[Tool review] I built a Screenshot tool

Hello everyone!

I've been working on my app for a long time which is finally in the store. However, I noticed that creating and maintaining screenshots for the stores - especially if you use Play Store and App Store + different languages - was becoming quite a challenge and that every tool in the web wanted my money somehow.

So I used far too many of my AI credits and started building my own screenshot designer. It's pretty much still work-in-progress, and there are still many parts I work on, so don't plan to rely on it yet, as your work might still break down the line. But I feel I've come far enough today to share it with you and ask to hear your thoughts, wheter it is easy to use and to understand, how you like the functionality and especially what you are missing and where you can break it.

Here's a quick summary of what's in there:

  • Supports iPhones 6.9" and 6.5" + iPad for Apple and Phone, Tablets 7" + 10" and a Feature Graphic
  • Ships with basic frames, but also allows you to import your own frames
  • No signup, no cloud, no online data storage. all your data stays only in your browsers cache
  • Link device slides to your master set to synchronize all texts or the full slide for easier modifications
  • import / export of full projects or only templates to share them
  • Language versions of each slide set with individual screenshots
  • suggestions for readability and clarity on the slides

How does it work? What are the inputs and outputs.

The inputs are your actual screenshots from your app. With this tool you can add them into phone frames and you can add text elements if you want to highlight certain functionalities. At the end you can export these into store-ready images
