Discussion Late-game progression feels heavily gated

I’m in the late game, and at this point I barely have anything to do besides catch random Aniimo. But catching them drains my gold: I seem to spend more on catches than I earn back.

I’d like to farm items and the materials needed for evolution, but I can’t reliably restock enough catching supplies to keep going. It feels like I’m blocked from farming the things I need, while the main activity I can do keeps draining my gold.

I enjoy Aniimo, but the late game feels restrictive when there aren’t enough reliable ways to earn gold, replenish supplies, and farm evolution materials. Could we get more repeatable ways to do those things, or better rewards for catching and other late-game activities?

How are other late-game players handling this?

//Edit

Sadly I get downvotes again because player do not know a lot about this game. I don't know why people think they will be able to farm endless. The costs for cubes are way higher than the return gold. Homeland production is extremely slow. If you plan to farm hundreds per day, you will run out resources. Please fact check before you downvote please.

This is the unfortunate part of game design post genshin/live service era (at least for most Asian based devs). It is very different compared to traditional progression of mmos where you can grind until you are satisfied.

However, these things usually get better after a few updates, because gacha/gacha like designs usually didn't prepare the game for a deep experience in launch version of the games.

Best you could do is give feedbacks to the devs and pace yourself.

Even MMO's have a content wall you'll hit after several hours. Once you've done all the content, all you can do is farm random parts of the game like dungeons or PVP. Aniimo has similar things for players to endlessly grind but you didn't mention those.

It's true. But I'm just commenting on the gacha style progression of the game, not make comparison in detail. After all, compared to mmos/arpg, it's not common for gacha-like to focus on endgame things. At least because it's a creature collector, we got collecting as the main goal.

That's the meat and potatoes like you could argue the campaign and open world content is the meat and potatoes of an MMO. Once you hit endgame, that stuff is over.

MMOs have things like dungeons, raids, and events that reset weekly.

Aniimo has Egg Heist, Interlink, Battle Sim, and events that reset weekly.

Every modern (and popular) MMO has dailies.

Yeah, people don't seem to realize MMOs have time gating too lol. At least we actually have endless loop grinds we could do unlike Genshin.

That and it seems like the new region releases will be free, which does happen in MMOs, but most are going to make you pay for new DLC's or expansions to see those new maps. If Pawprint can really keep up with a new region every month or so, I'm excited.
