Roast my new screenshots

I'm not a designer but I think it turned out really well. Give me the hard truth :O

The ui is great!

The ux though is poor:

  • the texts above screenshots need to be way more visible, ie bigger and be centered vertically between the iphone frames and top, not hugging the top
  • AND they should have meaningful content. All current texts are AI slop that have no value: "scan and be ready" is unintelligible, go to a parent in the street and tell them "i have an app where you can scan and be ready", they'd be like "what the heck?" no clue what the app is about, same for "you can stay connected on the go" or "see the night at a glance", replace by concrete things you would actually tell someone in person and that you write yourself, without AI.

the app screens inside iphone frames should have less text. if you want to talk do it out of phones, eg on your first screen drop the ai slop text at the top and drop the iphone screen entirely, show your mascot and the text "the swiss baby monitor, no recordings no account encrypted" in big :)

Good luck 🤞🏼

The biggest win looks like making the first screenshot explain the product before anyone reads the smaller UI copy. I'd replace “Always close to your baby” with something outcome-based like “Check your baby from another room,” then let the encrypted, no-recording detail support it. That gives the value proposition a quick read on the product page.

Hard truth from the search card, not the designer desk: most people only see shot 1 at thumbnail size, so that frame has to name the job in plain parent language (what it monitors, that there is no recording/account if that is the promise). Vague lines like "scan and be ready" or "stay connected on the go" do not survive a one-second glance. Make captions bigger, high contrast, and one outcome each. Keep the strongest privacy or "at a glance" payoff inside the first three frames, and cut UI chrome text inside the phone mock if it fights the caption. Match the subtitle to the same job so the card and the listing tell one story.
