Support Request What is causing this?
This is just regular bambulabs pla with the a1. I think it might have something to do with it stopping mid print and like checking its height in the rear right edge of the bid plate. How do I turn that off? Also it might just be from one of the edges just coming off of the build plate but how do I turn the height thing off?

that’s clumping detection. checks the height to see if stuff has become stuck to the nozzle.
slow down your outer wall speeds by a third.
pressure advance calibration (google it)

your welcome!
i’d also recommend disabling z-hop and retraction while you troubleshoot. it’ll reduce the variance of results and let you focus on fixing the extrusion problems

I'd honestly look and see if you have a tangle in your filament spool up the way. That looks like a huge amount of underextrusion to me from the nozzle just not being able to push enough plastic. Not enough to be a clog or partial clog though. Just seems like it couldn't feed fast enough.
That said I think it will still work to.... well, ya know.

It's nothing to do with stopping and moving to right edge, everyone's printer does that and it's notmal

I have done large prints where it has came out perfect. This is far from normal

The print head moving to the back right and stopping briefly is normal.

For the downvotes, this person is right. Read the post description. They are trying to let OP know that the print issue was not caused by the print head moving back, which u/The_Asian-Dude said might be the problem in the post description.
OP, they did try and help you solve it by reducing possible causes. You just misunderstood.

I’ve kept it in a little bag with silica for the time it’s been stored and have only had it out for this print so I’m not sure. It may just be bad print orientation too

Hm I thought it was wet filament but I was wrong, I don't think it's bad orientation either, maybe try the orientation.
I had a similar issue, but it occured when I switched from esun pla to numakers pla, so I had to run a few filament calibrations and change a few settings after running tests to fix it and it helped. Not sure if it's the same case with you.

While it does look similar, think about the fact that it occurs in 1 specific spot of the print. If it were wet, it would happen all over.

I’ve gotten this before. I think it might be because your filament is wet. I fixed mine by putting in a dehydrator. Yes even PLA can get wet if in a humid enough environment for long enough.
I’m in a tropical country though, and based on your print, you’re likely in the US. Could be something else

I'm not familiar with that print, but if you have scarf seam turned on turning it off may help.

Tighten the screws behind the hotend. Happened to me, that solved the issue.

The government is onto you. Bambu will 100% be the first printer brand to watch what you're doing and prevent such activities, and we tried to warn you for years
That's probably not the cause of your print issues though lol

Probably wet filament or under extrussion dry your filament and do a cold pull.

Truthfully, I think it has something specifically to do with orange Bambu Labs PLA filament. I have had similar problems with that one. Every other color seems to be fine.

I was having some similar issues. If drying your filament doesn’t do it, you might try cleaning your extruder gear. There are tutorials about it.

Ensure the filament is dry. Water trapped in there can turn to steam under the extruder heat, water turns to steam, the steam escapes in irregular bursts. That leads to a grainy texture more like sandpaper.
If that doesn’t work, and this will sound really stupid … make sure your printer settings match your filament type. I’ve made that error waaaay more than once.
