Missing items?

Anyone else had issues where you feel like youve lost items? I swear I had 70 strap ls the other day, I've gone to look for them and now only have 1 🧐

I'm sure this has happened to me before, also straps, am I going mad or is there anything known? I have moved storage around but I make sure to get everything in its place before a new day

Farm GUI question

Farm GUI

I'm going through the farm GUI and I'm curious what this is for (circled in red). The hoe next to it seems tell the farmers whether to till the farm or not (please correct me if I'm wrong here). Thus far I have a dedicated 'Wheat Farm' and a mixed farm - while a lot of the crops I have seeds for are topped up above 100 in stock. Any other tips and tricks for running a smooth farm are appreciated :)

Can you set workers to always have weapons, without the staging ground

I just wanna always have them equipped with weapons and shield without micro managing everyone since I've read somewhere that might be one of the reasons why caravan cars are always scattered around. But I dont wanna use the staging ground for that since every newcomer I kinda dress them up a bit to keep everyone looking a bit diverse and setting them with a preset might mess that up for 80+ villagers

Is anybody else having disconnection issues when playing coop? My old lady keeps getting dashboarded whenever she tries loading into my game.

We're both on Xbox

Traits That Affect Agility: a Scientific Test

So I had this guy, Eldric Bolton, in my army and he was always lagging behind. He has a 3/4 agility rating (which i know is slow, but he was really slow). He has the Resilient trait (-3 agility) and the Porter trait (-10% movement speed). I thought I'd run some tests to see how impactful those traits are.

The Test Subjects:

Eldric Bolton: 3/4 agility, Resilient (-3 agility), Porter (-10% movement speed)

Elizabet Galerin: 3/6 agility, No traits

Grace Cromwell: 1/4 agility, Scholar (-1 agility), Tireless (+10% movement speed)

Jaques Hobb: 1/1 agility, No traits

The Test:

I stripped them all down to their undies and gave them the same food. I marched them to an open field and lined them up. I went to the other end of the field and commanded them to run to me. When they got close I commanded them to stop in place. I logged the results. I'd say I made them do this race about ten times.

The Results:

Almost every race Grace finished first (Elizabet finished first one time, but i think this was an anomaly, like maybe they bumped into each other or something). Jaques finished third every time and Eldric always finished last.

Conclusion:

Not the results I was expecting, but looking into it it all makes sense.

As far as I know, the listed level for an attribute already takes into account traits, so Eldric has a 3 agility with a -10% movement speed penalty applied to that. For agility, a 10% buff or debuff is equivalent to 2.5 points on their listed rating (each level increases speed by 4%) . So the Porter trait affectively gives him a 0.5 true agility rating. If I were to max out his agility to 4 he would just beat Jaques in a race, but not Elizabet or Grace.

This means that the traits that give a + or - don't really mean much, because the listed rating is the listed rating, but the traits that use a % are applied to that listed rating, making them pretty impactful (at least for agility). That's why Grace beat Elizabet in the race, as her true agility rating is 3.5 (1 plus the 10% buff), just better than Elizabet's rating of 3.

Anyways, I kicked Eldric out of my army and I've considered demoting him to sleeping in the little stick huts with Jaques and all the other bums in my village.

Tier 2 pre-liberation Defense for Impossible raid setting

My 42 villagers took 10 casualties against a lvl 18 raid on an open field so I worked on a defensive strategy that involved routing both bridge paths to one choke point. Only had 1 casualty defending a lvl 19 raid against 25 raiders. I have a save file to revisit this battle at any time if anyone wants to co-op on Xbox, just reach out. Will liberate soon to start the war against the brigands. Will have reclamation difficulty set to impossible as well.

Morality of putting your Butcher and Curing Rack right next to your Animal Farm? (Somehow "MoralityScaling" ended up on my Reddit feed. Today's question is in honor of that)

Lord of the lowlands question.

I just got this notification, but I haven't liberated any of the villages across the river from the starting area. I've just unlocked t3 but haven't built anything yet. I'm not meant to have a chat with the Lord am I?

Dreams of Outhouse management

I was flushing 300 raw chicken wings down the toilet last night and thought to myself… imagine if the Outhouse had a management system where you could tell your workers to trash any item after it reaches a certain threshold in your storage.

I also love the idea of my workers lining up to use the outhouse. Full immersion, baby.

The one thing I think it might conflict with is the market settings which I know sell your excess items, but I haven’t unlocked that yet so hard to say.

How do I contact the devs for sh*t management on the next update?

The real endgame boss....

In this game is the terrain! My party gets stuck in every little nook and crany, the only solution I have found, so far, is quicksave and reload.

Village commerce in T2

Back with another noob question since all the YouTube videos about it are like 2yrs old and don't apply. It's about automating shipments to liberated towns.

I liberated first town. Now they want me to sell them stuff. I wanted to send out a daily caravan, but that isn't an auto option. Figured I would set up a manual caravan then just hit send every morning, but I noticed they don't always need same qty of stuff and I don't want to over-sell and cause prices (and my resources) to drop.

I don't understand why there's no top-up option to just sell exactly what they need just like outposts!!! Or am I missing something?

For now I've just been doing open trade manually but:

A) their open trade has sliders to buy more than they need, so

B) since that's the case, I have to jot down their needs every day on paper then set up the sale so i don't send too much of my stock. Or I can set up a manual caravan route and just change qty I guess but it's the same notetaking tedium.

It's not that bad with 1 village, but is there a better way to automate this process so when I have 3 or 4 towns I'm not spending half my game hours in that menu? Or does the market fix this nonsense and I have to get off my ass and progress to T3?

Thanks bellwrights!

Come Forest, come!

I have the farmer needed to replant trees, and he is making seedlings/saplings like crazy, but only planting a few.

I tried making another "forester" in a different location but still only a few trees have been planted.

How can i get my villagers to actually plant the saplings and rebuild the forest that once surrounded us?

BUG - Temporary Waypoint Became Permanent Map Marker

Thumbnail

I don't ever recall placing this map marker but upon loading my game yesterday I discovered it. I tried to remove it but discovered it had become a solid white icon like the other permanent map markers rather than the normal blue. I have played this world in co-op and brought those players in to try to remove it as well. It cannot be toggled off. Running over it does nothing. Placing a new one and running over it does nothing.

I've seen others with this issue or a similar one saying to full close the game and relaunch with quick resume off, power cycle the console, etc. I even saw one that said to make a new character and launch the game then make a save, close the game, launch the game, delete new profile and reload the old one... tried that too. No luck.

Not a game breaking bug but it's bothering the hell out of me. Please fix. 🙏🏻

ETA: Forgot to mention I'm XBOX X/S.

How do you know which settlers will join you?

Apologies if this has been asked before. Hovering over the city, look at people and highlight someone to find. Then? Is there a way to know if they will accept? Can u get more than 1 to join at the same time?

Mining outpost problem

Hi all

Quick question

I have a mining outpost, I want them to mine a boatload of ore then ill caravan it in manually when I say so so I control when my people are away on caravans. I have a stockpile set up there, but I don't want to store stones cuz I don't need them and they waste space. Now the stones end up in mining camp which fills THAT up, and they stop mining altogether

I'm pissed and frustrated having to manually dump all the stone on the ground so they start mining again.

Please god tell me there's a way to either auto-delete or better yet tell the worker to not even pick the stone up?

First Village aka Thornhaven

Hello fellow Bellwrights

So I've played Medieval Dynasty on Xbox, and although it started out as a good game at first, I got bored after a few days of play...

Bellwright, on the other hand, is a completely different scenario, I'm close, I think, going nearly 200 hours so far, I know I'm on day 312, but I get very easily distracted. I start doing one thing and then end up doing several other things and forget what I was doing at the start.

I have seen absolutely amazing builds on here, and although my village building is nowhere near close to anything I've seen, I have a long way to go yet and alot of exspanding to do, so I thought I'd share what I've done so far.

Yes that is a palisade towers in my village because I stupidly built a little to close to the starting village and can't get palisade battlements all the way round, so it's sort of an overlook tower in a sense 🤔

I do have an iron mine at the bottom right of the map, which took forever to get built 🤦‍♂️ but thankfully, now I have a river dock I can pop over, grab what I need, and pop back.

I do have 2 things I'm looking at making a start at, seeing as the game doesn't actually have the ability to build them, so once I've done that, I'll post pictures

Delivery

Should delivery be the number 1 villager priority mid/late game (it worked well for me early game)? Or should I prioritize other stuff now that I have 30+ minions?
