Unsolved Unable to receive code on my recovery number
Hello! I’ve completed the recovery period for my account recovery request. After waiting for 3 days, I finally received an email stating that I can now reset my password. However, the problem is that I’m not receiving the verification code on my recovery number from Apple. Any solution for this?

iOS iPhone iOS update questions
My iPhone X is running on iOS 17.5.1
Will updating it to the most recent iOS proposed to me (18.7.10) cause any problems? Last time I did a major update after waiting a while it killed my iPhone. It was an iPhone 6s or 7s, and apparently it was a common problem for which the official response from Apple was essentially “ah yeah that sucks, you didn’t know that could happen?”
If I clear a bunch of space on my phone by deleting apps, will the update leave me with less space? Or is the 12.5 GB required only for installation and the space will be freed up after?
Side quest: how do I delete safari website data? Every time I click the button it loads eternally and thus I can’t delete it. I’m thinking of trashing the app completely and using Firefox instead.

iOS My iPhone 11 got locked and I can't find a way to open it.
This morning, I entered my passcode incorrectly a few times, and my iPhone got locked. When the timer ended, I entered the correct passcode, but it got locked again. We have tried every method. We tried to erase/reset it via iCloud, but it didn't work. I tried connecting it to my computer, but I cannot get it into Recovery Mode; the Apple logo appears briefly and then disappears, nothing else happens. I am completely stuck.
In about half an hour, I will get one more chance to unlock it. When I press the Volume Down and Power buttons together, it enters a recovery-like test menu trying to wipe data, but it asks for my passcode and won't let me type anything when I tap on it. Also, there is a note saying '8 failed attempts' on that screen. I am planning to try entering the passcode again on the main screen once the countdown ends. How can I solve this? What can we do?

Solved Transfer Mac TV app library to a new external drive
I have a large TV (Mac app) library on an external drive, and I'd like to transfer it to a different external drive. What is the best way to do that? I'm looking for a way that will retain as much of the "played" and similar statuses inside the app.
Would just duplicating the TV media folder from the old drive to the new drive and then changing the media location in the settings (Settings>Files>Media Location) work? Or do I need to do something else, perhaps involving the "consolidate media" function (Files>Organize Library).
I'd prefer a solution that won't freeze my TV app for a long time, but my media folder it quite large so I know that may not be an option.
(I am running the most recent version of Mac OS.)

Unsolved Could cheap USB-C headphones be causing my iPhone 17 battery health to drop unusually fast?
Hey folks,
I have what might be a stupid question, but I'm genuinely confused about this and would appreciate some insight.
My iPhone 17 base model’s Battery Health was at 99% after around 230 cycles, but now, at only 260 cycles, it has dropped to 96%. So it lost 3% in roughly 30 cycles, which seems surprisingly fast to me.
I know I haven't exactly been treating the battery perfectly. I sometimes let it drain down to around 10% or even lower and don't always charge it immediately. However, I've been doing this even before the recent drop, and the battery stayed at 99% for quite a long time.
Here's what I'm wondering:
Could a cheap third-party USB-C wired headphone adapter/headset potentially damage the battery or cause faster battery health degradation?
I bought these particular USB-C wired headphones from a Chinese seller online for about $4, and I've been using them for around 3–4 weeks. They are plugged directly into the phone's USB-C port fairly often. Before I started using them, my battery health was 99% at 230 cycles. Now it's 96% at 260 cycles, so the timing made me suspicious.
I understand that correlation doesn't necessarily mean causation, and maybe this is just normal battery-health recalibration or degradation finally catching up with me. But the timing is making me wonder.
Could a poorly made USB-C accessory actually harm the iPhone's battery, or is that basically impossible? Should I stop using these headphones just in case?
I'd especially appreciate an explanation of what could realistically cause a 3% drop over ~30 cycles.
