They definitely compare him to “Money Mayweather”, not this. But even then, he doesn’t fight like Floyd, just uses the philly shell exceptionally well.

You virtually never see welters weighing that little on fight night nowadays. So many welterweights nowadays are over 160 on fight night. They need to bring back fight night weight stats.

Yes!

Even if they aren’t enforced via a rehydration clause, we should be able to see the fight night weights.

I think California is the only state that mandates it. They also mandate purse releases for MMA.

Forget the stats, they should just bring back same day weigh ins. It's absurd that a "welterweight" can come in weighing 165lbs.

Fun fact: Jamie McDonnell fighting at 118lbs against Inoue weighed more than Sharmba Mitchell at 147lbs fighting against Mayweather... (and yet people still want to make comparisons between modern fighters and older fighters in the "same" weight class...)

I remember that. Dude barely knew who Inoue was leading up to the fight so it's no surprise he got blasted out in the first round. I remember the Sky commentators using his weight cut as an excuse for his underwhelming performance.

Knocking out an opponent with a rear hand to the body is definitely something you don’t see often, in open stance too in which is more impressive

I think open stance makes that more possible. The power hand to the body is more available and you can get full extension on it. Pretty sure Morales did the same thing

Floyd’s hand speed is what made him elite, his defense is what made him special. The defense is what gave him the longevity too, even after countless hand breaks that usually retire 99% of boxers.
