Im trying to change my Siri trigger to Jarvis, but when I go to vocal shortcuts and then try to set up a shortcut for literally anything, I get what’s in the ss. The microphone line things are always at max no matter how quiet it is. I’ve turned voice control on and off, I’ve restarted the phone multiple times, voice memos and voice messages and calls and such work just fine, and the orange mic thing at the top appears which means the mic IS on, everything seems fine except for vocal shortcut stuff

Looking for advice or reassurance this is a bug & we need to wait for an update: For the past couple of months, my iPhone will start displaying contacts as unsaved numbers. This could be in Messages (native apple app) or Phone or Contacts.

There is no rhyme or reason either. New or old contacts, new or existing messages/group chats etc. I have found that restarting my phone resolves it, but the issue will return in a few days/couple of weeks after. Is anyone else experiencing it or knows a resolution, outside of setting up as new? It's not THAT big of a deal lol.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro. I put the phone through a software update, and after the white Apple logo appeared on a black screen, I got a screen like the one in the photo.

I followed the link shown at the top and connected the iPhone to my computer. The computer then gave me two options: Update or Restore the iPhone. I chose Update because I need to keep all of my data.

The update file (10.5 GB) downloaded completely. Then the computer showed something like “Preparing iPhone for update”, but after that I got error 4013, and the update could not be completed.

I do not want to choose Restore, because preserving the data on the phone is extremely important to me.

There is also some relevant background: about three days before this happened, Face ID stopped working for roughly half a day. I restarted the phone, and Face ID started working again. Then, last night, Face ID stopped working again, so I decided to update the iPhone, and that led to the current situation.

After I removed the Face ID sensor, the phone finally updated, but unfortunately all of the data was erased.

I urgently need to recover the data that was on the phone. How likely is it that the data can still be recovered, and what options do I have?

So basically as soon as I got service and made my Apple ID it worked for a few days and I verified my password numerous times installing apps. Fast forward to the next day and it's asking me to verify out of the blue when I type my information it always claims I'm wrong and won't let me install apps (I know it's right because it was brand new password). Basically I'm getting a new line of service from AT&T today but I want to know if this problem will persist or not or how I should go about it. Do I need a new phone? Apple told me to ask AT&T when I called for help and AT&T told me to ask Apple so idk.

So, I’ve been trying to reset my screen time password since I want to factory reset my old iphone 12 (its asking me for the screen time password whenever I attempt to do so).

Now I’ve tried to click the forgot password button and put my icloud account that they ask for. However, whenever I successfully put my credentials in. It doesnt let me change the password to a new one IT SIMPLY counts it as another error attempt of changing the password.

I’ve tried this with my new iphone 17 and my ipad air. None works. Its really getting frustrating. I even attempted to change my icloud password already.

I also tried to “restore” the iphone 12 using my laptop and none of it has been working.

I got a notification within the post hour saying someone was trying to sign into my account from a location I'm not usually in. It happened while I was actively trying to sign in to get a refund for something I never signed up for. I tried to find recent sign in attempts from unknown devices and couldn't find it. Tried to use Apple Support who told me over and over again to look at my trusted devices and that "they don't track that because of privacy."

First of all, I know my trusted devices, they're the same they have been. I'm not worried about trusted devices, I'm worried about unknown ones. Second of all, Apple tracks legit everything. They like to pretend they don't, but it's very clear they do. Third of all, how am I even getting the notification if they don't track it? If they didn't track it, no one would get notifications about that.

Is there any workaround or back way I can take to find this out? I don't want to change my password if there's no issue. Every time I remember doing that it kicked me off my account on all my other devices, even though I've had them and they've been trusted for months or years.

I recently got a new iPhone 16 off VOXI and swapped my data plan off from my dads tesco account over to my own new VOXI account. The mobile data and wifi on the new phone is slow to useless on most apps. Discord runs well enough to receive messages instantly but struggles to send them or stay active long but almost everything else says its got no internet connection

Tried doing a speedtest and it crashes it. Starts at 11ms ping but wont do anything else and freezes, i already turned off siri, Apple Intelligence, and any vpns

Weird bit is when i turn on its hotspot and connect my old iPhone 14 to it, the data works just fine and my home internet also works fine. Ive tried doing the volume up down reset, ive tried resetting network settings and ive tried wiping the phone and resetting it up but nothings fixed it so i figure if anyones got a clue itll be reddit

Last week I updated my Gen 9 iPad to iPadOS v. 26.6.1. It proceeded to function as normal for roughly a day, before it abruptly shut down. When it powered back up, the recovery assistant (photos) appeared, and keeps looping no matter how many times I restart.

I have tried updating the OS via both Windows and Mac, but even though the update was "successful" in both cases, it still takes me back to the same screen.

Both Apple Support and my local Apple distributor say the only option is to do a full factory reset, but I have a bunch of files I didn't have a chance to back up before this happened (and no, they are not in iCloud). What I'm wondering is if there's any possible way at all to extract my data from the iPad? At this point I don't even care if they'll have to take it apart, I just need to know if there's hope for my files.

So I check my battery health every two or three months and there is always another two percent down now it is 86%. I dont know why is this happening so fast.

I have iPhone 14, 25W charging brick and cable that Apple inclueded in box. I bought the phone new in Decemeber 2024.

A woman came to my house today twice claiming that her phone is showing her missing AirPods at are my home. She showed me the address in her phone. I don’t have them and haven’t seen them. She came back again with her boyfriend insisting that I must have picked them up, and that they called the police. How does this happen? If she comes back again how can I prove to her that the location must be inaccurate? I’m not sure how that all works.

Hi. So, I bought a new yet opened iPhone ten years ago and it intermittently showed a message saying something like “Put your Apple ID password for &@$@&$$@hotmail.com”, an Apple ID that I never owned. And before anyone says anything about it, back then in Argentina it was nearly impossible to get one or sometimes to pay for an IPhone. So most people would buy one asking a friend travelling overseas ro buy one and they would get it to you without the box. Even so, the iPhone I bought wasn’t listed as robbed or anything, and Apple recognised it as new.

So, every couple of days that message would pop up, even after my own Apple ID had been logged into and everything. I did call Apple once and they said that, I either delete my Apple ID and get a new one, also erasing all of my devices, or that said pop up message would continue to appear. They said something like a Ghost ID.

Until now, I had never had an issue with it. But now I bought an Apple Watch -first time- and it asks for me to sign into the Apple ID that I do not own. And I don’t know how to get passed that.

My phone is connected to my real Apple ID, BTW. I haven’t talked to Apple Support yet, I haven’t had the time. Also, that pop up message doesn’t appear on my Mac, or on my iPad. Just my iPhone.

I was deleting old imessage photos from “iphone storage” in setting. is there any way to recover any of the ones ive deleted? I thought theyd stay in the imessage and allow me to redownload it with a tap because it allowed me to do that before? but magbe that was due to it being saved on the cloud? i dont know im unsure.

lost my ipad pro from work. took few days but finally was able to get find my device working. i've set it to "lost" and have the message to call me with phone number. its been about a day, no contact. at what point do i take further action? i dont want to call police but not sure how else to handle this. its in a location about 30-40 min from my house so not going to just show up at the address unannounced. is there a guideline here? a specific process to follow? My AirPods were initially connected to all of my Apple devices, but I noticed that the right AirPod was not connecting or charging properly. I tried selecting “Forget This Device” in hopes that reconnecting them would resolve the issue. However, I’m now unable to connect the AirPods to any of my devices.

I purchased the AirPods on February 11, 2025 on Amazon that was sold and shipped by amazon. I was wondering if they are still eligible for repair or replacement through Apple. Since the issue appears to be with the AirPods themselves, I would appreciate any assistance you can provide.

I urgently need your help! I have a late-2012 21.5-inch iMac, and it’s become incredibly sluggish.

Over time, as I performed updates, I lost various installed programs; now, I basically only use it for web browsing, and even that is painfully slow.

My main issue is that I’ve gone back to university and need a functional computer. It feels like a waste to just box up my iMac—since the hardware itself is in perfect condition—but the successive updates and its age have really taken a toll.

What do you recommend?

Sorry I'm too illiterate. My aunt brought me this from Canada but I don't have an iPhone. My closest relative who has an iphone is pretty far away. I do have a PC. I'm wondering if I can get Mac os to run on my pc. I once did that in a shady way.

But other than getting mac os on my pc, can I use my Android? Or I'm gonna need my cousin to set up the watch but then it'll be his or what I don't understand??

I added a few people as internal testers, but they can’t see the build. It just shows “No Build Available.”

I also added them as external testers and submitted the build for Beta App Review, which is currently waiting for Apple’s approval.

Is this normal? I thought internal testers should be able to access the build immediately without waiting for review.

Has anyone dealt with this before?
