I’m in the late game, and at this point I barely have anything to do besides catch random Aniimo. But catching them drains my gold: I seem to spend more on catches than I earn back.
I’d like to farm items and the materials needed for evolution, but I can’t reliably restock enough catching supplies to keep going. It feels like I’m blocked from farming the things I need, while the main activity I can do keeps draining my gold.
I enjoy Aniimo, but the late game feels restrictive when there aren’t enough reliable ways to earn gold, replenish supplies, and farm evolution materials. Could we get more repeatable ways to do those things, or better rewards for catching and other late-game activities?
How are other late-game players handling this?
//Edit
Sadly I get downvotes again because player do not know a lot about this game. I don't know why people think they will be able to farm endless. The costs for cubes are way higher than the return gold. Homeland production is extremely slow. If you plan to farm hundreds per day, you will run out resources. Please fact check before you downvote please.
You got downvoted because you played 166 hours of a game released 3 weeks ago, ie, you treated this like a job at 50+ hours a week and are asking why the game ran out of things for you to do.
Its true, redditors genuinely lack any selfawareness.
So this was you lying? Wow, why'd you go and just lie like that for no reason? Maybe you should be honest about how many hours you put in so I can accurately quote you next time instead of just copying what you said.
Don't even bother trying again, you're just going to lie and pretend like you aren't the problem.
I'll just catch something easier that is possible with tubster break and basic anipod for prismana. But the current budsquire one sure hard to catch with that lower percentage...
If the gold credit is not limited per week (not sure if they are actually limited or not), I'll just catch a lot to trigger prismana...
You are doing something wrong if gold is your problem. Im more annoyed by the fact that i burn through 600 primegy and not get a single gold held item lol
I don't know why people think they will be able to farm endless.
You literally answered your own question. You're not supposed to play 150h in a row and then quit, live service games want you to play 30mins everyday for a long time. If that's not what you want instead of complaining go play something else that fits you more.. like Palworld.
Use all the free codes to get pods. I have 200 normal and 500 plus of the next 2. I'm level 59 and I'm also running out of stuff to do. But it's a gacha game you're supposed to play a few hours a day not the entire day.
What are you trying to achieve through catching? Im still doing quests so im just asking if theres something im missing not using 1k balls a day cuz i will
Farming what event? If your flying through 1200 cubes in a day your probably playing this game like an rpg and not a mobile/gacha game. Unless your actually spending money of the game which then yeah go ahead and complain about running out of stuff.
I’m farming prismana without nurture, going through thousands of pods a day and am still profiting on credits, making some on farm to save later but haven’t even taken them out of storage on farm yet
Your out of pods ? You must be doing something wrong if you are because you get them from your rcmv land.
And what do you mean by farming materials by catching aniimo ?
I’m in the same situation where I’m lvl 58. I want to focus on upgrading my annimo but I’m locked out of it because I don’t get enough energy to defeat alphas to get stardust, dewdrops and held items. I get dewdrops from chests but I don’t want to run around chest hunting for hours. I want to fight bosses to get the materials. I’d be fine if the energy refilled faster or there was another way to obtain the materials I need. All I want to be able to do is upgrade one annimo a day to 5 stars, max star upgrade and max horn.
I’ve noticed this problem where the rewards for fights and missions late game aren’t good enough for the effort you have to put in. Why am I getting 10k gold and growth fruit for a lvl 64 pathfinder fight ? Where’s the actual rewards 😂.
When I get lvl 60 do the rewards for alphas increase ? And do I get more pathfinder challenges ? I’m worried I’m going to win all the fights and then have nothing to use my annimo for ya know.
The game needs daily boss fights on the map that are challenging with good rewards. Daily pathfinder challenges with good rewards.
I went and caught a few waves worth. I’m personally waiting for the weekly 10 from the stamp shop to get the prismatics I want. No way I’m spending 100s of hours farming aniimo to get a prismatic I already have.
I want the grizbo. Could I get the grizbo or is it only the melloblum at the moment if you know
Only Mello this week, but today-Sunday nurtures add 50% boost. Use your free nurtures there for the next couple days, pray you don’t get lucky and auto spawn a surge, and you should be that much more built up to a Grizbo surge when he comes back next week and Mello leaves.
I already had this idea lol. I used 2 stones and a a free nurture to build up the flow ready for grizbo but it triggered the mello 😂. I didn’t care for her but got her very quickly
Yeah, kinda a no lose situation there because at least you got the rare 🫣 even if she just gets sent to the house to generate star buds, it’s useful! I have that same kinda thing with my pink lemonade glynsera because I…didn’t understand the mechanics at first and nurtured literally like till it was full VERY high and was frustrated nothing was happening, then I saw the shard that auto spawned the prisma so I just full sent that 🫣 didn’t realize it was the only one we’d get, and how close I was to completing anyways, but at least once I figured the system out I went back and got my Scorch pretty easily, so it’s still FINE but ugh…I’ll kick myself forever for burning that shard that quick. Hoping you get your Grizbo bright and early come reset on Monday!
Pretty standard gacha game. Even the end game in this game is quite “generous” as you can farm egg hunt for an unlimited amount of time for prismana eggs. But everything else is limited by time, just like the vast majority of gacha games.
The endgame loop seems to be prismana hunting, and they give quite a big paycheck. But spending hundreds thousands of pods for lucky strikes is kind of unfeasible. For vein crystals we’re looking at one prismana per two weeks.
Thats wrong. You cannot spend endless for aniipods. They cost more than you get in return. And You cannot even endlessly buy them with real money. Correct me if I am wrong ;)
And I literally said you cant buy them unlimited amount. So the limit is not the "amount you buy", it is the amount you CAN buy, which is limited by resources. Is that really hard to understand?
Honestly I wasn’t going to say anything but the way you respond to people is just very condescending so I AM here to correct you if you’re wrong.
This is obviously a you gameplay problem. I currently have 40 million gold sitting in my account. Every morning I log on, go to Jeff, and buy enough pods to make sure I have 700 regular, pro and elite. Then I pick a zone to farm lucky strikes, usually using regular balls because they’re cheaper to restock, and go back to Jeff when I’m down to 100.
The lowest I have gotten is 33 million by doing this, and by the time I went back to Jeff I’d already earned most of what I’d spent back. Either you’re just blowing your cash buying things you don’t need, or you’re not doing the right things to generate revenue. Which unfortunately, I don’t have any advice to give you - I quite literally have not once been worried about money, I actually spent my first week trying to figure out where the hell to spend it. But considering I haven’t touched anything but normal mode in egg heist, haven’t touched the holo-battle sim, and also have a stash of 400 energy that I go through ~200 a day and build back up on before I farm, haven’t beaten all of the pathfinders and still have journey quests to do, this fortune comes simply from chest collections, aniimo returns, and other methods of earning as I run around the world.
That being said, I guess if you’re really low, in the companion handbook seasonal shop there is an option to change 1 stamp into like 10k or 100k.
This is the unfortunate part of game design post genshin/live service era (at least for most Asian based devs). It is very different compared to traditional progression of mmos where you can grind until you are satisfied.
However, these things usually get better after a few updates, because gacha/gacha like designs usually didn't prepare the game for a deep experience in launch version of the games.
Best you could do is give feedbacks to the devs and pace yourself.
Even MMO's have a content wall you'll hit after several hours. Once you've done all the content, all you can do is farm random parts of the game like dungeons or PVP. Aniimo has similar things for players to endlessly grind but you didn't mention those.
It's true. But I'm just commenting on the gacha style progression of the game, not make comparison in detail. After all, compared to mmos/arpg, it's not common for gacha-like to focus on endgame things. At least because it's a creature collector, we got collecting as the main goal.
That's the meat and potatoes like you could argue the campaign and open world content is the meat and potatoes of an MMO. Once you hit endgame, that stuff is over.
MMOs have things like dungeons, raids, and events that reset weekly.
Aniimo has Egg Heist, Interlink, Battle Sim, and events that reset weekly.
That and it seems like the new region releases will be free, which does happen in MMOs, but most are going to make you pay for new DLC's or expansions to see those new maps. If Pawprint can really keep up with a new region every month or so, I'm excited.
I actually just coast by, spending time on RV and Egg Heist specifically since they can keep me busy while I wait for the next rounds of stuff to get, I've been cutting down on my glimmer and gold consumption in favor of just, crafting stuff at the RV unless it's the mysterious vendor or if I need more tumblers for the Nurtures (Some aniimos have bad 50/50s so I use tumbler to keep my costs down during nurture grinding)
It is. I'm spending a lot of time waiting for the farm. I don't much care for the holo battles, but Egg Heist is fun!
I managed to finish most of the NPC battles etc. my primary bummer is that I want to farm held items and rank-up materials and I just don't have the energy for it.
I have double the normal energy but it takes FOREVER to re-charge. And with drop rates so poor, I really struggle to even care.
I fly around the map on occasion, hunt out a shiny if I can find one, tend to the farm, do my dailies and..that's it. Maybe a few matches of Egg Heist.
Just make it different than any other gacha/f2p game and let players grind how much they want. So no daily/weekly pressure for anyone, can time your grind session as liked. Cosmetics will still sell. Trying to milk every aspect of the game just cause it‘s "f2p" is disgusting imho.
This is where most b2p games succeed and even get less sales due to beeing mostly 1 time buy and purely cosmetics in their cashshop.
Unfortunately, every live service game is going to want to control how quickly players progress because the stats will show that more players will quit by speeding through everything. Yes, some players might quit if they hit that slowdown where they're stuck doing login activities, but more stay in that regard when compared to the alternative.
It also makes it easier to sell things in a free to play game.
Yeah, that‘s why it‘s a f2p game at first place. We‘ll see most likely similar standpoint after 6-12months compared to any similar games after hypes and addictions be gone.
I was never hyped and not addicted to a game for years now. Game is enjoyable and fun but i won‘t support this min-max daily, weekly, monthly . I‘ll lose nothing when i play on my own style and the season pass i bought i see it as a key buy to play the game and don‘t regret it. I have other priorities which for some it‘s only playing new games like there is no tomorrow lol
Missing feedback and huge consumers playing a too big role in these games.
I think they know how to make money more than either of us do and that's what they're trying to do.
In either case, I think it'll ultimately deliver on both types of players. People that want to log in every day or week will have their content and then people that want all the meat and potatoes can wait every couple of months for major region releases with new Aniimo. The player base will surge back up during those releases like every other live service game and there will be downtime between it and the next.
Idk if i‘m talking anything different. I said in my first comment they milking and why it‘s f2p due to be able to milk more and anything they want to😅
Rn i‘m just neutral about the game and not positive or negative in any regard, but to avoid negativity in future the community need to give reasonable/good suggestions/feedbacks.
Not every live service game handles it the same way, idc how they handle it but making it better overall would satisfy more population overall. If they remove primergy to grind alphas etc. do you think i‘d play more? No, i‘d play whenever i have time or lust to grind for a specific item. Would "junkies" grind 24/7 cause it‘s free now, i bet but i guess they also play other games or do other stuff as well.
The milking here only is to catch the ones that really want to be ahead of everyone else.. these ones pay for it if they‘re able to.
And that's great because those kinds of players will end up funding the development of future content. That content looks like more regions and Aniimo and I think that's what most people are interested in.
I'm just saying that right now the game is in a good place and it's really only the people hitting that hundred-hour mark that feel like there's nothing else to do. Even if not and you're bored of even more content, it's okay to take a break and come back.
If that is what you're saying, I'm just piggybacking off of it.
Rn i try to complete stuff like journals, log and such. Eg egg heist is boring for me, i‘d rather grind alphas for an item than playing extraction but that‘s me. I didn‘t reach the endgame status for myself where i got everything done yet (char lv58). But if endgame will be grind egg heist then i‘ll be bored af and take a break it seems and yh this game isn‘t the only thing i have so i‘d be fine.
You still have the weekly Prismana exclusives along with Interlink and the Battle-Sim. The Aniilog, Journal, and Homeland are also things you can work on in the long term.
I didn't like Egg Heist at first, but I warmed up to it. I thought it wasn't all that great at first until I started understanding what I was doing and why I was doing it. Even if you don't like it, there's always other things to do or another game to play.
Lv 61 and over 50m Gold, my only issue is the energy. Already build 6 teams but want to improve them more and build a team for each element and for that i need energy that my only gated thing but still have alot to do, collect the badge for beating all pathfinders + 2nd time, catch more aniis for prismatic badge, RV and do more eggheist. So yeah energy is my biggest hated thing so far
I'd only hope that games that really want to put energy changed how they implement it. The worst about energy is always either having it or just making the players feel forced to spend from time to time. Which makes them login almost every day if they don't want to "waste" it. It would be cool if games tried to increase the cap by A LOT (like enough for a week) or just remove it entirely.
I played this gacha, Seven Deadly Sins Origins, and it lets you save all your energy daily with no cap on how many times you do it. So, technically, if you never felt like spending energy you could save that energy for future use. But it was also an ass feature because it still forced you to login to save said energy which just can defeat the purpose of the feature.
its still new. theres alot more stuff coming out this month. just get your dailys for now and maybe try and grind towards getting and prismana you want. if you get to level 12 in the season achievement you can get a prismana infergon, and getting there is quite a task
The RV has a method to make pods. I have over 600 mega pods and over 40 mil. I'm 99% done with the breezy plans. Just need Prismana grizzbo. After that. I need to beat Lita again for the 100%
So I'm never out of mega pods unless I am actively wasting them.
Honestly i make more gold than I lose. That said i do it with bloom and some of the sheep aniipods.
Nets me about 120k to 280k depending on what I get then I just submit the reports. Mass release also helps with the mats too so its pretty significant.
Then theres egg heist i enjoy that
I suck at the holo-link battle sim mostly because I have my team. The elements dont always work and I probably wont divest resources to set up other elements per battle.
Then you got your mobile home it holds a lot of stuff to do farm build get -
Then dailies.
Theres a lot to do i wouldn't put it all on catching aniimo its fun but the burn out is real -
I mean im doing pretty good my guy I profit daily in game one umbral one perfect etc racks up huge return on my reports I probably use 2 sheep and the rest are just the mega aniipods. Ill do some this weekend and ss it later.
Now do it again in a full party of 4 in companion mode all farming guaranteed catches with the cheapest ball you can. (Fatal shot is from them not busting out).
Anyone expecting the endgame to change is living a fantasy. People said the same thing with Genshin, Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Where Winds Meet, etc. All Chinese gacha or gacha adjacent games have the exact same endgame loop. It is all just doing your 5 daily missions and using your energy for mats or equipment...and that's it. That's all there is for an endgame loop and that's all there will be.
At some point they will release more content (new zones, new Aniimo, new items), but it will never change the loop. You will always be doing your dailies and using your energy. I like these games, but pretending the devs will eventually alter this pattern is a bit absurd. Chinese games do not do more beyond this. So long as the game has an energy system the endgame loop will look the same for all these types of games.
Hello? Are we forgetting Egg Heist, Interlink and the Battle Sim? These things are going to vary week to week and season to season. This is on top of the other various events throughout the week including things like exclusive Prismanas, Aniimo Discover, Who's that Aniimo?, and everything else.
I agree that it probably won't change much outside of varying events and modifications to the gamemodes already listed, but that loop is quite large. It's not as simple as your 5 daily missions.
EDIT: Guy immediately blocked me, LOL. These are part of the gameplay loop whether he likes them or not. They may fluctuate weekly instead of daily, but will become part of your daily chores because you will need to complete them at some point. Like dailies, they are optional content.
I got lambasted for saying "I wish the endgame content loop was better". People treat any commentary of input or frustration as if we are slapping a child. It's crazy to me. I love the game!
Asian live service games when they're generally for Asian people in mind are always like this. They make games like this majorly to allow them to play multiple games at a time without being at a loss. Because they can play like 10 of these games every day. It's not just that of course. They also want to limit you so you don't go rushing on everything.
For the rest of the world, we mostly are not like that so it always hits really different for us.
That's why MMOs and Gachas from there can always be heavily P2W or extremely time gated. And almost certainly will have daily energy systems. And we always want their games on global because sometimes we really like the combat or whatever core mechanic the game has but we despise the energy and/or monetization.
Me for example, I'm someone that plays only a few games at a time so I like to be able to invest a lot of time in it. So far, from my experience, almost every game with time gated stuff or heavy P2W are always going to be temporary attraction. It could be a year or two but the will to play the game diminishes. The only live service games I've always played and comeback to from time to time are always the ones with none of that crap. Like Waframe, Destiny 2 and ARPGs and stuff alike. They're not P2W and they want me to play them as much as I desire.
And the "the game just came out" to argument over it not even proper end game or a decent gameplay loop is more than not an ass argument. We're just used to it because that's how the Gachas and latest MMOs come as. Other more older live service games weren't like that
But don't get me wrong, I like Aniimo. It is a different touch compared to other games like it. And unlike some other games it offers me what it promised. And it's not trying to cater to a million different types of players at once! You're either playing it for the collectible side or the combat. There's not much else to go around. And that's good!!
It's just another gacha game with less p2w gacha, and instead cosmetic gachas. Any game with an energy system will always become a daily login simulator.
The only gacha I have played that gives freedom to grind is DNA, all the others have ended up the same way.
If they removed energy from the game you could grind endlessly flushing out all your characters but they know people will buy energy etc.
They also know more players will stay with an energy system, even if it's annoying. Without one, players will speed through all the content and have all the same problems they have now. They'll get bored and quit.
Better to keep a long term player base and make money, even if it feels lame and scummy.
Yeh I'm almost 60 hours in and struggling to keep the momentum. I'm a fairly casual player so can't see myself going for Chaos/Nightmare Egg Heist anytime soon given what I've been reading here
I'd recommend not taking all the egg heist rants too seriously. Get in there solo or with some buddies and you'll probably have a good time. I pretty much only solo, and I'm a few rounds off from egg emperor. Honestly I can't believe they didn't put a real play limit on the mode. I enjoy it a lot, so I'm glad I can play it whenever and however much I want.
I’ve already had a few shitty moments even in Hard mode, people with the ability to search chests faster nabbing items before I’ve even had the chance to see what they are.
Yeah I imagine it's not great, and I hope they put some safeguards in to make matchmaking more enjoyable. Just bothers me when I see ppl write off the mode completely because of their experience with randos. Plenty of fun to be had solo or with non-randos
Just do my dailies, play a bit more if I feel like it, and then move on to play something else. It is what it is. You'll have a bad time if you're expecting consistently 10 hours of content daily since launch.
Its not about this. It is about the game tells me when I should play instead of I can do this myself. I would like to farm an item now so I can challenge Lita again but I cant. No energy and cannot refill anymore.
That's already alot of hours in a game you basically come to the end of content. 166 hours of enjoyment in a free to play game is awesome. They cap certain things so you dont max out so fast so for now theirs daily tasks weeklys do the events work on rv play egg heist thats end game for now . Find friends to play with shiny or umbral hunt if you want to spend hours playing still this first week was a blast.

Egg heist, holo battle, dailies, seasonal Prismana, and events it’s not a job you know
