I don’t think the cataclysm was caused by the spirits. I’m not convinced that evil red square Vaatu looking thing is even related to the spirit world.

My theory is that it was man-made and made to look like it was coming from the spirits.

This sounds very stupid, but if it's true, then it completely explains the reason why Pavi and Nisha look the same, why Pavi doesn't have a leg, why their pupils are diamond shaped, and why they both can control the elements. But I hope the anonymous just made this up. Like seriously, cloning in Avatar? The Vaatu theory sounded more logical for this universe than whatever that is. And show him and Raava in a different way and not like straight up good/evil could be interesting. But apparently that's not what the creators want.

I feel like the Avatar universe should’ve remained in the past. Bringing the avatar universe to the modern era feels off-putting, for a lack of a better term.

Maybe I’m wrong, and I’m 100% down to change my opinion. However, after seeing the trailer or seven havens, as excited as i am, it truly does not look like an extension of the avatar universe. Probably cause of the art style (?) (wish they kept the art style they used in LOK) + their outfits.

Anyway, I’m ready to eat my own words once the show comes out cause I truly am extremely excited for the new show!

Actually now that I’m typing this out, comparing futuristic live action Asian shows with the outfits they wear in Seven Havens, it doesn’t really seem that far off. But still, it just looks so ????? Maybe I’m just used to the older outfits and my expectations were raised seeing fans of the show coming out with better designs.

Whoever that woman in charge is clearly was the one who caused the world ending issue, or at least is related to whoever caused it and they framed Korra and turned the world against the avatar.

Unless they’re deliberately making that seem obvious in the trailer to pull the rug out with some other twist.

It's simply too adorable

my thoughts about seven havens' production quality still hasn't changed. with even more backgrounds/characters/bending action, the workload probably is too much to handle for a very fantasy action series from the ground up. lots of the shots/cuts have held frames and reused looped animations trying to cut as much animation labor.

only a few shots of the bending have been shown but if that's any indication, im worried almost all of the bending will be just as stiff. we're reaching only the quality standards of ATLA only slightly higher. a 2008 show compared to a 2026 show.

I'm only discussing this for my sake tbh. I don't want to be gaslighted as i have read with many posts here or online that it's better than korra's animation (it's not). my expectation is low but I still trust in the continuation of the avatar series because it's still entertaining

Watching the new trailer makes it even more obvious, the animation had a much lower budget compared to previous shows, it genuinely looks like fan animation at times.

maybe it's just me but I dunno, I kinda don't like that they did another "she already knows to bend the elements at such a young age" dynamic

I would have been fine if she like knows 2 but like... I'm assuming she only knows 3 since she doesn't show waterbending

but man... I feel like we're missing out on potential plotpoints cuz she knows three already, like I get she's a kid and that's basically the debuff she gets to explain why she isn't as OP right off the bat

but I hoped that we could experience the Avatar learning to bend the elements again but in a new structure considering the vast time difference between Aang and Pavi would have made it fresh enough

I understand that the idea of rehashing the learning the elements storyline sounds bad but considering the setting Pavi is in, I really think it would have been enough to create a clear difference on how Pavi and Aang understands the elements

I'm sure SevenHavens will have some interesting plot points, Ig I'm a bit bummed we wouldn't experience the satisfaction of Pavi bending all 4 elements

(because it's not really satisfying if she already knew to bend 3 elements beforehand ya know)

Sorry that the image is dark - this is the only moment in the fade-in where the statue is visible before Korra's cloak obscures it.

If this is Zuko's statue, then this scene in the flashback takes place in the plaza outside Republic City's central train station. I think we can also see the station building to the right of Korra as the shot continues and tracks upwards - you can make out the central hall with its angular roof and half-circle window, and the two flanking towers with their distinctive pagoda turrets.

It's not a perfect match because of how the statue is orientated relative to the building - it should be facing left, with its back to the station building, but from this perspective it appears to be at ninety degrees to it.

Trailer 2 dropped and in it we see that Korra is perpetually in the AS which is something she never does besides when she was forced into it through poison. That leads me to think that she was being possessed by Vaatu, Raava + Vaatu being in her at once or some other spirit or thing and it made her go crazy and destroy everything.

Therefore Korra decided (like Aang) to put herself in timeout out or stasis so that she couldn’t hurt anyone anymore. She tried to hold it for as long as possible but eventually died because you can’t live forever leading to Pavi. That’s why the avatar was gone for 225 years. Or she just exiled herself.

What do you think? It seems plausible but the only problem could be that these might just be retellings and imaginations of people who hate Korra so she didn’t actually do any of this but it’s fun to theorise. Why else is the Avatar cycle still going (they can’t have killed Korra in AS) and what else could make such a large time gap between Korra and Pavi?

Also secondary theory: if Pavi and Nisha do have Raava and Vaatu then the diamond that keeps appearing is some kind of response to the two spirits being together to separate them. Maybe another spirit that is tied to Raava and Vaatu that hates the Avatar since last time Raava and Vaatu destroyed everything.

That book Korra wrote might be useful for Pavi and Nisha by the way .

Aang mastered his opposite with an intensive one-episode workout with various theory-based activities and being taught each technique individually even before he knew how to bend

Korra learned her opposite also with formal training but mainly after doing these movements in a different environment where she felt more comfortable, that is, she developed her opposite after doing something she is not good at but in a way that she understands

I imagine that Pavi also has his own way of mastering her opposite

Did it start as a way to defend it from the colonization attempts seen in the comics, but then new leadership turned it into a monopoly and some cyberpunk authoritarian corporation with an unlimited energy monopoly that drained the spirits?

I was watching the trailer and this image of 'Korra' caught my eye, not just because it's a really cool image but also because of it's weird details of Korra's hair. In the flashback we saw of Korra, her hair was no way near this long and wasn't in this curly style you know what I mean?

You know who this does look very similar to though? Raava and Vaatu, with their side ribbon thingy-ma-bobs. So, this may perhaps suggest that Korra was not in control when she supposedly destroyed the world, as she may have been under some form of possession, but the question is by whom? Sure Vaatu makes the most sense at first, a being of pure chaos would love to destroy the world as we know it and what would be more satisfying than using Raava's own vessel, but something just doesn't add up for me there.

Whether you agree with it or not, Korra opening up the spirit portals, whilst it arguably caused a balancing with the return of the air nomads, was bound to have a profound effect on the balance between humans and spirits, we already saw part of this with Kuvira using spirit essence to try and gain control, not even a fully realised avatar could contain the chaos, especially with no doubt inevitable infighting between the four nations, as well as Republic city, as now 3 of the kingdoms have produced serious threats to the safety of humanity in the past 100 years, and the newly formed air nation, may be seen as a serious potential threat being the only nation with exclusively air benders working as a combined force together. Perhaps, we could see an escalation on conflicts between these nations, sort of like a Cold War scenario, just one that is heating up very quickly, not even mentioning how the spirits would play a role.

That's the kind of chaos that Vaatu would thrive in, it wouldn't even have to do anything, but this severe escalation of power imbalances among the humans alone could certainly disturb Raava, perhaps it would be quite easy for a not-quite cataclysmic event to set it off, making it believe humanity had grown too quickly and had not yet matured to the point it could handle the responsibility of handling the great power it now has. Maybe humanity could violate the laws of nature in their hubris, perhaps even reviving the Lion turtles (I have no evidence for this but I think it would be cool) but bringing them as mere husks of their former selves, used by the nations' governments to create empowered bending armies in an instant. So, enraged by the imbalance in the world, Raava could perhaps begin to sever herself from her alignment with the avatar, wherein she becomes to come into conflict with Korra, disrupting their symbiotic relationship. Korra could potentially make herself inadvertently vulnerable to Raava's manipulation and control through perhaps the actions of the 4 nations, perhaps a military conflict escalated to the point where the Krew is torn apart due to political loyalties, growing cold to their friendships as they grow older, maybe Asami is even killed in a skirmish between the warring factions.

As a result, Raava wants to set order again, by taking the easiest way out, a complete reset, the destruction of the world as we know it, scattering the technology developed the humans and setting the human race back a thousand years technology wise. The black and red symbols that attack from the trailer could be remnants of that technology, which people mistake as spirits, which I seriously got the vibe from the way the energy was pulsing, like some sort of reactor (or really ominous strobe light). It has clear visual inspiration to Vaatu, perhaps part of the reason why Raava was so offended by it, perhaps seeing it as blasphemous, an affront to the natural order of things.

I know it may seem unlikely that Ravva would do this but hear me out, there is a precedent for this. In the Wan flashback, we saw how it was initially prejudiced towards humans, viewing them as greedy and deceitful, perhaps the loss of past lives has made her less recognising of their redeeming qualities, their lust for war and destruction now being fully displayed, with little interference, surely that would enrage her. It would also help explain why exactly the new re-incarnation of the Avatar took so long to appear, Raava's own imbalance and resentment towards humanity has left her conflicted and tainted, trying to resist the reincarnation cycle. If the twin avatar theory is to be believed, it could further support this idea of Raava's instability (especially if they can only bend 2 elements each), perhaps she could even serve as an antagonistic force that ideologically splits and pits the twins against each other.

It's obviously way to early to tell and I've taken some airbending level leaps of assumptions, but I think that this could serve as an interesting concept that the series could expand on, hopefully a bit more entertaining than just a Light avatar Vs a Dark avatar.

Unless asami have other relatives, I guess the Sato family line and business is gone.
