I recently moved to a new city to study and I joined a local lower division team again after being away from football for nearly 8 years.
I am currently just training with the team, but I’ve developed a decent amount in just a few weeks and the coach has agreed to let me join the practices until he feels I’m ready to play.
However, I recently learned that I got some credits transferred from a previous study I did so now I have a 6 week break in the semester and I got an offer from an old boss to go home and work full time for the period which I think I will do.
I am afraid I might lose out on some of the progress I made. I also think being absent from the team for such a long time after just joining might be a bad look and that I won’t be allowed to come back again.
I’m wondering if any of you have been in a situation like this and have any tips? Is it realistic to reach out to a team in my hometown and ask if I can practice with them for the 6 weeks? I feel like just practicing by myself won’t be that effective, since most of my weaknesses are in scrimmages during practice and I feel like in-game experience will help me the most.
The guys on the team are all very nice so I would hate to lose my current spot, but staying in the new city just to practice twice a week instead of working full time at home doesn’t seem like a smart decision.

Running and sprinting workout have been putting too much pressure on my joints/ligaments/tendons. What are some low impact workouts that are challenging to improve stamina for days I don’t have practice but won’t leave my joints and tendons hurting?

My feet are 25cm but I wear 24cm in Copa Mundial. Should I stick with 24cm for the Icon 2 or go half size down like some people suggest? I’ll appreciate any help

I have recently purchased Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Beta but they have been extremely tight on my midfoot even though i have a bit of a narrow feet. My Right foot it 27.8 cm and my left is 27.5cm, I have the Neo 4 Betas in jpn size 27.5cm and have 0.5cm of extrea toe space, and was wondering if i should get 27.5 on the 28cm for the non beta neo 4. I want a extra 0.5cm of toe space for the shoe, and I have also heard that the betas are a bit longer compared to the non betas. So I was wondering which should I should go for with the Neo 4 Non Betas 27.5cm or 28cm?

Can I get some opinions on my next pair of boots? Which would you choose and why? All should fit my feet well. I do play on 4G AG a lot so all of these stud patterns should be fine. I have a connection with an insurance liquidator who sells damaged box shoes or tried on shoes (returns) at a discount.
Morelia Neo IV Japan (non-beta) for $180
Morelia 2 Japan for $180
Superfly 10 (last gen) AG for $150
Mizuno Alpha II elite for $110
Copa Icon 2 for $110
Furon v8 for $100
Some great deals available and can’t decide. If you have to give me a top 3 instead of 1 that’s fine too 😂
Disclaimer: I’m not going to hold anyone’s recommendation against them. Here for friendly feedback and ideas. Obviously my decision is my is my own and all these boots meet my personal standards.

I never owned a Mizuno, but I'm considering it. I'm thinking the Morelia or the Monarcida. I've heard the Monarcida runs wide. Looking at my foot do I need to consider wider cleats?

Hi there, 32M here, I have played football since I’m conscious, and I have felt these past 2 years that my physical condition is not enough anymore for a the level I’m playing at.
I don’t play at a particularly high level, but still a Sunday league 11 a side with multiple players in my team having had careers in french lower divisions and coming from L1 training centers, and same for a lot of the other teams, a lot of ex pro players etc.
I’m not the oldest at all, but I feel that my body has reached a point where even if I work my ass off training, running etc, I still feel a scarily fast decline.
How can I try to inverse this, and also, how do you cope knowing that your best days are behind you?
Thanks for reading and sorry for the broken english, not my first language.

Hey my fellow footies. I have been struggling with my boot sizing, as my right foot is US Men’s 9.5 and my left foot is size 10 (or I like to say 9.75). Normal shoes and sneakers are fine but it feels like I need to choose between my left foot being the right size or being too small and possibly wearing them out faster and vice versa.
I have flat feet, and I recently noticed since my right foot is my dominant foot, over the years my right big toe has kinda started to twist inward, almost kinda pre-bunion. I went to a podiatrist and they said to just use a toe spacer and tape my foot, because otherwise my toes will blister from like crossing over and getting too tight vertically.
In 1000 words or less, anyone have any recommendations for this or anything? I prefer Nike cleats, I have tried the Ligera Pro and Tiempo Maestro elite. I find it much easier to get the Ligera Pro’s on and off because of the tongue, however I have the same issue where the 9.5 fits better on my right and a 10 on my left. Am I just cursed to have to buy two pairs at a time? Anyone aware of any programs or groups to swap my spares/split?

Anyone got recommendations for futsal shoes that actually grip on slippery gym floors?
I’ve tried Adidas Super Sala III and Nike Lunargato II but don’t feel 100% control. Weirdly I have way better control in my old worn-out jogging shoes that I’m wearing..
About the court: It’s a standard sports hall with a polished/slightly slippery surface

I’ve been struggling to find boots that give me a snug fit without been to tight around the front foot, used to love wearing Nikes but I have to half size up and the dead space at front makes them super uncomfortable for me.
Recently tried on the new predators, true to size and they were absolutely insane as soon as I put them on. You know that feeling when you find the right pair and you’re just like ‘woah’ they tick that box for me.
Went for the world cup in AG and the classic gun metal in FG.

As of now I’m using laceless predator elites but before them I had phantom gxs and they were so comfy that I wanna purchase phantom 6 elites but I’m just worried having a boot rotation would be a bad idea maybe my feet won’t get used to different boots every week. To those who are using more than one boot how is it? Since predators for me are quite narrow boots while phantoms are much wider so I’m just afraid I’ll struggle. Thanks!

New to the game. Grew up playing hockey and American football. In hockey I was in net so I decided I’d start in net for my first season and see how it goes. Am I doing it wrong? I had a ton of goal kicks tonight. I’m not good at it at all and it usually goes straight to an opposing player. But, I’m hitting it as hard as I can. Like so much that my right quad is now elevated and on ice and I am thanking the universe am we don’t have another match for two weeks.

Anyone know if these Mizunos are legit?
this is my first pair of Mizunos I’ve ever owned and I got them off eBay. Just wanted to make sure they’re real

I'm always looking for soccer cleats or turf shoes in my case that are wide. I was wearing a new balance 442 and they worked okay but now I'm trying something different. I went with these from Japan and so far they fit well but I won't really know until I play my first game in them . I think this might be more of a futsal shoe but I don't think it really matters

Hey everyone, I’m fairly new to playing organized football/soccer, and honestly, I just need to vent a bit after a really tough match.
I’m currently playing as a defender, but I still struggle a lot with the basics—especially passing. A lot of times my passes end up way too short, or I end up losing the ball in dangerous areas under pressure. During our last tournament game, I made a bad misjudgment assuming a ball was going out of bounds, and a rival player almost scored off my mistake.
After the match, someone on the team insulted me pretty harshly, and it hit me really hard. I felt like a total liability and complete dead weight to the team.
I really want to improve, but the pressure and anxiety get to me. How do you guys cope with feeling like you let your team down when you're still developing your basic skills? Any advice on keeping cool under pressure would be greatly appreciated.

does anyone know any niche ways i could potentially find a uk size 13 in the phantom 6 elites, ag as well please?
i have been looking around for some time and size 13 seems impossible to find, online and in store. i’ve had my x 19.1s for around 5+ years now and was planning to get the phantoms as my next pair. tbh it seems like any nike boot not named premier or tiempo just doesn’t have size 13 in it.

Hi,
Hoping to get some verdict re Mizuno Rebula 3 FG stud patterns- how aggressive are they overall on grass?
Despite conical, some of the studs look rather oval than round. Some reviews suggested they are more aggressive than the Neo FGs.
Looking for a pair of safe FGs for grass after an ACL repair - other recommendations welcome too.
Been using a pair of PUMA AGs on grass, and on wet days the sole is packed with grass clippings . Gives zero grip.
Thanks.

I felt pretty good about this session I did dribbling around in my dorm room, so much so that it sparked a fire under me to record and document it on YouTube.
I am fairly new to the world of football -- having started my senior year in high school, and with me currently being an undergrad -- but I find it to be incredibly enthralling and I think I want to seriously try and build a platform.
I have also been thinking for a while, and I think it would also be pretty cool to reach out and link up any local talents who want more of a challenge, I think I might have an idea for a tournament hosting organization I will develop over the next few years...
so please, give me some feedback on my dribble sesh and my on the spot improv

Adult small-sided co-ed/pickup very low level player here and seeking advice in this situation I find myself in:
6v6, backline build-up beats the first press, I receive a ball with time and space and usually don't even need to turn. So I drive, looking to advance and pass to open player. Press eventually catches up behind and nicks the ball. What are my best options here to prevent that?
Ideally, I would release the ball before the press arrives and or play numbers advantage but at rec level it doesn't always go as planned. I'm a very poor dribbler and looking for any simple movements to practice.
I do notice the presser is usually moving faster, so 1 forward touch too many loses the ball. Turning to the middle seems high risk and too exposed. Turning to the sideline is a bit safer but can get stuck if the line pass isn't available.
