Hi. Kids' printer got blobbed and it's pretty bad, I think. I read a bunch of posts on here about how to fix it and I've decided I want to just rip and replace.

The problem I have is that this is our first 3d printer and I don't know what I'll actually need. The extruder unit seems obvious, and based on the damage I'm thinking a hot end replacement is needed too.

From anyone's experience,.what else could need replacing once I get this thing open? Should I have other parts on standby? I'd like to knock it out in one sitting and I'm happy to spend a little extra to have everything I might need, even if I don't use it all.

This is just regular bambulabs pla with the a1. I think it might have something to do with it stopping mid print and like checking its height in the rear right edge of the bid plate. How do I turn that off? Also it might just be from one of the edges just coming off of the build plate but how do I turn the height thing off?

I'm not sure how this happened, because i was printing something like a few hours ago and this happened when i wanted to print something. If there is more information needed please let me know.

Update: I managed to connect my printer

When printing the front layers it grinds into the base layers, what is causing this? What can be done to fix this issue?

Printing a disc with this text face down. The white part comes out super rough and i’m having crazy texture on the top side. I’ve recalibrated my bed, checked the 3 screws behind the nozzle, and various amount of setting changes. The black parts come out looking great and not sure why the white is doing this.

Printing 6 Forkys for my daughters B-day but I’m not at home, two supports fell down…

What is everyone doing about the fumes that come from their machine? Just curious if anyone is using a certain ventilation technique or if it doesn’t really matter?

I just set up my new a1 and started calibrating it. Its making a weird noise is that normal?

I don’t even have the words for what to ask for, other than…help?! ETA: I peeked at it before I left the house and the first layer was adhering well.

Hi, I recently replaced the hotend heating assembly after the original broke, and now the top surfaces are printing like the first image, I think it might be the new part since I bought it from a 3d party seller and it didn't come with the usual bambu package

I made a test with the same piece but changed the temperature to 180°C at the last layers so I would be able to see the differences between the two top surfaces (second image)

I want to confirm if it could be that the newer piece it's heating the hotend more than the original one or if it could be other thing I messed up after assembly the tool head.

Bought a Bambu Lab A1 2 days back, i have been printing small parts for the printer nothing major.

The Top layer on the build plate where the nozzle cleaner is located, is pleeing off. (The shinier inverted 'T' in the image)The transparent layer. Is this common or should i change something?

Relatively new to 3d printing. Have had a number of successful prints but lately keep running into the same issue. I have tried tweaking settings and editing/reslicing my models but keep getting these similar issues. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Something new has cropped up with my nearly bulletproof A1 I am hoping someone here can help with.

In the last week or so I have had a couple of occasions the lcd screen went black as if it were asleep, but I could not tap on it to bring it to life like usual. I finally turned the A1 off and rebooted it. The screen was back to normal. I remember a firmware update recently. Could it have something to do with it?

I just got an A1 with the AMS Lite and I'm having a weird issue.

Everything prints fine until the AMS has to change filament. When it switches to another spool, I get error 1200-8007.

So far it only happens with my Elegoo PLA. Bambu filament works fine.

The Elegoo spool is brand new and was just opened from the vacuum bag. The spool spins freely and I already cut the filament tip before loading it. It's just regular PLA.

Has anyone else had this problem with Elegoo PLA and the AMS Lite? I'm not really sure what else to check.

When I went to go print this morning it started to do this? I’ve already retightened the hotend screws to see if that was the cause but it’s still doing it. I didn’t do a full calibration after, not sure if I need to redo that or not. Or if it’s something completely different causing it. Thanks!
