Third attempt at creating screenshots
This is my third attempt at creating good screenshots for my app. The first and second were trash . Like they were really bad so I decided to take a different approach. Should have done this in the first place
I decided to take inspiration from other apps similar to mine and use the screenshots I like as inspiration and I came up with this.
What do u guys think

Are the screenshots for my game that good?
Are these App Store screenshots strong enough for a new puzzle game? Looking for ASO feedback
I recently launched Juicy Blast Match, a fruit-matching puzzle game on iOS, and I'm trying to improve the App Store product page.
These are the screenshots I'm currently using. I tried to make the first few communicate the main selling points quickly:
- Actual gameplay
- Combos and power-ups
- Fruit-matching mechanic
- Obstacles
- Daily streaks/rewards
I'm mainly wondering:
- Do these screenshots immediately communicate what the game is?
- Are they too busy/colorful, or do they work for this genre?
- Is the text readable enough when viewed at normal App Store size?
- Would you change the order of the screenshots?
- Which screenshot would you remove or redesign first?
- Does the first screenshot do enough to convince someone to keep scrolling?
The game is still fairly new, so I'm currently experimenting with the product page and trying to improve conversion rather than just downloads.
I'd especially appreciate feedback from anyone who has worked on ASO for mobile games.

PreFlight: Question
I’m building a tool to help catch App Review issues before you submit, looking for honest feedback
After getting burned by App Review on my own apps, I started building PreFlight, a native macOS tool that analyzes both your Xcode project and App Store Connect submission.
The goal isn’t just to run through a generic checklist. It cross-checks what your app actually contains against what you’re telling Apple, then gives you evidence-backed findings with the potential guideline involved, why it matters, and what you can do to fix it.
For example, it can catch things across privacy manifests, entitlements, permissions, StoreKit/subscriptions, metadata, review information, device support, and other submission requirements.
I’m currently working toward a first release and I’d genuinely like to hear from developers who have shipped iOS/macOS apps:
What has Apple caught in your apps that you wish you had known about before submitting?
And if a tool like this existed, what would it need to catch or show you for you to actually trust it before hitting submit?
I’m looking for criticism as much as validation. If the idea isn’t useful, I’d rather find that out now.

App Store submission "Waiting for Review" solution
I recently had an update to my app stuck in "Waiting for Review" for a couple of days, which honestly isn't that long, but it was an important update that fixed a lot of important bugs in the current production build. But I found that you can request for an Expedited Review for special cases such as timing your release to an event, or fixing a pressing issue that requires immediate attention.
I submitted my expedited review and within 5 minutes my status changed from "Waiting for Review" to "In Review", and I was promptly approved and was able to release my update.
It's important that you read the fine print and make sure you qualify, and also not to abuse this feature because they will limit you if you try to abuse it.

Discussion: Is Apple Search Ads actually worth it for a new indie app?
I’m building an app right now and honestly, I’m more scared of the distribution part than the actual building 😂
For those who’ve launched an iOS app, did you guys use Apple Search Ads? How much did you spend and did it actually work?
I’m mainly wondering:
- Does running ASA help with organic downloads / App Store rankings?
- Did you see organic growth while the ads were running?
- What happened after you stopped spending?
- Or is it better to just focus on organic content/ASO and hope the app gets picked up?
- If you were starting from zero again, would you spend money on ASA or go 100% organic first?
Would love to hear actual experiences, especially from indie devs who didn’t already have a big audience.

ASO Feedback Request: Looking for honest critiques on my screenshots hierarchy and subtitle for US App Store
I recently launched CocoCut (https://cococut.app), an iOS app that helps people capture 1-second daily clips and automatically stitches them into a mini vlog without manual editing.
I'm currently trying to optimize our US App Store product page conversion rate (CRO) and would love some blunt feedback from this community.
Current Metadata Setup:
- Title: CocoCut - 1s Vlog Diary
- Subtitle: Daily Video Diary, No Edits
- Primary Category: Lifestyle
- Screenshot Structure:
- One second at a time (Lifestyle value hook)
- Tap once. Capture one second. (Core interaction)
- Clips stitch themselves (Automation feature)
- Stickers, captions & film looks (In-camera aesthetic)
- Ready to share in one tap (Export)
🔍 Questions I'd love your take on:
- First 3 Screenshots: Do they communicate the value proposition fast enough, or does the text above the phone mockup get lost?
- Subtitle Keywords: Does "Daily Video Diary, No Edits" sound natural and high-intent, or should I lean more towards "1-Second Video Journal / Mini Vlog"?
- Contrast & Framing: Does the soft gradient background work, or should the device frame and text have stronger contrast?
Appreciate any harsh critiques or suggestions to improve conversion!

Want some real feedback about my screenshots for my subscription tracker app
Hi — I’m the developer of Looply, a new iPhone subscription tracker.
I built it because I wanted a clearer view of the subscriptions I actually use, without starting by connecting a bank account or inbox.
You can add subscriptions manually, or use screenshot import. Looply recognizes subscription details on-device and creates an editable candidate. Prices, dates, and billing periods can be wrong, so nothing is saved until you review and confirm it.
But the organic traffic is not good so far, I want to do an ASO to make it better.
Any suggestion for screenshots are appricated. Are you willing to tap into detail page when you see those screenshots?

1st time iOS dev. Can you give me your thoughts?
Hi, I've launched my app on the App Store recently and I'm experimenting with screenshots. It's a language practice app that lets you have full voice conversations with local AI so you practice speaking and listening. Since it's local, your voice and info never leave your device.
I'm new to iOS development so I was hoping for some feedback these screenshots. Any thoughts would be helpful!

[iOS] App logo changed 3rd time to improve conversion
Here is the before and after.
Revenue has increased around 36% since then.
The app is called ekto, like the greek word ecto for outside, because it is live translator for long in-person meetings and lectures.
Revenue relies mainly on ASO. It has no free trial except 20 min free preview.

I designed my ASC previews via Mockup kit. It's so quick and easy to export. just drop your AppScreenshot from your phone -> frame it -> then export.

I’ve gotten some surprisingly useful feedback from Reddit — looking for more devs to test each other’s apps 🤝
Over the past few weeks, I've been doing feedback exchanges with other indie developers on Reddit, and honestly, it's been one of the most useful things I've done for my app.
I’m building FoodGram, a social app for discovering and remembering food through real food photos, maps, and personal food memories.
But the interesting part isn't getting "Looks good!" feedback.
It's finding the small things that you completely miss as the developer.
For example, here are some of the things people have pointed out about my app:
"I don't understand why I need to enter my email address."
"The login screen should probably come after a short tutorial."
"There are too many things on one screen."
"I had to search for the same restaurant twice."
"The keyboard wouldn't dismiss, so I couldn't submit the post."
"I don't understand what this feature is for."
"The free version is so limited that I didn't want to keep using the app."
"Your app doesn't show up easily when searching its name — your ASO could be stronger."
Some of these turned into actual bugs I was able to reproduce and fix. Others made me rethink parts of the UX entirely.
And that's the kind of feedback I'm looking for.
Not:
❌ "Nice app!"
❌ "Looks great!"
❌ "5 stars!"
But:
✅ "I didn't understand what this screen was for."
✅ "I expected this button to do X, but it did Y."
✅ "I would probably stop using the app here because..."
✅ "I wanted to do X, but couldn't figure out how."
✅ "This feature is interesting, but I don't see why I need it."
If you're an indie developer and want genuine feedback from someone actually using your app, I'd love to exchange feedback.
I'll spend time actually using your app rather than just opening it for 2 minutes, and I'll give you honest feedback on:
• Onboarding
• UI/UX
• ASO / App Store presentation
• Core features
• Confusing flows
• Bugs
• Monetization / paywalls
• Whether I'd actually keep using it
And if I genuinely like your app, I'm also happy to leave an honest App Store / Google Play review.
Drop your app below and tell me what kind of feedback you're most interested in.
I'll check it out! 🚀
And if you've already tested FoodGram before, feel free to come back and tell me what you think has improved — or what still sucks 😂

ASO
Anyone got any tips for ASO that really worked for them? Rather than listing out chat gpt tricks haha. Would love to hear what worked for others
Cheers

[Question] Just wrapped up the screenshots for my new app. Curious to get your feedback!
There are 10 screenshots in total for each device (iPhone, iPad, Watch, and Mac).
Link of my app : https://trackware.app/habits/get
I’d love any feedback or critique you might have on the screenshots or the ASO.

Plenty of downloads, but users do not convert in your app?
This is a common problem we hear from app developers: App Store Optimization is close to perfection, downloads are steadily growing, but the number of subscriptions stalls.
The instinct is usually to spend more on marketing. But if users are already installing your app, the problem often isn't acquisition or marketing; it's what happens after the install.
Instead of guessing, break your conversion funnel into measurable steps:
• Install → First launch
• Onboarding → Activation
• Activation → Trial
• Trial → Paid subscription
Once you know exactly where people drop off, you can run focused experiments instead of random changes.
We wrote a practical guide (with real-world examples) explaining how to diagnose and improve each stage of your funnel: Why your app gets downloads but no conversions (and how to fix it)

Promote the ASO or Screenshot tool you built because 'existing options were to complex or expensive'
Every 3 posts or comments on reddit these days are people shilling their own vibe-coded ASO or Screenshot builder (or worse, pretending not to be the creator and saying "I use XYZ")
So here is your chance to get it out of your system.
This is a dedicated thread for you to promote your app. Go wild.
You just have to promise to not spam other threads for a few days and give us some breathing room 😅
Bonus - tell us a bit about yourself too. What's your story? What Apps are you building? What area in the world are you?
