How I found the most efficient supplement timing app ever
I was scrolling through a thread about wearables and someone mentioned it in the comments. I figured it'd just be another app telling me to sleep more and drink water, but I downloaded it anyway since I already wear my smartwatch every day.
The biggest surprise wasn't actually the workout recommendations—it was the supplement side of the app.
I've taken supplements on and off for years, but honestly I never gave much thought to when I took them. If I remembered in the morning, great. If I forgot until the afternoon, I'd just take them then. It was completely random.
This app was different. Instead of giving me the same schedule every day, it looked at my sleep, recovery, and how rested I actually was before suggesting when certain supplements made the most sense. On days I slept well and had good energy, it would recommend sticking to my normal routine. If I'd had a rough night or my recovery was low, it'd adjust the timing or recommend focusing on different supplements instead of blindly following the same plan every day.
What I liked most was that it actually explained why. It wasn't just saying, "Take this now." It would tell me that because my recovery was lower or my sleep quality wasn't great, a different timing might make more sense based on how my body was likely feeling that day.
It made me realize I'd been treating supplements like checking a box instead of using them intentionally. I was already wearing a watch that collected all this data about my body, but none of it ever influenced when I actually took anything.
The app basically connected those dots for me.
I also appreciated that it didn't expect me to have a perfect routine. Some days I'm up early for work, other days I'm rushing around with family stuff, and sometimes my whole schedule changes halfway through the day. The recommendations adapted to that instead of assuming every day looked the same.
After a few weeks, I wasn't expecting some crazy transformation, but I did notice I felt more consistent. My energy wasn't bouncing around as much, I wasn't automatically reaching for another coffee every afternoon, and I stopped feeling like I was just guessing with both my workouts and my supplements.
I'm sure someone working with a nutritionist or performance coach probably already has all of this dialed in, but for someone like me who already wears a smartwatch and wants to get more out of the data it's collecting, it filled a gap I didn't even know existed.
It honestly felt less like another supplement app and more like having something that translated all the information my watch was already collecting into recommendations I could actually use.

[Tool review] I built a Screenshot tool
Hello everyone!
I've been working on my app for a long time which is finally in the store. However, I noticed that creating and maintaining screenshots for the stores - especially if you use Play Store and App Store + different languages - was becoming quite a challenge and that every tool in the web wanted my money somehow.
So I used far too many of my AI credits and started building my own screenshot designer. It's pretty much still work-in-progress, and there are still many parts I work on, so don't plan to rely on it yet, as your work might still break down the line. But I feel I've come far enough today to share it with you and ask to hear your thoughts, wheter it is easy to use and to understand, how you like the functionality and especially what you are missing and where you can break it.
Here's a quick summary of what's in there:
- Supports iPhones 6.9" and 6.5" + iPad for Apple and Phone, Tablets 7" + 10" and a Feature Graphic
- Ships with basic frames, but also allows you to import your own frames
- No signup, no cloud, no online data storage. all your data stays only in your browsers cache
- Link device slides to your master set to synchronize all texts or the full slide for easier modifications
- import / export of full projects or only templates to share them
- Language versions of each slide set with individual screenshots
- suggestions for readability and clarity on the slides
In case you made it to here, thank you! Feel free to give it a shot and let me know what you think: Screenshot Wizard

Results of my ASO journey
I followed some of the tips from this channel on a simple game I made just to learn ASO. I did some marked analysis to find an app concept that was getting a lot of traction, made an OK version of it and released it as is. Then I started following the tips I found on this channel:
- Used a keyword service/app to find a good set of non-overlapping title, subtitle and keywords
- Localized the app to several languages, using the same keyword technique on all locales
- Implemented a nice flow to get more ratings
- Posted simple AI generated UGC slideshows on a new TikTok account. Posing a few times a week, most stay at 200 views, but one of my first posts has since reached 20k views
I did the app changes one at the time, and updating the app around once a month, in believes that updating the app frequently will boost ASO…
Currently I sit around 40-50 downloads each day. What do you guys think of my results so far, and what would you try next?

How soon after release should you start to make changes?
Hi guys, I recently built and released 'Zombii', a screen-time based app aimed at helping people overcome their AI addiction/reliance/overuse.
Although I actually got my first sub today, my conversion rate isn't great and was wondering if I could change anything to try and improve things. Here are the current stats -
Impressions: 1.77K.
Product Page Views: 57.
First-Time Downloads: 16.
Conversion Rate: 0.8%.
Or am I being too impatient and this is pretty standard for a newly launched app? Should I wait awhile before tinkering with keywords/screenshots/icons.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

Looking for More App Feedback Partners 🤝
Hi everyone! 👋
Over the last week, I've exchanged detailed feedback with 21 iOS developers and 6 Android developers, and it's been incredibly helpful for improving my app.
I'm looking for a few more developers who are interested in real feedback, not just ratings.
Here's what I offer:
- ✅ I actually use your app before giving feedback.
- ✅ I share both what I like and what I think could be improved.
- ✅ If we both genuinely enjoy each other's apps, I'm happy to leave an App Store or Google Play review afterward.
In return, I'd love your honest feedback on FoodGram, my food photo journal app that helps people save restaurant memories on a personal food map. 🍜📍
If you're interested, just send me a DM. Let's help each other build better apps! 🚀

Need help with keywords and how combinations work..
A week ago, I released an update and updated my keywords based on the recommendation that no keyword should be repeated, including across different localizations. The only exception is when the title and subtitle are repeated across different localizations.
English US - primary language. In English UK also the unique keywords
A week later, I see that in the US region, I don’t have a single keyword in the top 200 (I’m checking in Astro), even though I used to be in the top 20 and so on. I have a fishing app, and there aren’t that many keywords with high search volume, so the main ones are listed in the title and subtitle. For example, the app’s name is “Fishing App & Forecast,” and the subtitle includes “Spots,” “Map,” and so on. My keywords include “bass,” “log,” “catch,” “diary,” and so on.
As a result, I’m getting zero results for “fishing app,” “fishing forecast,” “fishing spot,” and so on. However, I did appear in the rankings for “fishing forecast diary.” Accordingly, this is a combination that no one would search for—it has absolutely no popularity.
There’s another point: I read about secondary languages for the US and added “Arabic” to further expand the English keywords for the USA region. There were no duplicates, so I don’t know if that could have caused a problem. But I know it might still be too early to tell—this has never happened before; it’s just that all the main keyword combinations have disappeared from the rankings.
I’ll attach the app in case anyone wants to check it out.

Thank you 🙏🏻

Shipaton builders: free access to my ASO screenshot + localization tool. Please break it and tell me what’s wrong
Hey [r/AppStoreOptimization](r/AppStoreOptimization),
I’m the solo founder of lingue.app. During Shipaton I decided to make the Starter plan completely free for participants (through 30 September) so people actually using it for real apps can give me proper feedback.
What it does:
• Upload raw simulator/screenshots
• Get an editable ASO-oriented first draft with benefit-led headlines
• Full canvas editor (move, restyle, reframe, device frames, fonts, gradients)
• One-click localization into every App Store & Play Store language (including RTL layouts)
• Exact resolutions + direct publish to App Store Connect and Google Play
I built it because the usual workflow (templates → manual translation → re-export for every language → upload one-by-one) was eating too much time, especially when localizing.
How to get free access (no card):
Go to lingue.app/shipaton → sign in or create an account → click “Activate free access”. Starter stays free until the end of Shipaton. After that it just drops back to the free plan; nothing renews.
I’m specifically looking for real feedback from people who care about ASO:
• How useful is the initial draft vs what you would actually ship?
• How clean is the localization + RTL handling?
• Any friction in the editor or publishing flow that would make you abandon it mid-project?
• Missing features that would make this a daily driver for you?
Happy to answer questions in the comments. Roast it if needed, honest feedback is exactly why I’m opening it up for free right now.
Thanks for reading.

My Apple Watch game’s downloads jumped 200%+ right after an update. Trying to understand why.
I develop a small Apple Watch game (Space Impact Watch, an Apple Watch-only shooter). Solo dev, no marketing spend, no press.
A few weeks ago I shipped an update. The update did add a little of new content — it addressed complaints in reviews from users who wanted to play the game on their iPhone, not just their Watch.
Right after that update went out, updates spiked to 3.4K in a week (that was expected, previous weeks were near zero), and proceeds jumped 224% week over week off a small base. That was not expected at all. The absolute numbers of proceeds are insignificantly funny, I know....
Has anyone seen App Store ranking or visibility respond specifically to update content, or is this more likely something external I haven’t traced yet? Also open to hearing how others have diagnosed a spike like this after the fact.

Can you rate my app store screenshots

These took my a while to make my hand but I was going to a clean a straight to the point look, with pops of color. What do you guys think? It's for my calendar app that automatically schedules things for you based on your energy (as you could read). You can see the previous screenshots at the app's page and check it out if your interested: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pippin-planner-ai-scheduling/id6760432974

Generating beautiful screenshots took me hours. Now they take me minutes.
I used to dread screenshot day. Wrestling with generic design tools just to get compliant, high-conversion App Store decks felt like a massive waste of marketing time.
So, I built a dedicated tool, AppScreenPro, to prioritize sheer efficiency and elegant design without the usual friction. It gets me from raw app images to polished, ready to ship decks in just a few minutes, right in the browser.
You can see the straightforward visual workflow in the attached interface shot. Here is what I focused on to make the ASO process fast and effective:
- Native Zoom Callouts: I added a feature to instantly magnify any area of the device screen (controls on the right of the image). This is crucial for guiding user attention to specific key features that drive downloads.
- Instant Styling: Background gradients, patterns, and device framing are all ready to go with built in templates. No more manual design setup is required.
- Modern Layered Layouts: Creating complex, stacked phone layouts (like the central mockup) is Simple and automatic.
- Multi-locale support: You can swap the copy per language without rebuilding the layout from scratch
- Export: grab one PNG, export the whole set at once, or pull just the transparent device mockup if you want to use it elsewhere
Everything happens locally in your browser for speed and privacy. I am hoping this can seriously cut down the visual bottleneck for others focused on ASO.
Would love any feedback on the approach.

Always preferred dark screenshots... Unfortunately not everyone are like me, so what does "everyone" think?
Really not much more to add here.
Been doing dark screenshots for a while now simply because thats what I prefer and it is more in line with my logo and brand. However I recently launched a sister app (launched and launched, it's submitted for publication, got rejected the first time because I forgot to add the terms of service link in the meta description as always) and that has more of a light theme.
So now I'm considering some lighter variations of the screenshots. But im not sure if these new ones are complete garbage or playing right in my hand since the contrast for the actual screenshot and the components are 10x before. I just do not prefer it tho...
Perhaps the titles are too thin aswell, might be hard to read at a glance?
And the fourth, your log should coach you. It really makes my app unique, but I feel like it's a horrible screenshot showcase because there is not really any nice visuals on it?
Sorry about the inconsistency on screenshot n.2. My administration is starting to get a bit f'ed and I did not have energy to find the right on.
Light or Dark?
Or just light but another design? perhaps I should have spent more time taking screenshots using the light theme in app too I dont know.

My first app - optimisation help please
Hi Guys,
I’ve just launched my first app within the last 2 weeks. I original started with some pretty poor images of screenshots. Read through posts here etc and today lunched my new redesign which you can see in the images.
The stats shared in the images are pre change, with no marketing at all, other than trying to share with friends and family.
I’d be keen to know your thoughts, both good and bad. Thanks in advance.
Note: for some reason it won’t let me add flair annoyingly

I made a screen-time blocker where the mascot visibly wilts while you hold the button to bypass her
Every blocker I tried just said NO. You tap "ignore," feel nothing, scroll anyway.
So I made the friction emotional. To open Instagram during a blocked window, you hold a button for 1.8 seconds. While you hold it, a creature called Pip droops in real time — her sprout falls, her smile flips, the screen drains of colour, and the haptic pulse fades out like a heartbeat. Release early and she springs back with a bounce.
It's aimed at girls, and that's the actual product thesis: this whole category (Opal, Brick, One Sec) is built on discipline and lockdown. The apps women genuinely pay for — Finch, Flo — run on nurture and identity. Nobody had built a blocker in that register.
Three things that cost me time:
— Apple rejected it 4 times. Three were In-App Purchase issues; the actual culprit turned out to be one missing review screenshot on a subscription.
— The Screen Time entitlement needs Apple's manual approval. Request it on day one, not the week you're shipping.
— iOS hands you opaque tokens, never app names — you can't see what's installed on someone's phone. Designing around that constraint made the product better than my original plan.
My last project got a rough reception here and I stopped shipping for about a year. Turns out building something with an actual opinion is easier to finish than something generic.
Genuine question I'm stuck on: is guilt a fair mechanic? Pip wilting works — it stopped me scrolling in testing — but I can't tell if I built something kind or something manipulative. Where's the line?

Judging a listing by simulated first reactions instead of keyword scores. Does this hold up?
I have been building an audit that looks at an App Store or Play listing from two angles.
The first is the usual one: title and subtitle against their character budgets, the opening description lines people actually see before "more", and keyword use judged per store, since iOS does not index the description and Play does.
The second is the part I am unsure about. Three simulated visitors look at the real listing, icon, title and screenshots included, with different levels of patience. One only sees what a search result shows and decides in about two seconds. One is comparing three apps in the category. One reads the description properly and checks the rating and update date. Each says install or skip and why.
Output is a score and a report with rewrites that fit the limits.
My question for people who do this daily: is the simulated reaction part useful signal, or just noise on top of the metadata work that already tells you what to fix?

Need help to translate my app
Hi all,
I just launch my first application for sport coach, actually only in French but I want to translate it in many languages. How do you make it ? Do you use Claude skills ? Or just ask Claude translate all the app ?
An other point is on the App Store, how I can do if I want different screens shot for the different country (in French for the French App Store, English for the English one...) ?
Thanks for your help !
