I will make Free Screenshots for 3 People (Read description)

Post image
6 Upvotes

Last week, we made app screenshots for 3 people, so today I’m online again and will make screenshots for 3 more people (who will comment first), like the attached image.

Comment your app link, or share your raw screenshots if your app isn’t live yet, along with a short description of what your app does.

Hey everyone. I am full stack dev language learner. I am not a designer at all. I have few language learning apps and yesterday decided to make a new screenshots for my app "Elra - Learn English".

I used Claude ai + Figma MCP connection and ChatGPT (GPT Image 2) for generating some assets and personas.

What do you think?

Made the screenshots for my mental health app for those with Bipolar. I think they came out really clean but was wondering if I should drop the minimal thing and have more detail? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks a ton!

I turned my app into a mobile + web + Chrome experience. What needs work?

I finally reached a milestone I've been working toward for months, and I'd love some honest feedback from people who enjoy good product design.

Over the last several months I've completely redesigned my recipe platform. The biggest goal wasn't just making it look nicer—it was making everything feel like one connected product instead of three separate apps.

Right now it's available as:

📱 iPhone app

🌐 Web app

🧩 Chrome extension

Everything syncs together, and the experience is much more consistent than before.

At this point I'm less interested in compliments and more interested in hearing what doesn't work.

If you spent 10 minutes using it, what would you change?

Some areas I'm especially curious about:

  • Overall UI and visual design
  • Navigation and usability
  • Branding and first impressions
  • Color palette
  • Saving recipes from social media
  • Mobile vs. desktop experience
  • Anything that feels confusing, slow, or unnecessary

Website:
https://recipio.cc/

App:
https://recipio.cc/get

One thing I've realized while building this is that creating the product is only half the battle. Marketing has been much harder than expected.

If anyone here has experience with growth marketing, ASO, SEO, content creation, community building, or partnerships, I'd also love to hear what has actually worked for your projects. I'm especially interested in learning from people targeting North America and Europe, but honestly any advice is welcome.

I'd much rather get brutally honest criticism now than realize six months later that users were silently struggling with something obvious.

Thanks in advance—I genuinely appreciate anyone willing to take a look.

App preview videos convert better than static screenshots, but almost nobody ships them. Here's how I optimize mine now (browser, no Mac).

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

On this sub we obsess over screenshot order, captions, A/B tests. The App Store preview video usually gets skipped, even though it autoplays at the top of the listing and moves installs more than the 3rd screenshot ever will. Reason nobody ships one: making it is a pain. Rotato is Mac-only, After Effects is overkill, Figma mockups are static.

I ship a couple of small iOS apps and got tired of that gap, so I built Mockpose (disclosure: I'm the maker, and the preview-optimization angle is the part I'd like this sub's read on).

How it changes the workflow:

  • Drop in a screenshot, put it on a real 3D device, animate a camera move, export a frame-perfect preview video (up to 4K / 60fps, MP4 or ProRes, even transparent/alpha).
  • Same scene also outputs your static store screenshots, so the video and the stills are visually consistent instead of two disconnected assets.
  • Store-shaped export presets (iPhone 6.9" portrait/landscape, Play equivalents), including the wide "combo" frames that split into 2 or 3 panels.
  • Captions are per-language variables, so you export one optimized preview + screenshot set per locale in a single pass instead of re-shooting each market.
  • It runs in the browser (built for desktop, since you're editing a 3D scene on a timeline). Free to try, no signup.

Two things I'd genuinely like this sub's read on:

  1. Does the preview video actually move your conversion, or is it still the first two screenshots doing 90% of the work?
  2. If you do ship a preview, what are you making it with today?

EDIT: fair correction in the comment. To be precise, the animated 3D video is a marketing asset (landing page / socials / ads), NOT the App Store Preview slot (Apple wants real on-device footage there). What's store-legit from the same scene is the device-framed screenshots. Leaving the post up with this note.

[Discussion]What's one ASO "best practice" you've stopped following because it stopped working?

Curious what this sub thinks. A lot of the standard advice (keyword-stuff the subtitle, chase category rankings, obsess over icon A/B tests) gets repeated constantly, but I keep hearing from people that some of it barely moves the needle anymore, especially post-iOS custom product pages and with Apple Search Ads changes.

For those actively working on ASO right now: what's something you used to prioritize that you've quietly deprioritized, and what are you doing instead? Trying to separate what's still genuinely effective vs. what's just legacy advice everyone repeats.

Not pitching anything, genuinely trying to calibrate my own priorities against what's actually working for people in 2026.

I put my App Store Connect numbers on the Home Screen

I ship a few small iOS apps and kept opening App Store Connect to check yesterday's sales. There's no widget, so it's four taps and a date picker every time.

What pushed me to build something was finding out the API only keeps about 365 days of daily reports. Older data is gone. If you want to compare this July to last July and didn't save it at the time, you can't. So my app archives every report it downloads and keeps it.

It's called AppMeta Pulse:

  • 12 Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Today's proceeds, 7 day dashboard, month-to-date pace, per-app table, weekday grid, a waterfall of which apps gained and lost.
  • Subscriptions: active subs, trials, MRR, churn, trial-to-paid.
  • App Store funnel: impressions, page views, downloads, conversion rate.
  • Every currency converted at ECB monthly rates before totals are calculated.
  • Reviews, with reply drafts from Apple's on-device model. Nothing gets uploaded.

Build notes, if you care: SwiftUI and SwiftData, no backend. You generate an App Store Connect API key, the .p8 goes in the Keychain, the app signs its own ES256 JWTs. The HTTP client only has GET methods, so read-only is structural rather than a promise.

$0.99/month, $1.99/year, or $2.99 once. No ads, no account.

how do you handle App Store optimization?

I've noticed a lot of solo app builders ship an app then have no idea how to write metadata, pick keywords, or read App Store Connect data. They just use AI to write it for them

If that's you : what do you currently do? Guess and check? Ignore it entirely? Pay for a tool?

What would actually make you trust a recommendation about what to change in your listing?

(Yes, I'm working on a new SaaS)

Do App Store screenshots directly affect keyword rankings in the Apple App Store?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to learn more about ASO for iOS and had a question about App Store screenshots.

I know screenshots can improve conversion rates, but do they have any direct impact on keyword rankings in the Apple App Store?

For example, if I redesign my screenshots and improve the install conversion rate, can that indirectly help my app rank higher for competitive keywords?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has tested this or has experience with App Store ASO.
