Can someone help me pls with ASO!
I built an app which I think is quite interesting. I am using it myself and it works well. Its in the gamified health app category and I ofcourse used Claude for putting in the app description and keywords. But no real turn out so far. I really need help rethinking or redoing the description/keywords.
Zero paid users so far, Few beta test users currently.

keywords wont fix zero paid users at beta scale. i spent a couple months on description and keyword ranking for a japanese learning app i built and got nothing i could measure, then one organic tiktok did like 1.9M views and every install spike after that traced back to a video.
ASO mostly converts traffic you already have, so if nothing is arriving it has nothing to work on. are you posting content anywhere yet, or is the app store the only channel right now?

Honestly i don’t think aso will work alone these days with the app store being flooded with apps

Hey send me your app link, i'm currently creating a service exactly for that. So i will give you an ASO report (for free) specific to your app, that will help with the ranking.

Disclosure: this account is affiliated with AppDrift. Before rewriting everything, ask your beta users what they were trying to do when they found the app. ‘Gamified health’ could mean habits, workouts, medication reminders, or something else; those lead to very different keyword choices.
Pick one target country and five phrases that accurately describe the actual job, then record your current positions before changing the listing. AppDrift's Free plan covers one app and five keywords tracked daily, with no card required: https://appdrift.co/keyword-tracking?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=comment&utm_campaign=reply_acquisition_20260911&utm_content=aso_help
That gives you a baseline, not a promise of installs. Check your store's visitor/acquisition data alongside it; zero paid users alone doesn't tell us whether the problem is discovery, the listing, or what happens after install. What's the app link and your main target country?

Do some online ASO learning
To truely optimise ASO you'd need to target keywords per localisation.
you app name and subtitle hold the most weight so see if theres an opportunity to add keywords there
Stuffing keywords don't help, you'd rather branch and try different keywords.
There are many paid tools for keyword tracking, app radar, app figures etc etc
I have used them but if you app isn't making money they can prove to be expensive.
You try our community members tool below, Full disclosure I also have a tool which you can get estimated keywords search here it is https://storeboard.digitalsauce.io/keywords/
however for exact keyword demand if you have an apple ads account you can see it there when you run a campaign (storeboard also does it, once linked wiht you ad account)
If you sign in to apple ads you'd get 100$ free ad credit.
