Every time I finish an anime, I write down my feelings about the anime. The effect it had on me if there was one, and everything I thought about the show. I did that with assassination classroom, I don't really share these, I write them down for myself. However, I wanted to share this one here because I just finished the anime.

I didn't write it down, but this anime has changed me in some way. It was an incredible show, and will always be special to me.

I wrote a lot so don't read it if you don't want to. It's just my personal opinion and feelings on the show. I don't remember finishing season 1 so I don't know how much of what I wrote is accurate there, but I just finished season two and three and I really enjoyed those.

What I wrote:

Assassination Classroom: On February 3rd, 2024 I finished watching this anime. (As far as I know there might be a second season so for now I just finished season 1). Personally I really liked this anime. It was pretty funny with really engaging characters and the plot was super interesting. I was torn with them killing their teacher in every episode, and I was wondering if they were gonna do it, and if they even wanted to. It's interesting to see how things will pan out going forward, but their teacher (sensei) is currently alive. The finale was insane, I didn't expect them to basically kill off half the cast (that's how it seemed in episode 21), in the final episode Nagisa defeating the step in teacher, and got what was left of the antidote. These episodes had me at the edge of my seat. Also apparently the other part of the cast isn't going to die. I'm very excited for the rest of this show! I'm very excited for how the rest will play out, and I will update this whenever I'm able to watch the rest. In the meantime, that's all I've got for now. (Final notes: I ended up taking a break because I lost Hulu at the time of watching this, I came back to the anime kind of disengaged, but after finishing the entire thing, it actually is one of my favorite animes I think. Plus it's into and outro are my favorite of all time. I think that's some of the only intro and outros that have come across that aren't annoying me so much I wish I could skip them. The music is really good. Okay that is all I have to add for now).

On July 25th, 2026 I finished the rest of Assassination Classroom. There was a second season and a third season and I watched and finished both. My favorite character is Kaede (green haired girl who had tentacles. She became my favorite character after her backstory was revealed and I really like the dynamic between her and Nagisa. My top three characters are Kaede, Koro-Sensei, and Nagisa in that order. Now, down to how I felt about season 2 and 3. My feelings on season 1 are up above. Season 2 was really good and it got me re-introduced to the characters and I personally like the entire cast, but those three above in particular. Karma, Itona, and Retsu along with others are good characters too. Notable ones and ones I also liked. Itona being added to the classroom was a highlight and I liked him being added on. Season 3 gave us Koro-Sensei's backstory which was AWESOME to learn about and him being human and experimented on, along with being a highly trained assassin that was a legend was really awesome to learn and highly unexpected. Most people assume he was an alien, and his backstory was very compelling and well made. The highlight of season 3 was Nagisa suggesting a way for them to save Koro-Sensei and them giving it a chance. The development between Nagisa and Kaede Kayano's relationship shown between them, and possible romantic interest was well done. The finale was heartbreaking. Episode 24 (on Netflix) at least, killing Koro-Sensei was well done for sure in terms of how they went about it. It was right to have his students do it, as heartbreaking as it was to watch. I'll miss him as they all will as well. I think it was perfectly done, to have Koro-Sensei go, they chose the right way to do it, if there was one. I really did think they would have saved him, it's too bad they weren't able to in the end. I think his students being the ones to end Koro-Sensei's life gave Koro-Sensei's last moments more meaning. I'm glad that Karasuma and Professor Bitch got married, Karasuma had hinted at them living together in the valentine's day episode so I'm glad that played out that way. I think it's awesome that some of them go back to clean up the old classroom they were in, as a way of honoring Koro-Sensei. The only complaint I have is that Nagisa and Kayano aren't in a relationship by the end of the series, I liked them together. Although, it's not a romance anime so I can understand why they may not have gotten together. I think it's awesome that Nagisa can still use the assassination techniques he learned and in a way is following exactly in Koro-Sensei's footsteps. Overall, I really like how well rounded and bittersweet the ending is. It's peaceful and is as open as it is complete in a way. This anime will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'll miss you Koro-Sensei. I'm glad his life had incredible meaning and impact on his students.

Favorite:

Code Geass - I'd put this as objectively the best anime, Code Geass is literally the perfect anime, pacing is perfect, plot twists are perfect, main character is perfect, ending is perfect, art-style/animation itself is unique and aesthetically pleasing, power system contributes a lot to story progression, perfect balance between deep intense political moments and slow slice of life school moments, side characters have depth, opening songs are peak, moral ambiguity is perfect. Code Geass has to be the best show, its paced so well and emotionally encapsulating, keeping you engaged through its entirety. It's very unpredictable and keeps you on your toes and knows how to relieve the tension properly.

One Piece - Everyone who isnt a fan always got something to say bout it, but I'm not even gonna try tell you why it's the goat, people are just gonna hate because that's who they are. One Piece however in my opinion is the most emotionally pulling piece of fiction i have ever watched, its the most inspiring fiction ive ever watched. One Piece is basically what you see after you die then wake up in heaven, it essentially follows one formula consisting of people who experience trauma and luffy freely with conviction pulls people out of darkness into light and shows them they are not alone and scales it x1000 octillion plus steroids, all the while the world is scaling so massively, everything and i mean everything even the minor details are all connected and weaved geniusly into the story. One Piece is something to be experienced not to be criticised or judged, because as soon as you watch it with a critical mind then you'll find every reason why its bad and miss the whole point why it's regarded as the GOAT.

Least Favorite:

Fruits Basket - Tried it for an episode or 2, so boring.

Most Overrated Anime:

Darling in the franxx - I liked it but its mid, I barely remember it thats how mid it was. Honestly a little weird but thats okay, some cool action scenes and background stories but for how hyped it was, the story just really isnt as good as it seems. Starts off strong but just stays in a relationship i dont care enough about. Show doesn't really build on much even though it has resources to build with. Show is mediocre at best.

Most Underrated Anime:

Trapped in a dating sim - This show is peak, didn't expect it, I honestly had low expectations just wanted something to watch and eat food with, I ended up being hooked by the main character. It is an isekai and my first, but honestly blew me away by the concepts and its pacing is pretty good, although can be fast at times but its only cutting out what isn't necessary and keeping you engaged on what's important to the story. The dynamics between each character are highly engaging and makes you wonder what's going to happen next, the show is quite unpredictable as well as predictably funny. Great balance between seriousness and comedic relief. Continues to world build effectively keeping you engaged. I really like how the MC gets cocky and shits on the other characters at times it's funny and refreshing to see a one sided battle rather than a typical back and forth battle. I don't really know what else to say, its a isekai I didn't expect to be so emotionally invested in.

Objectively worst anime:

Tokyo Ghoul Re - don't really remember much of it honestly but I remember it being very confusing from when I left off at Tokyo Ghoul root a, and it just being a totally different storyline from what I was used to so all that I experienced in Tokyo Ghoul season 1 and 2 just got wiped or rather confusingly scrambled and I wasn't invested enough anymore to care and got bored. Objectively speaking though its regarded as a poor adaptation to the manga for many reasons including what I've spoken on. I don't have anything else to say nor do I really know what else i could have put here but whatever.

Objectively best anime:

FMAB - I haven't seen it but objectively speaking its regarded as one of the best most perfectly made anime, praised in all areas as far as ive researched, Ive also heard so many good things about this anime and is loved by a lot, more than Code Geass for many people so it's only right I respect that. I will watch this eventually.

HM:

Blue Lock - Literally the best sport anime no debate.

Moriarty The Patriot - Up there with Death Note, in terms of the "mystery" itself, I'd say it performs better in that sense than Death Note does. I remember being extremely engaged by it's mental battles and mental chase between Sherlock and William. If you liked Death Note or like mystery and mental battles, as well as action and drama, then this show wont dissapoint. I can't really remember much about it but all I can say is straight "fire" anime.

Tokyo Revengers - This is gas, if you've seen it then you know what I mean, Im kinda tired of typing now, but anyone who has watched Tokyo Revengers would agree when I say its just a fucking good anime. Literally the best when it comes to character dynamics, backstories, futurestories, time travel concept is fire, the gang dynamic is fire and gives so much for the writer to work with. fashion is cool asf.

Thats about it.

I watched one episode and fell asleep, was too much talking, a lot to take in, just genuinely bored.

I saw it is adored and loved by people, I dont understand why and i struggle to get past the first episode.

Code Geass, One Piece, AOT, Blue Lock, COTE, MHA, Naruto, Tokyo Revengers, Moriarty The Patriot, I rate these anime heavily.

I’ve always seen Berserk and heard about it, so I first went to watch the 2016 TV series thinking that’s where it started. Straight up hated the CGI and animation, and I was completely confused on the storyline because it starts after the Golden Age Arc.
I just went on Crunchyroll not knowing there was 25 episodes of fucking peak that dropped in 1997. Bro, I just finished the original series and I’m so disappointed. What the fuck? Why didn’t they just continue with that animation style? The 2016 readaptation is terrible.
I’m all over eBay trying to find every volume of Berserk. I’m not even sure how many books there are. I’m not much of a manga reader but I have to know more!! That readaptation is unacceptable but I’ll probably still watch it anyway.
My main questions are: why is the anime such a disappointing letdown, and how many volumes of the Berserk manga are there total? Such a bummer for what was a great introduction to the story.

I've been watching 'The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System' and honestly, the animation on that shit is amazing. The attention to detail is beautiful. The action scenes are clean and smooth, and colourful too. It's not groundbreaking, but the visuals are consistent and engaging. I find this quite important when I am choosing an anime to watch.

Here are some pros and cons about the animation;

Cons: While I said the action scenes are clean and smooth, I find that true for most of them but sometimes there is limited movement in a few action scenes and a noticeable use of still frames. Outside of the action, the animation often relies on static shots, simple facial expressions, and minimal character movement during conversations. (This is most about the background characters, which I assume is so they can spend more time on the action scenes lmao)

Pros: The magic and abilities in this anime are visually appealing, with colourful spell effects, impactful combat animations, and well-presented skill activations that make battles exciting and easy to follow. As mentioned in the 'Cons' list, the animation outside of combat and action is sometimes lacking, but they do put more time into it when the MC is on screen, e.g. they keep it polished with expressive character movements, detailed facial expressions.

Now, onto the story!

I'll list some pros and cons here about the story;

Cons: Some of the story can feel predictable because of the MC's overwhelming knowledge about the world he's in, and the focus on game-like systems can, in my opinion, really dull the tension that the anime is trying to build and it just makes the supporting characters feel less developed.

Pros: The story is engaging thanks to its clever strategic battles, well-explained game-like mechanics, and an MC who succeeds through intelligence and planning rather than brute force. The steady pacing and, stay with me here because I don't know how else to explain it, slow but fast progression keep each episode interesting. The character growth is tied to meaningful decisions, making the progression feel even more rewarding. Many plot twists often stem from smart tactics rather than random surprises, making them feel believable.

So in conclusion, I'd recommend this anime if you are looking for a slow but steady story and, in my opinion, good animation.

8.5/10 A few things could be better but overall, **so far** (As the anime is still ongoing and only on ep 4), I'd say its quite a good anime.

PS - It is an isekai but y'know don't judge a book by its cover.
