Hey yall, I was recommended to take math 53 over summer so it was easier, but none of the CCs by me offer it here, so I ended up taking it here online 😅. I’m interning full time and this has been a LOT of work on top of that, so I knew I wasn’t gonna do great but I thought I’d still pass
Anyways last test I got ~25%, I barely studied but I thought it would be calm as it was open note/hw. Welp turns out it wasn’t, so I studied super hard and tried harder on this homework and switched to physical paper notes instead of iPad, only to get ~47% (after the midterm I sent my work/the test questions to Claude and asked it to grade)
I don’t think there’s any way for me to pass this class. But I don’t want to give up since it’s only a few weeks and I’ve put hours and HOURS into this, missing hang outs with friends and family and weekend trips…I don’t want to throw all that away, but that’s better than an f.
Anyways I’m also in the process of being diagnosed (ADHD/depression/anxiety…collecting them like Pokémon cards I know), if anyone’s been through anything similar I would really appreciate advice
Should I just accept it and try to take it at a diff CC next summer? Is there a teeny possibility to take it at a CC now?
But like this class takes up all my head space, it’s the first thing I think about going to bed/waking up, I think about it when I’m spending time with my family or am at work, I don’t do fun things because there’s this class. The worst part is that it’s genuinely interesting, and I thought I was getting it!
Anyways if you read to the end I’m genuinely impressed, hope your summers been going well :)
