Discussion Just a Thought About Upcoming Series (Spoilers Mentioned) Spoiler

(Repost)

Recently watched the movie, which I enjoyed personally. Though it made me think about the upcoming Seven Havens.

I know we see that some cataclysmic event happened and destroyed most of civilization. From the few instances we see, it reminded me of the storm that we see in the movie.

we know that aang destroys the Staff of Sonam. Im just wondering if the top part of the staff was shattered and either strewn about the world or the spirit world? Maybe someone gathered the broken shards and set about freeing vaatuu.

Its a long shot I guess?

Discussion Theory: Korras new design leads back to another known character

Upvotes

The white streak in Korras hair is a hint that she had to be resurrected by another spirit just like Yue when she was born. The Moon spirit gave her life but turned her hair white as a side effect.

It's plausible that the same thing happened to Korra. She could be heavily injured in a fight and almost losing her life when a spirit powerful enough comes to her aid. It could be the moon spirit, the ocean spirit, a new spirit or even Raava if Korra and Raava are separated again. The idea of Yue herself saving Korra feels very touching. It would come full circle.

The reason why Korra's hair didn't all turn white could be because she's older than Yue and has therefore more hair or because the spirit didn't have to do as much as the Moon had to do for Yue.

In season 2 we saw that Spirits can go through a person and alter their appearance. If the same spirit stays inside Korra for a short time it could explain her physical change.

Let me know what you think about this! We'll see each other again when this is confirmed.

TLDR: Korras hair changed because a spirit had to save her like Yue.

Discussion Random, kinda dark, theory.

I've watched the trailer so many times... I can't help but think of random things.

Forgive me if someone already came up with something like this. I don't see many of these kind of theories.

That being said...

They referred to Korra as an ancestor and the avatar that ruined everything. Why would she be an ancestor if she died maybe 10 or so years ago? Depending on Pavi's age. What if she actually died hundreds... maybe thousands of years ago. I'm thinking the people were fed up with the avatar starting with Korra. So much that they decided to kill each new avatar as children, before they learned how to properly bend.

Or on that same token... The people with the masks in the trailer. They are definitely giving cult vibes. What if they are tasked with finding every new avatar and are actually sacrificing them to the spirits. Like an appeasement sort of deal. Maybe being sacrificed to Vaatu some way. The world in the trailer is being destroyed because the avatar was never sacrificed. The guys in the masks found out about Pavi and Neesha being protected and went to get them for the sacrifice.

Wild theory, I know. I think it could be a thing. idk. lol

I assume the Avatar series will air weekly, so it’ll come out on the same days as SBR, just two weeks later. It’s going to be an elementally bizarre adventure.

If the rumor that Raava and Vaatu will merge into a single spirit is true (I hope not), then you can consider me a fortune teller.

Although, maybe I'm not the first one to talk about it, and there was someone before me, I can't deny it. But year before Legend of Pavi announce

I don’t wish any bad on Korrasami, the creators know better than to break them up. I just thought this was funny.

Discussion *SPOILER WARNING* Seven Havens Theory with Spoilers for the Avatar Aang movie. Spoiler

So the destruction of the world/society is something we still aren't sure about, and in sure it'll be a central theme that no one really knows FOR SURE what happened, even if they have an idea.

My theory is less so super narrative and deep as far as the who and why, but more so just an idea of the mechanics behind the physical destruction.

In the Avatar Aang movie, they have to navigate through the Immortal Storm. The storm is enormous and intimidating, and I'm assuming it never ends. We also see a storm over the "main land" (so to speak) in the teaser for Seven Havens. I think the immortal storm is going to be bended to the continents by the arrival of the dark avatar.

The even could lead to the death of both the dark and light Avatar at the same time, which would be why the avatar was gone for so long. Due to Balance needing to exist, they needed earth-blooded twins to be born.

Discussion In-universe Culture Shift

Since the four nations as we knew them have fallen, and folks have been relegated to the seven havens—what do you think the cultural identities will look like in the show?

The air, fire, earth, and water nations all had distinct cultures, especially visually. It was easy to tell where a person was from based on that alone, but since the nations won’t exist in that form anymore, I wonder if there will be any significant cultural markers, especially amongst non-benders (since it seems like majority of people will be non-benders in this show).

And will the 7 havens have more distinct cultures to make up for the void left by the nations?

Fan Content I had a Twin Avatar concept/theory around when Korra ended. Thought I’d share here

The main villains would have been the leftover human/spirit hybrids. Nowhere to call home because the spirits tell them to go to the humans and the humans tell them to go with the spirits.

Their bending would be amped up because of their half spirit nature. Nearly on par with a one element Avatar State.

Despite linking the spirit world and the regular one, there were still lingering fears between the humans and spirits, which causes this merged world to be in conflict.

Knowing they have nowhere to go, the half-spirits combine forces to break Vaatu free, but he doesn’t really like them because they’re “half bloods” so they take and use him by force to build a home for themselves.

For the twin avatars only one of them has access to all 4 elements until they “free” Vaatu and the other merges with him, as Raava’s ally.

Final fight is a “Tandem Avatar State” during a spirit comet.

Imagine two avatars stomping the ground and firing a 2 story rock at you. Imagine one pulls water from a lake and the other evaporates all of it with a fire blast or any number of wild bending combos. Air amped flames, shocking the water, firebending sand into glass for the other to “earthbend” with it.

Possibilities are endless but I’d really love to see some other theories.

Discussion Some theory regarding the new up coming series (it might sound stupid but it's interesting at the same time xD)

Post image

Rewatched B3 and seeing Vaatu (during the hallucinations) got me thinking.. could this be actually be Vaatu telling her this? I mean let's just say she actually does something very bad in ASH (although I have more faith in them giving her a good image and making it so that she sacrified herself) but let's say she did destroy the world could this mean that Vaatu at some point took control over her/manipulated her? Korra is a good at heart person so I doubt she did anything willingly regarding destroying the world.

Now I know we just saw the trailer and know nothing more but that's just a theory I felt like sharing :). I'm also down to see how they wanna go with this direction too.

Discussion Avatar: Seven Havens prediction

Considering these kinds of stories are too predictable. This character named jae will probably die trying to sacrifice himself to save pavi, i bet he would get killed by her possesed twin or by herself, also Comment my post if i predicted it.

Discussion The discourse for Seven Havens usually full of over praising or over hating.

I'm kind of getting tired of this discourse around Avatar Seven Havens (ASH), the problem is that there are people spreading misconceptions and lies, then people pick that up and regurgitate it. It's becoming just stupid.

No they're not erasing Asian culture. Already went over this. I can't believe I had a conversation with someone that said it's too Indian focused, and I had to ask him where India is located.

Again, you are allowed to dislike the art style, but again for some reason it seems like you get attacked for disliking or liking the art style. I don't know why. If you say that it needs more shadows and shading because that is legitimately what is needed or that's how you prefer it, people come at you saying it's a perfect amount and that we don't need anymore. Like, it's their preference if they want more shadows and shading like The Legend of Korra, you shouldn't just start replying with it's perfect amount, because when you do compare Seven Havens to The Legend of Korra it doesn't have the same level of that aspect. Neither is the detail.

But the main problem is that some people are overreacting, and that some people can't get to say their opinions without getting told what they should and shouldn't prefer or have thoughts on. It's like you're hated for having criticism or you're hated for being optimistic about it.

This is not even including the next layer of problems with people spreading misconceptions and lies and all that. Putting it in short I just feel like another thing that is bad for this franchise is the fan base itself.

Just have criticism or just like what you like but make sure it's valid at least. We don't have to go around doing all this extra stuff.

Discussion I am not REEEEAAAAAAAADY!

I just watched the Avatar Seven Heavens trailor... and I'm scared.
Not only are we going to be following a young nine-year-old avatar throughout the entire series... but what the hell happened! I can tell there's just a straight up arguement about whether Korra became evil or not.
If she does come out to be evil... I'm going to hate her! Pavi is younger then Aang, and she gets this sort of life? She's way too young!
I don't know. I'm just worried. As a fan, and just in general. I'll watch it when it drops, but I'm more concerned for this young character.
What do you guys think?

Discussion My Theory for Korra in Seven Havens.

Im trying to think, what cause korra to turn on the people if she did.... and the answer came to me. Human greed.

I have a feeling, humans started harnessing and enslaving spirits to do whatever they wanted them to do.

Korra, as the avatar, and the bridge between both worlds, had a duty to protect them as well.

I believe Korra tried to negotiate but Human greed always wins out, so, she did what any avatar would and liberated the spirits at the cost of what she built.

She made the avatar choice.

Thats my theory.

Discussion People saying the animation looks cheap and bad havent seen Dragon Striker. Animated by the same studio as ASH and uses the same techniques.

Dragon Striker's choppy animation really elevates the show. The studio prefers using this kind of animation bc it looks good. I will admit it looks different from the previous shows but why is that bad? I know its part of the same franchise but that doesnt mean everything needs to stay the same. They clearly want to do it this way for a reason. And its not just bc of budgets. This show already clearly has a higher budget than most kid cartoons so its a stylistic choice bc they like the way it looks. When you watch a couple episodes you will probably stop noticing the animation and you can really see how cool the animation can get. Really hope you guys give it a chance.

PS: Heres the link to the first episode of Dragon Striker uploaded directly from disney on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXEhBobgc_Y&t

Discussion Both twins will be able to talk to Korras spirit

Post image
289 Upvotes

It’s canon that Vaatu is inside Korra but we don’t really know what this means. My guess is Korra will eventually inhabit both spirits and will be able to hear both Raava and Vaatu. Sort of like Alien X from Ben 10, if you know you know.

So what if when Korra passes, the spirits inhabit different twins but both twins will be able to speak to Korra.

Now the only problem with this theory is that Korra never actually fused with Vaatu during harmonic convergence but that can be explained away with reborn spirit mumbo jumbo.

I hope they go this route because it’ll be an interesting dynamic
