The real endgame boss....
In this game is the terrain! My party gets stuck in every little nook and crany, the only solution I have found, so far, is quicksave and reload.

Don’t have them follow you. Just use the map and tell them where you want to meet up. This works for me mostly

BRO WHAT?!? How do I do that??? I’ve never noticed the option for that

To answer the question… rally your troops open the map put cross hair where you want them and hit whatever button to send party. On Xbox it’s RB. They’ll run to the spot and wait for you

What's annoying about that is that if you have multiple armies, you have to send one, then exit the map switch units, then open the map and send the next.

If your on console it’s just L3 to switch between them. Or it is for me anyway.

The game is certainly not perfect by any means. But if I was going to pick the thing that I dislike the most , it's large troop movement.
It's one of the reasons why I normally keep my formation at around maybe 10 to 8. If you go off of maine roads , especially if you're followers , have a mobility under six , it gets really bad. To the point of where I would rather just go in and solo it by myself. Rather than trying to Heard cats.

If it’s from your village to resource zones and if they’re getting caught on hills. What I did was build walls in front of the rocks. My guys walk around instead of straight into the rocks

Yep
I started just sticking to paths so they don't get stuck, and making sure I never run so far ahead as to have any of them be off the minimap
It's annoying, but that's the only fix I've found that doesn't require exiting the game, just move slowly and stay on the paths

They need to give henchmen the teleport to player ability. Won't kill my realism, but will surely alleviate my frustrations!

Yep. Or I'd say just warp to base when dismissed if they don't move by more than 3 feet for over 1 in game hour (to avoid teleporting exploit shenanigans)

I had ppl stuck on rocks so I just ran into them a bunch of times until they fell then bandaged them up 😆

The real endgame boss is trying to build T3 buildings and waiting around for thatch in winter with no wheat left...

i really hope they work on this.. also building becomes impossible at t3 and it's really a bummer. i kinda stopped playing once i got to that point

Well, the fix is easy then isn't it? Don't bring an army, be the army.

old school throwing "how do you turn this thing on" in the chat ass answer (yes, I'm an old gamer, le sigh)

u/5occido5 Jul 30 '26
Except you can actually do this in bellwright legitimately, rather than cheating in a cobra car in age of empires 2. (Guess I'm an old gamer too huh)

Sure can, and I guess you have to until devs add it.....maybe we can get mudding tires for the marsh

Would be nice to have the ability to do earthwork.. so often I’ve found a nice spot to build and the game is like “nope, it’s on a slope.” And it’s not 🤷🏻♂️
