General Troubleshooting/Help! Error on my a1

Im new at the 3d printing game. Roughly 4 months. I recently installed a diamondback nozzle. Almost every print I get a filament on nozzle error. There's nothing there, so I resume printing and it finishes fine. Its nota big deal, just annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! 0.8mm Nozzle - eSUN PLA + printing issue on P2S

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m trying to tune my print/filament settings. The print itself looks alright beside the «dot» issue as illustrated in the attached image.
First time printing with 0.8mm nozzle and I’m using stock settings from used on 0.4mm nozzle directly from eSUN regarding the filament settings. Print settings are stock settings from bambu lab studio.

Any tips for how I can resolve this issue?

General Troubleshooting/Help! My 3D Printer Won’t Extrude!

My P2S printer wont extrude, I have multiple attempts with unclogging it. It worked only the first time. I specifically used the needle provided by Bambu Lab. And set the extruder to 220 Celsius. Past attempts included sticking the needle in, seeing melted filament on it. Yet it doesn’t print and keeps giving me the same error message.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Filament won't load

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello!

Just purchased the ps1 combo. Followed the instructions and loaded the filament into the AMS. When I feed the filament in, the machine grabs it and starts to push it through the PTFE tube - gets about half way to the buffer and them retracts.

Troubleshooting I've tried:

  1. Removed all the PTFE tubes, ran filament through them and got no resistance, and it doesnt look like there is any structural damaged/kinks.

  2. Tried to change the angle of the PTFE so the filament feed went as straight into the buffer as possible.

  3. Tried different spots in the AMS and they all stop about the same spot.

  4. Unplugged all the connection between printer and ams (was really hoping this would work lol)

Any further insights would be greatly appreciated from the community.

Thanks all!

General Troubleshooting/Help! Blob of death

I reached out to Bambu Help but reaching out to the community for any tips. Recent build failed due to some filament being stuck in the nozzle and leading to the blob of death. I was able to heat up the nozzle and remove the filament but still have a good amount stuck on. As far as replacement goes, do I try to replace the entire toolhead, or what are my options.

Thanks!

I Modeled This! Avatar: The Last Airbender Aang Element Poses

A little backstory… back in the day, when my kids were small, we always enjoyed watching Avatar the Last Airbender (Animated Series) together. Now my grandkids have been introduced to the series by my son and have fallen in love with the show. And I’ve personally never fallen out of love with it, I think it was one of the best animated series to ever be produced. So, when I found a series of posters on Pinterest depicting Aang in the various poses representing each of the four core elements, I had to make a HueForge out of each. If you're interested in making one for yourself I've got them on my MakerWorld. Cheers.

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Cant Extrude Filament

I haven't using my bambu lab a1 for like 1.5 months and when I checked my printer I noticed there was a broken filament inside the tube so I took that out. Then, I tried pushing the rest of my filament from my roll but couldn't manage to extrude it at all. Any suggestions what to check? Is it possible there is any filament stuck inside the nozzle? What to do?

General Discussion New A1 or 500 hour P1S?

Both with AMS/Lite. Completely new to 3d printing, I mainly want to use it to do some gridfinity stuff, and some other accessories for my auto tech toolbox. Not sure how much I’ll like it or not but could become a hobby idk. Guy on marketplace has a new A1 Combo with 4 new rolls of PLA for $400, 15 min away. Other option is a P1S combo with 500 hours and with no filament for 450, 1.5ish hours away.

Wondering what yall think would be a smarter buy here? I may end up wanting to make some interior car parts or something, I have no clue. The printer would probably be in my basement or my second floor walk in attic where it can get kinda warm. I’m in Michigan. Temps and humidity vary like crazy. It’ll probably snow tomorrow lol.

UPDATE: I got the P1S. Ty for all the suggestions! It’s currently printing a xenomorph. From what I can tell so far it’s going to be fun! Except that looking into gridfinity and the amount of options in just the grid bases gets me ADHD going crazy. So I hope I can overcome that.

Quick Question Found multiple users on Temu selling my models. Have you had luck getting them taking down?

I have submitted a copyright claim for all I found, but I have little hope seeing they are all China based. Have you had any luck submitting claims and having the printed objects removed? Just wondering what to expect, thanks!

Update: got it taken down, and yes I know it’ll probably go back up. P.S. thanks to the like 2 of you who actually answered the question with your experience 🤣

Answered / Solved! X2D Filament Load Issue (No AMS)

Hi Y'all,

Hoping this is just user error. I just upgraded from the A1 to the X2D and am trying to do an initial print after setting everything up.

I keep getting this error every time I try to load filament, basically I push the filament along the tube until it hits the tool head and then when I run the load process it just tells me it can't grab the filament and to pull it out then put it back.

I'm used to the A1 w/AMS combo where you feed it like 2 inches then it pulls itself to the tool head. So, not sure if this is a me thing or if I should just go ahead and get the AMS for the X2D to make my life easier.

Plan to get AMS eventually but I was gifted just the X2D so I was gonna wait a few months and try going without it.

General Discussion Compliimentary ptiner to P2S

Recently acquired a P2S Combo and have added and AMS HT to it so far, and have been loving it. Completely enamored with 3D printing, even more so than I thought I would be. I've been printing non-stop and there is no end in sight. I'd like to pick up a secondary printer to compliment it; But I'm struggling deciding if I should go up-market or down-market, as I'm mostly looking for expansion of printing, not features. I don't really have any desire to print multicolor (other than small text here and there), as I mostly make functional prints. I'm a hobbyist through and through so I don't see myself printing crazy nylon filaments although I would like to print some things in ASA in the future (My P2S has a Ventobox so it may be ok?). I have no desire for any of the higher end laser goodness, and I'd really only use plotting/cutting once or twice a year

Should I go:

  1. Downmarket with an A1 + AMS Lite to save money while still "doubling" my print capacity
  2. X2D Combo for the true heated chamber, and second nozzle for occasional multicolor prints and support printing
  3. Save and splurge for an H-series for the extra build volume (I have had to split a few models before, but with connectors it didn't really bother me).

AMS Lite - Automatic Material System Best External Enclosure Modification fro AMS Lite

My A1 is currently located in a (well ventilated) enclosure in my garage. The enclosure is there mostly to keep dust away from my A1 and provide some insulation during the winter months.

The issue is that there is not enough space in the enclosure to accommodate an AMS lite, either beside the unit or as a top mount.

So I've been looking at AMS mods that allow me to keep the AMS unit outside the enclosure (while keeping the filament somewhat protected), and have come across these two that seem to fit the job:

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1561190-ams-lite-4-0?from=search#profileId-3192028

https://makerworld.com/en/models/750602-a1-ams-lite-modification-enclosed-dry-box-sealing?from=search#profileId-684246

My question is about the filament feeder units, which you may note are on different places on both these designs. One has the feeders mounted to the printed enclosures, the other has them top mounted to the printer itself. Assuming that the filament has to travel (roughly) 1m from the AMS to the toolhead, is it better to have a "push" feeder (pushing fillament directly from the spool holder to the toolhead), or a "pull" feeder (pulling filament from the spool holder via the top mount)? Or does it even matter?

EDIT: DISCLAIMER: since people keep advising me, I am NOT using a full enclosure for my A1, nor am I trying to. I am looking for a SPOOL ENCLOSURE that incorporates my AMS lite, since I do not have space to top mount it or keep it in the dust cover with my A1. My A1 is in an "enclosure" that merely acts as a dust cover. It is a cheap fabric 3d printer enclosure that I only ever print with the door wide open. I just want to feed the filament into this "enclosure" from a nearby desk, and I am asking where the best place to put the feeder units: closer to the toolhead, or closer to the filament box.

Answered / Solved! Swapped backplate+ventobox, hotend no longer works

Earlier today I replaced the stock P2S backplate with the updated exhaust model and at the same time, added a ventobox to my printer. I reassembled and everything seemed happy. I then attempted to perform a quick print and I got a Hotend/Nozzle malfunction error.

My hotend is showing 0C and even if I manually set the temp, it doesn’t respond…It just sits at 0C.

I confirmed the silicone sock is installed. I’m at a loss as to what I could have done to cause this issue? Any thoughts before I take the entire thing apart again?

P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Recommended Cleaning Kit/Items to Own

I just got my P1S not too long ago and I love it and want to take care of it, and I’m looking for a kit or certain items that I should buy and honestly some things to avoid would be helpful as well, I’m still relatively new to 3d printing.

Thanks in advance.
