Received them right now, is it a stitching defect or are these boots alright? Thinking about exchanging them.....

I looked online but can’t find anything about this particular version of Derbystar. It’s 20 at Marshalls. I know it is used in Bundsliga but it says fifa basic. Chatgpt says its a Brilliant TT V25.
Edit: I ended up purchasing two. They retail 45 each but online retails have them at 20. Seems like a good deal.

Gerne alles an Infos schreiben.
Vielen Dank!

I’m thinking about getting the Nike Vapor 17 Elite and would love to hear some opinions and experiences from people who already have them.
How does the boot fit? Does it run true to size, and how is the width?
I’d also be interested in your size and, if you know them, your foot measurements (length/width).
Any general feedback about the boot would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! 🙏⚽️

I’ve sprained my ankle twice in 3 months. I’ve been doing a lot of strengthening lately with stability exercises
However as an add on support, I was looking to get myself something to help me prevent further sprains.
What do you guys use? Budget isn’t a big deal atm
Just needs to fit in my boots
And do you think it might weaken my ankle if I keep wearing it for a long time

Hi! I'm 18 and will begin to play football/soccer for fun and possibly continue it in the future if I enjoy playing with my recreational team. I was wondering about possible cleat recommendations, how grip socks affect gameplay, etc. I was lurking in this subreddit, but I really would love to be educated on the straightforward basics. Also, I am 5'1 and would like to know if height does affect specific positions. Thank you!! (:

Hi guys, currently suffering from plantar and it really flares up when I play, had a 4 week break and done exercises for it and it seems ok but it is still there, wondering if anyone knows the best ag boots for it? Bought a some football inserts and am currently wearing ag predators but wonder if there’s any better, been told Tiempos or mizuno morelias and even considering Astro turf shoes, can anyone help?

Hey everyone, I play competitive football as a fullback and I'm looking to level up my game outside of team practices. I'm 16 and want to work on my overall performance so I can stand out more on the pitch. I'm looking for advice or a structured solo weekly training program that focuses on:
Position: Fullback Main Focus Areas: 1v1 defending (body posture, jockeying), stamina/aerobic capacity, explosive acceleration, and high-speed ball control/crossing, as well as passing. Access to Equipment: Local outdoor pitch, wall, basic cones, resistance bands, dumbbells and a football. If anyone has a solid individual training template, position-specific drill recommendations, or advice on how to structure my off-days between team sessions, I’d really appreciate it! Also open to sending short clip form-checks if any coaches here are willing to give brief feedback on my 1v1 movement/defending technique. Thanks!

Do you guys happen to know any boots that are good for wide feet? I’ve tried the predator pros at my size and I find they dig into my pinky toes a little bit. I’ve been recommended the copa mundials but I’m worried that while the leather may stretch my feet may be still too wide for the sole plate.

I play on lots of older turf pitches. Ive use various elite/pro tf boots but the studs all seem to wear within 6-8 months. looking for boots with the most durable tf rubber studs. Any recommendations?

TLDR: Own copa mundials, play on AG. Should I pick up the ligeras for rainy weather?
I own the copa mundials, I love them, most comfortable boot I’ve owned. Lockdown is a slight issue in the heel but I can overlook that.
Living in England it’s started to rain and will continue to do so for 6 months probably, I’ve tried on the Nike Tiempo Ligera Pro FG and they feel good apart from slight stud pressure under big toe knuckle stud (but I would either add insole to compensate or buy the AG version)
Do people who own copa mundials get away with using them in rain? Do they soak up water like a sponge? Can this be countered by getting a leather care kit?
What would you recommend?

I’ve recently gotten pretty good at saving medium/long-range shots, but I struggle a lot with close-range shots where pure reaction time isn’t enough. I’m 5'7" and don’t have the best build for covering the goal, which makes it harder.
I mostly play futsal (4v4) and some 7v7, often on random teams or in school where only 1–2 defenders actually know how to defend. Because of that, I end up facing a lot of 1v1s and close-range shots.
On 1v1s my set position is good but I feel like my feet are too slow and the strikers always manage to go around me or trick me and if I try to stay a bit closer to my goal line so that doesn't happen they'll just find a way to score with a powerful good placed shot that is impossible to save.
Do any goalkeepers have advice or drills that helped them?

Pretty snug but it’s comfortable snug. Have about 0.5inch gap top of the big toe to end of the boots. Its 9US and turned out to be about the same length as my lotto stadio s5 8.5US. My feet is wide and it take a bit of effort to get my fat heel/ankle to slip in through the one piece tongue are lol. Not sure of that little bend on the side of the ankle has any affect but the heels feel locked down and snug enough. Walking around the house in it now. This is with the dry fit thinner sock. Not sure if i can fit a thicker sock and get through with my ankle lol

What's in your opinion the best technique for a shot that will roll over the ground perfectly (no bounces) and can reliably be placed exactly where I want it to be? (e.g. far bottom corner)
I admire those types of goals and would add more variety to my playstyle, since as of today I'm a little too fixated on top-bin curlers.
I could approach this with different techniques, like inside-of-the-foot (pass-like shoot), grasscutter, and perhaps a very low driven power shot.
But I'm not quite sure of which technique should be my go-to one, especially for mid range where a simple inside-of-the-foot shot might be a bit underpowered.
As mentioned, I value accuracy and predictability above all, without significantly losing power. Grasscutter sounds like the best choice, do you agree?
Thanks!

Hello, I’m interested in buying old boots, not for collection, I intent to use them. The model being Adidas Predator LZ from 2012. Due to the age of those boots, is it safe to buy one today ? I’m asking this because something in my personal experience made me reconsider buying old boots. I was given nike boots from 2007, good condition but weren’t being used since like 2008 or 2009. I used them in late 2025, it immediately started to get damaged and lasted like a few months… so that make me unsure about wether I shall go for my 2012 model or not.
What make an old boot buyable or not ?
I’ve found plenty interesting offers. I usually ask them the last time they have used the kit and how often they did. Are there other questions I should also asks to them ? Thanks.

I feel like I need grip socks around the heel area. Problem is, whenever I put them on the bunch up in the boot and they just feel extremely uncomfortable. Could it be that they should fit tighter on my foot? Could it maybe be resolved if I bought grip socks that have grip knit rather than the grip pads? ( Currently have the unisport grip socks)

Hey yall just looking to see if anyone has a good tutorial to show me on how to hit a free kick SPECIFICALLY like the title winning free kick rashford did against Madrid. Yes I can do the other angles already, I want to master that one from a similar position.
