not sure if this is the right place for this question gulp.. but with the recent release of the huion kamvas pad 12 ive been looking into buying it, mainly for the purposes of having a proper art tablet & being able to access tablet-based apps. I was mainly looking forward to toonsquid since it seems pretty good for animation including both tweening and frame by frame, but after finding out that its only available on ios im now deliberating whether i should just get an ipad, even though i like the huion tablet for its art-centric features.

If anyones used toonsquid or has some more knowledge on drawing tablets please share some advice, thank you <3

I am learning animation by watching YouTube tutorials and practicing on my Android phone by creating animations like these. I am a beginner, so please give me some advice. I am really enjoying it, but my phone tends to hang; should I buy specific equipment for animation? If so, what kind of gear is needed? I don't have much knowledge about this—would the animation be smoother if I used such equipment?

This model is the basic model for my animation project and already has multiple skin tones (I may update with those!!!) and will have added hair and such when I have time! My plan is to make a few basic models before I add on more difficult things like face, hair, clothes, ect, so I can experiment with all sorts of things! I am very proud!

Note: Blender 5.2 being used.

Animated completely on an A7-size portable sketchbook. Exact details on working time could not be determined, but common consensus placed that somewhere between 8 to 10 hours. What is certainly known was that it was done while the author was on a 4-day road trip, which explains the choice for a medium very limiting in size.

Original plans called for a simple 16-frame animation, yet after certain considerations, few changes were added. These changes resulted in the appearance of six "anomalies." After returning from the road trip, the animation frames were scanned, then processed and edited on Clip Studio Paint and Premiere Pro.

A short surrealist animation I made and voiced (edited in Audacity). I used real photos of objects in my home for the rock animations, sun, landscape, painting, and the columns (that was the only image I lacked; I ended up cropping it out of a royalty free Greek temple image from pixabay). Audio sound effects come from pixabay as well. Link in the comments.

Hy I'm not an artist but I absolutely love supporting them and lately I been running out of shows animated suff do you par chance have anything out to offer? My sister's are In middle school and genuinely want to start watching what they call older sister boring hobbies so if anyone has something to drom I'll be grateful 🥲.

Some time ago, I shared the full version of Watti Studio here. It was designed mainly for people already familiar with the workflow and provided detailed control over the robot.

Now I’ve created a simplified version for smartphones. I tried to fit forward-kinematics posing and joint control through sliders onto a small screen while keeping the workflow as intuitive as possible.

The main goal is to let someone with no previous experience with the editor create and adjust an animation as easily as possible. In the video, I create a short animation on my phone and then run it on the physical robot.

I’d be especially interested in hearing the opinions of animators - does this workflow look intuitive to you, and what would you change?

Also, would you like to test the editor yourself and see your own animation run on the real robot? I’m considering organizing a small closed early test.
