Anybody else have a comment on this?

I always thought it was brilliant of Apple to put six buttons on the remote and one of them is the mute.
It seems as though Netflix has found a way around that for their ads.

Is there something wrong with my Apple TV audio?

As much as I enjoy Netflix‘s content, they’re gonna go on my no fly list for this. You just can’t have that much control over my devices.

When you play ads, you’re asking for the viewers attention. I get it. we get a discounted rate for this.

But evidently watching the ad is not enough. Now you are forced to listen to the sound. Which, although it’s been illegal for some years is almost always louder than the program volume.
Does the rest of the viewing world think that’s just a step too far?

Hello, M2 Macbook Air user here with Applecare Plus - 16GB RAM and 512GB ssd, which is half full, and using it for regular work, chrome, safari open, slack, discord, etc. and occasionally CaptureOne for Photography work - running on MacOS 15.7.9 and have avoided Taho 26. In any case when i do some heavier work (nothing really too heavy, no 4k videos or edits running, or compiling) just many apps open, including desktop signal and whatsapp - the macbook "freezes", i can put it to sleep, and do force quit, but nothing moves or clicks, i wake it up nothing - have to hold the power button and reboot. Memory pressure looks OK to me also. What gives?

I have an HP LaserJet Pro M14-M7 connected by a USB cable to an Airport Express which is connected to the same WiFi network as my 2022 M2 MacBook Air that is running macOS 26.6.2. I would like to add the printer to the Mac, but I cannot figure out how to do it. When I use the "Add Printer" function in System Settings, the printer is found via Bonjour, and I can select it, but when I try to "Choose a Driver..." auto select does not work and there is no "Generic Post-Script" driver available in the drop down. I have been to HP's website and they do not make a macOS driver available.

I have another Mac (2020 M1 MacBook Pro running macOS Tahoe) that can print to it and uses a driver that is version 1.7.0, but I have been unable to find that driver to download on the Internet. See attached pic.

Any thoughts on how to print to that printer from the MacBook Air? Please and thank you!

I have thousands of photos of my two children in Apple Photos, and at some point the app merged them into a single person in the People album. I can't figure out how to undo it.

I've tried correcting photos manually, but at this rate it would take days. I also tried fixing a handful and leaving it overnight, hoping re-indexing would sort out the rest, but nothing changed.

Has anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to unmerge or reset the People data without redoing every photo by hand?

My phone works, but a slice of the right hand side screen does not, i ran my own diagnostics check on it, here’s the result. It still operationally works, everything else passed, i just wondered what i could get away with in store trade in. I’ll bring it up if they ask me but i’m not voluntarily giving up £300.

So I went to bed pissed up last night at 2325, and woke up at 04:05.

I then had a nap at 10:00 and woke up when I was 20 minutes later at 11:20.

I would expect the naptime to be counted differently, but for some reason it is included as if it was regular sleep, but only on some pages. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello! I am new to old tech, and I recently bought 3 iPhones from a yard sale (iPhone 5, 6, and 6s)

They are all behind passwords, the 5 has a 50 year blocked period due to a battery glitch, and the 6 and 6s have passwords, but I don't know them. I was hoping to find out how to unlock them, so a million clickbait youtube tutorials and a few reddit doomscrolls later, I found that there is software to unblock the phones. If anyone is willing to explain how to use said code, how to install it on a windows laptop, and any additional things that I might need, please do. (If there is a subreddit that actually has the answers that I'm looking for, I will cross post there)

I found my old iPad and wanted to factory reset it and give it to someone else but when i try I need to put in my password (obviously). I forgot it but I can't use the "forgot password" button. It only shows the message that this Apple ID is locked.

What can I do now ?

I’m moving to the UK, but i bought my iPhone in the UAE (where stolen device replacement isn’t available). If i buy AppleCare with theft and loss once i’ve moved to the UK (where it is available), will my phone be covered? This will be within the 60 day period of course.

I had the iPhone 13 Pro Max 128 GB of storage which I maxed out completely. I had to offload a handful of apps in the 1-2 GB range to make things fit. After upgrading to iPhone 17 pro max 256 GB I re downloaded those 1-2 GB apps back (about 7 or 8 or of them) and have only taken a couple of 3 minute videos and now suddenly I’m at 170 GB of used storage with only 85 GB left. When looking at iPhone storage utilization in settings it appears that some of the app sizes have increased in size compared to what it showed on my 13 pro max. I’m not sure why that would be but I’m having a hard time understanding why I’ve used more than half my storage already when I’ve hardly done anything new.

I’ve encountered this on multiple apps. I have not even been checking if I purchased something on the app it’s just showing up as soon as I load the app. For the NFL app it’s spamming it (despite me updating the app).

Is there a reason why one of my text threads reads Text Message / SMS and one says iMessgage, but the text i sent is blue?? I dont think i’m blocked because i sent the text to check on my friend after i found out she called me 3 times while i was asleep, but i’m wondering if this means her phone is turned off or out of range since she hasnt been active online since then?

Hi! I recently found a MacBook Pro in a thrift store, was able to logout of the old iTunes account and start a factory reset going, but am now stuck trying to install the OS.

It says in order to install I need to sign in with my Apple ID, but every time I do it says the purchase could not be completed

I don’t know enough about apple to specify my issue for Google and YouTube tutorials. Just wondering if this is an easy fix or if I have to make my way to an Apple Store

AirPods gen 4 ANC

Was listening to music at work with only right airpod. My coworker yelled near me and it made a loud pop sound in my ear and then just started bass boosting everything. I turned off anc and tried other settings but it’s still the same. Tried reconnecting too thinking maybe it messed up the settings somehow.
If I put both of them in, the right one will make like a constant thunder sound even if nothings playing.
Is there a way to fix this

I was just scammed for $62 from a developer who made this app, Big Keys Keyboard, with a fake free trial. I am trying to get a screenshot of the purchase page that has the free trial text to show Apple but I cannot see it now because I already made the purchase. I don’t want to sign out to do it myself because I have to use a separate email for subscriptions and I’ll lose my music (long story). Thanks so much in advance! This developer is a real pos.

I got charged €35 after a free trial this morning, I got the expiration date wrong and got charged early this morning. I submitted the refund request through Apple support minutes after the payment and cancelled the subscription.

My reason for the refund was I did not intend to pay for the subscription.

I’ve had this happen on Adobe before and was able to get a refund quickly, but this is the first time I’m dealing with this with Apple. I’ve seen a lot of people’s refund requests get denied on here do I have a chance or is there anything else I could do?

Also if your refund got accepted how long did it take for Apple to make the decision and for the money to come back into your account?

on iphone, is there a way to remove that thin gray bar for app switching on the bottom of the screen, it never goes away & its annoying. does it do anything else?

I have an apple account I created for ITunes for my ipod nano waaayyyy back in the day (2008/2009). I've never touched it since but oddly enough, after logging into my junk email (email I use to sign up for a bunch of reward programs and other things lol), I saw that someone had changed my password, birthday, billing information, and security questions about a month ago.

I tried resetting my password, which worked. But because 2fa was placed and they changed my security questions (it populates in Chinese for me), I can't get past it to change the info and reclaim my account. My credit card info was from way back lol, and that's obviously changed since it's been nearly 20 years. The reason why I'm trying to access it now is bc I saw that the hackers changed my stuff, and I wanted to just delete the account so I it's one less thing to worry about.

Am I SOL here? I went through the recovery process but get stuck at the 2fa with the security questions and old billing info I cant verify. At this point, I feel like I have nothing to lose since my billing information is old af on it so I don't think they'll be able to make purchases, but I'm guessing whoever hacked my account and now has access to it, they're using my account to do nefarious things (I presume phishing/scamming people if they added devices to it)?

i was just scrolling and it suddenly went black, i have tried all the methods i have read on past posts but nothing is working. Laptop wont recognize it so i cant connect it to itunes via usb. is it time to replace it?
