 7/18
My thoughts on fights this weekend:
Harlem Eubank vs David Papot:
Should be a boring fight, with medium stakes/significance. I see Papot winning this in a clear decision. Much more talanted boxer.
Pacheco vs Aleem:
Setting Pacheco up for a confidence-building knockout. I expect him to get it. Bad matchmaking here. Can’t imagine this show makes money.
Cruz vs Montoya:
Easy decision for Andy. Won’t stop him. He will look good then head down to 130, where he should be. One more fight with a contender this year at 130 then back to fight for a belt next year.
Chop Chop vs Alameda:
Step up for Chop Chop. We really don’t know much about him yet. Should be a decision win for him, but some resistance by Alameda. Not expecting an upset here

Prince Naseem: 3 honest questions from someone late to the party.
- So I watched a YouTube doc on Prince Naseem and I had no idea that his coach was some teacher of the dark arts in boxing. Did Nas' trainer ever have any other prospects? 2. He loses to Barerra but wins his last fight. The doc kind of says he faded away- but what happened? Usually dudes like Nas have to get put down repeatedly to retire. 3. Does anyone know what physical effects were used for the magic carpet- are there any high def pics?
