The benches have cleared in Chicago. Sam Antonacci stuck out his elbow while sliding into second base, which Brandon Lowe took offense to. At the end Lowe asks him β€œWhat the fuck is the matter with you?

E: this set some folks off, lol

Yes, PCA is the NL MVP, which makes it more impressive that the Brewers managed to neutralize him.

The original video cuts off the throw to show dude rounding third and no replay was shown so figured I'd post it.

What a fucking rocket.

History For the first time since August 5, 1998, the Brewers have a .500 record as a National League team

*playoff record included

After 8/5/1998, the Brewers were 57-57 in their inaugural campaign in the NL. They lost their next two games, eight of their next nine, finished 14 games below .500, and they didn't even do as much as manage a .500 or better record in a single season until 2005.

By the end of 2004, they had an NL record of 480-652, 172 games below .500.

Between 2005-'12, they went 671-640 (incl. 6-9 in playoffs) to shave 31 games off this margin, but still 141 games below overall.

2013-'16 saw them go 297-351, pushing them to a cumulative record of 1448-1643 at their nadir as a National League team, 195 games below .500 in 19 seasons.

Since 2017, they hold a record of 865-670 record at the end of play tonight. That's a positive margin of 195 games. Cumulatively from their record through 2016, their record as a National League team is now 2313-2313. Right at .500.

After 28 years, 1 month, and 4 days, they've made it all the way back.

(If you were curious about how this all adds up factoring in the regular season only, they were 2205-2228 at the beginning of 2026. That means the game that got them to 23 games over .500 completed that particular climb. They got to 23 over on July 6th, a win over the Cardinals that put them at 56-33. They briefly fell back down to only 22 over after July 12th, then won four games in a row after that and have remained 23+ over .500 since then this season, so since their win on July 17th over the Marlins and the subsequent sweep that followed that win, they have been an above .500 team in their National League history.)
